Pitt, Michod, Netflix Team On "War Machine"
Brad Pitt is set to team with acclaimed filmmaker David Michod ("Animal Kingdom," "The Rover") on the Netflix original film "War Machine" with Pitt to play the lead in the provocative satirical comedy.

Inspired by Michael Hastings' best-selling book "The Operators: The Wild and Terrifying Inside Story of America's War in Afghanistan," Pitt will play a four star general whose impeccable track record vaults him to command the American war in Afghanistan.

Determined to win the 'impossible' war with a radical new approach, he and his motley staff race across the globe navigating delicate international alliances, Washington politics, a voracious media, and the day-to-day management of the war itself.

Pitt, Ian Price, Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner will produce and filming is slated to begin in August. The film be will be exclusively available to members of the streaming service and in select cinemas next year.
