In the midst of the chaos is a romance between Sam (Michael Hutchence), the lead singer of the band, Dogs in Space and his enthusiastic and beautiful lover Anna (Saskia Post). As life in the house spirals out of control, the growing demands and responsibilities of adulthood ultimately lead to tragedy.
