The performing arts have been an integral part of Marissa's life for as long as she can remember. She first stepped onto a stage at age 5 and had her first major film role as "pepper" in Disney's Annie at age 10. Marissa studied voice & musical theater at both Westminster Choir College in Princeton and Wagner College in NY. In addition to performing, Marissa has developed her own music company and is currently working as a professional recording artist & singer/songwriter; writing in varied genres such as pop, country, musical theatre, Disney and R&B.
When she is not creating music, Marissa finds immense joy in teaching private voice lessons to artists of all ages.
