Emma Pyne
Emma Pyne was born in Belfast and grew up in County Clare in the west of Ireland. At school she performed in musical productions and countless comedy skits. At art college, she was part of a glam-rock covers band.

After college she moved to London where she became a performance artist on the club scene in the '90s and made her screen debut in Brit cult flick 'Preaching to the Perverted', later appearing in BBC fantasy drama 'Neverwhere'.

She has written two award winning short films: BEST ACTRESS and BEST SCREENPLAY at the F.A.S.H Film Festival in Los Angeles for 'Burn Baby Burn' directed by Stephen David Brooks (Fly Trap, Headz n Tailz) and was nominated for BEST ACTRESS and BEST SCREENPLAY at LA's Picture's Up Film Festival for 'Cúl An Tí' (The Back Of The House) with Stella McCusker and Bosco Hogan. She won BEST SCREENPLAY. The film was officially selected for 10 different film festivals including Dublin Independent Film Festival, where it won BEST DIRECTOR for Stuart Douglas.

She plays a jaded angel in the Amazon Prime feature film 'Angels On Tap', alongside Marion Ross and Ed Azner.

Emma trained in London at The Actor's Temple, and in Los Angeles at The Lee Strasberg Film and Theatre Institute. She has a postgraduate diploma in Journalism and a BA in Fashion Design.

As journalist she has worked for SKY TV in the UK, BBC, ITV and Channel 4, has written for the UK's bestselling weekly, LOOK magazine, and had her own column for London's GROVE magazine.

Emma began writing comedy in 2007 and was part of the MySketch comedy collective, doing a successful run at The Etcetera Theatre in London and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2007 and 2008. She did stand-up comedy for over four years, performing in LA, New York, London, San Francisco, and Edinburgh to name a few.

Emma continues to develop her own film and television projects and recently wrote a solo play.

She divides her time between London and L.A.
