Tras una fuga nocturna, su padre decide ponerla en manos del Patronato de Protección a la Mujer, una institución especializada en «mujeres caídas o en riesgo de caer». ‘Weapons’ Star June Diane Raphael Explains Pantless Premiere Look: ‘It’s a Little C—y and a Little Horror and a Little Scary’
Image
June Diane Raphael turned it out Thursday night at the world premiere of her new movie “Weapons,” wearing a a pantless black tuxedo look reminiscent of Roxie Hart, the murderess ex-con turned showgirl in the Broadway musical “Chicago.”

“When you’re a part of such a big genre film and such a giant piece of performance art, it’s time to leave your pants at home,” Raphael deadpanned. “I’ve always said that, you know what I mean? It’s time to lose a major piece of clothing. (The “performance art” was a faux classroom on the red carpet inside the United Theater on Broadway in downtown Los Angeles that featured several child actors pretending to be unconscious at their desks and a couple of boys covered in creepy clown makeup.)

Raphael continued, “It’s horror chic. It’s horror glam and it’s a little cunty and a little...

Sonic–Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Crossover Now Likely as Paramount–Skydance Merger Nears Completion
Image
The reported merger of entertainment industry giants Paramount Pictures and Skydance Media is all set to go ahead on August 7, 2025 (via The Hollywood Reporter), opening the door for fan-favorite franchises like SpongeBob, Smurfs, Paw Patrol, and others to cross paths with each other. However, the most anticipated crossover would be between the highly successful Sonic the Hedgehog franchise and the beloved Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

New leadership is expected to take their seats in the office, with former Sony Motion Picture Group president Josh Greenstein said to assume the reins of the company’s new structure. This means, with new leadership at the top, mixed in with Skydance’s strong financial backing, a new cinematic universe might be taking shape, rife with tie-ins and shared universes.

Before Reacher, Alan Ritchson Starred In A War Movie With A Back To The Future Star
Image
Many fans of "Reacher" might not have been all that familiar with series star Alan Ritchson prior to the show's debut. If so, it certainly wasn't down to a lack of projects on the actor's résumé. Ritchson really broke through by playing Jack Reacher and, as such, must have seemed to some as if he'd come out of nowhere to play the bulky ex-military policeman. But the man has actually been toiling away since the early 2000s.

In his now two-decade career, Ritchson has appeared on screens both big and small in a variety of projects, including "Above the Shadows" (an overlooked Mma movie that's now streaming on Prime Video), multiple seasons playing Hank Hall/Hawk on DC's "Titans," and two "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" movies (though Ritchson hated filming them). The actor's long career actually stretches all the way back to 2006 when he first played Arthur Curry/Aquaman on...

Walter Hamada
One way to make a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin film
Walter Hamada
In April 2024, The Hollywood Reporter broke the news that film producer Walter Hamada and Paramount Pictures would be developing a film based on Idw Publishing’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin. In the live-action movie realm, the turtles have had varying levels of success.

In the 1990s, the original trilogy started hot, but fell in popularity, drastically so by the time Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III came around. Thanks to an explosive popularity due to the 1987 animated series, this was many people’s introduction to the reptilian quartet.

However, aside from animation, the turtles hadn’t been in the flesh, so to speak, for over two decades. Thanks to Michael Bay and a team of directors, screenwriters, and producers, the pizza-loving shellshockers were back. Well, just in 2014 and 2016, as the Turtles’ designs and the plots proved unpopular with certain fans.

Of course, the Turtles have found life in animation.

Before Reacher, Alan Ritchson Starred In A Sci-Fi Series That Deserved More Time
Image
Alan Ritchson so embodies hulking ex-military policeman Jack Reacher that it's hard to imagine a time before he played the role. Ritchson's performance in Prime Video's hugely popular "Reacher" — which broke a ratings record with its third season — is a big part of why the show has been so successful, with fans finally getting an on-screen version of the titular hero who fully represents the character from Lee Child's equally popular book series. But it took Ritchson some time to find the role that would make him a major star.

The actor took the long road to landing what has proved to be his breakthrough role. In fact, he's been toiling away on both the big and small screens since the early 2000s, beginning with his role as Arthur Curry/Aquaman on "Smallville" back in 2006 — though his real TV debut came a few years prior when he auditioned for "American Idol,...

Johnny Depp’s Only Directed Movie Scored 33% & He’d “Rather Vault It” Than Release It In U.S.
Image
Johnny Depp Directorial Debut Was So Bad That He Didn’t Release It (Photo Credit – Prime Video)

Back in 1997, Johnny Depp stepped behind the camera for the first time. The Brave marked his debut as a director, and he went all in—writing, directing, and starring in the movie. But after a rough reception at Cannes, he walked away from it. There was no U.S. theatrical release, no campaign to save it, and the movie quietly vanished.

