DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince to Celebrate Hip-Hop Like Nothing Happened Last Year
Image
Parents just don’t understand, and they haven’t been alone in trying to make sense of Will Smith’s angry assault on Chris Rock a year and a half ago at the Oscars. Perhaps to remind the world that he was once wholesome and didn’t have to cuss in his raps to sell records, he’s reuniting with his old compatriot DJ Jazzy Jeff for a surely noncontroversial performance at A Grammy Salute to 50 Years of Hip-Hop.

The event, which Billboard reports will tape at YouTube Theater in Inglewood,...

10 Best Movie Soundtracks of All Time, Ranked
Image
Movie soundtracks can elevate ordinary stories, adding depth and resonance to beloved films. The lasting impact of these soundtracks is evident in the instantly recognizable songs that continue to endure. Sometimes, the music becomes a movie’s highlight, compensating for weaker storylines or characters.

Classic movie musicals like West Side Story have stood the test of time, while films like The Bodyguard provided a platform for legendary artists to showcase their talents. The longevity of these soundtracks is often measured by their chart performance, reflecting their profound influence on generations.

The intertwining of music and cinema is a magical combination. The closing notes of The Breakfast Club, the era-defining mix of Dazed and Confused, and the genius of Prince in Purple Rain are just a few examples of the powerful synergy between sound and vision.

No One Will Want to Follow Tiffany Haddish’s ‘Lip Sync Battle’ Performance (Video)
Tiffany Haddish
Tiffany Haddish just set the bar perhaps a bit too high for future “Lip Sync Battle” performers. Going up against Jimmy Fallon at his home turf “The Tonight Show” on Thursday, Haddish was sure to save her best for last, securing an easy win in the very informal competition.

Up first, her host Fallon kicked things off with a little “Groove Is in the Heart” by Deee-Lite, complete with a nifty aerial camera-angle trick. Haddish responded with “Afro Puffs” by The Lady of Rage. She rocked rough and stuff, but it wasn’t particularly mind-blowing.

That’s when the props came out and the whole thing heated up.

Fallon fought back with his best Post Malone. The “Saturday Night Live” alum paused mid-performance to get face tattoos administered by a stagehand. Ok, points for originality.

Haddish then...
