Outlander: 24 Crazy Things Only Super Fans Knew About Black Jack Randall
Every once in a while, a villain comes along on a television series that is so abhorrently yet enthralling to watch, that you can't help but be intrigued by him (or her). In the case of Outlander, the main antagonist of the first two seasons was Jonathan Wolverton "Black Jack" Randall.

The moment we met him, we knew we were going to despise him and passionately so. He certainly left us with a bad impression when he tried to attack Claire immediately after she fell through the stones at Craigh Na Dun. His repugnant personality only served to make us hate him more with each appearance after that and yet...we couldn't look away.

Every time he was on-screen, being the menacing man we knew him to be, his cold eyes and menacing smirk immediately would send chills down our spines. The truth of the matter is, there will likely...

19 TV Deaths That Made Us Jump For Joy
Television bad girls and boys add spice to our television viewing experience, but sometimes enough is enough.

When their wickedness continues to go unpunished or even if it's a one-off act of betrayal or evil, it can drive viewers mad.

An evil villain can become so hated that when they finally meet their demise, it's a cause for celebration.

Here are 19 characters whose deaths were well-deserved (and in some cases a long-time coming!)

We jumped for joy! Did you?

1. Black Jack Randall - Outlander There was so much suffering at the hands of this bastard. Whipping, beating, and eventually raping Jamie were his most egregious atrocities. Watching Jamie gut him with a sword was beyond satisfying but almost merciful considering all he'd done. 2. Anika - Empire There was lots to hate about Anika...

Caitríona Balfe and Sam Heughan in Outlander (2014)
Outlander Recap: Roger That
Caitríona Balfe and Sam Heughan in Outlander (2014)
Need to catch up? Check out the previous Outlander recap here.

James Alexander Malcolm MacKenzie Fraser very rarely makes a mistake. It’s charming. It’s enviable. And it’s the reason why — when he realizes in this week’s Outlander that he’s accidentally done something objectively horrible from any angle — it’s so captivating to watch him try to reconcile his behavior.

He sputters. He tosses furniture. His face turns a shade of crimson I had no idea Sam Heughan could will himself to reach (and that’s even considering last episode’s Serious Reddening during the father-daughter meeting). Jamie’s extreme discomfiture,...

Caitríona Balfe and Sam Heughan in Outlander (2014)
In Case You Didn't Know, Here's How Old Jamie Is on Outlander
Caitríona Balfe and Sam Heughan in Outlander (2014)
On Outlander, Jamie and Claire mature pretty steadily over the course of the entire series. Much like Claire, there's really no sign of his aging since the first episode of the series, save for lighter strands on his red head, some wrinkles, and those sexy bifocals. Played by Scottish actor Sam Heughan (who is 37 years old), Jamie's aging process is meant to coincide, to a certain extent, with that of the actor so it doesn't look too superficial. Caitriona Balfe, who plays Claire on the show, explained why they don't use prosthetics to TVLine: "A lot of prosthetics can also be jarring and can take people out of the scene, and it cannot look perfect."

- The Crown (@TheCrownNetflix) August 28, 2018

Say hello to the new Prince Philip! Tobias Menzies is taking over the role of Queen Elizabeth II's prickly husband in The Crown season three from season one and two's Matt Smith. The new season of the Netflix royal drama has recast all the major players in the series so as to better reflect the aging process, rather than using layer upon layer of prosthetics on the original stars: Menzies is taking over for Smith, Olivia Colman is replacing Claire Foy as Queen Elizabeth II, Helena Bonham Carter is replacing Vanessa Kirby as Princess Margaret, and Matthew Goode is leaving to make room for Ben Daniels as Antony Armstrong-Jones.

At first rumors swirled that Avengers: Infinity War actor Paul Bettany was in line to replace Smith as Prince Philip for seasons three and four, but in...