More than two decades later, The Brave still hasn’t surfaced in the States. It holds a 33% score on Rotten Tomatoes and is rarely mentioned in discussions of Depp’s work. He hasn’t tried to reintroduce it to new audiences either. His stance was clear from the start: he’d “rather put it in a vault.”

Despite being nearly forgotten, the way Depp handled the movie tells a lot about how personally he took the reaction.

Nyt Strands and Connections Solution for Today
Image
Saturday vibes hit just right when you’re settling into weekend puzzle mode. I dove into today’s New York Times Games expecting a “chill” session, but ended up on a wild ride through summer vocabulary I forgot I knew and celebrity names that led me straight to Tmnt territory.

Strands delivered exactly what it promised with summer heat descriptions, though I realized my vocabulary leans way more toward “I’m literally melting in my chair right now” than the sophisticated weather terms this puzzle demanded. Sometimes you don’t know what you don’t know until a puzzle exposes those gaps.

Connections threw me the kind of curveball that makes you question your own brain. One minute I’m connecting Brad to Pitt and Leo to DiCaprio, and the next minute I’m transported back to my childhood cartoon obsessions.

The 10 Best Live-Action Comic Book TV Shows Of The 1990s, Ranked
Image
The late 2000s changed everything for comic book movies and TV shows, as the world entered the golden age of programming for the genre. From "Legion" to "The Boys" and "The Penguin," you would be spoiled for choice to pick the best TV shows based on comics now, but what about the time before the big boom? What about the 1990s?

It might seem like a period of famine rather than feast in retrospect, but there were a number of live-action comic book TV shows released in the same decade as the "Macarena" and Tamagotchi. You had "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman," "The Flash," and even "The Crow: Stairway to Heaven" to name but a few. Do these series hold up like their modern successors, though? Eh, probably not, but there's still a goofy charm to them that makes them fall firmly into the so-bad-it's-good category of entertainment.

Hello Kitty Is Teaming Up With Tmnt For McDonald's Greatest Happy Meal Toys in History
Image
McDonald’s is no stranger to pop culture collaborations, but their latest team-up with Hello Kittymight just be the most unexpected, and adorable, one yet. In Malaysia, McDonald’s is launching a Hello Kitty x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover for Happy Meals, and fans of both franchises are already losing their minds over it.

This mash-up pairs two icons from totally different worlds, as Sanrio’s sweet and stylish Hello Kitty teams up with the pizza-loving, ninja-fighting Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Darling │ StudioCanal

by James Cameron-wilson

Few films in the Swinging Sixties were as much a part of their time as John Schlesinger’s Darling. Chronologically positioned between Godard’s Breathless and Antonioni’s Blow Up, it is a microcosm of the tail end of an empire that was enjoying its last twitch of cultural significance. The Darling of the title is the extremely beautiful, self-absorbed and cosseted Diana Scott played by the It girl of the day, Julie Christie, the face of Ideal Woman magazine. And she would seem, indeed, to be the Ideal Woman, beloved of cads, intellectuals and royalty. The thumbnail premise is attributed to three men, the scenarist Frederic Raphael, the director John Schlesinger and the producer Joseph Janni, and it is Raphael who has provided the sparkling dialogue. Essentially it’s a satire of Britain in the mid-1960s, with Julie Christie the Carnaby Street...

Tmnt Returns to NYC For a New Era, And We Have the Exclusive Origin of the Series
Image
The critically-acclaimed new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series written by superstar writer, Jason Aaron is out with its first collection of the opening arc, "Return to New York."

However, beyond the standard collection of this storyline (collecting the first six issues of the series), Idw is also releasing a Library Edition of the first arc, and Cbr has an exclusive look at some of the extra material from the collection, specifically Jason Aaron's original outline for the series!

What was Jason Aaron's original pitch for the series?

Written in September 2023, it is remarkable just how thorough Jason Aaron's original pitch for this series was, and how much of it was translated pretty much exactly as he initially described it, luckily depicted by a variety of star artists throughout the series.

It is interesting, though, that the outline includes two notable parts of the story that are redacted, so it is...

Amazon canceled Étoile despite season 2 renewal (and this is very frustrating)
Image
When you're a fan of television shows, you become accustomed to the unfortunate downside of the business. Shows you love will inevitably be canceled before their time, sometimes on a cliffhanger, and the decisions made by networks and streamers will leave you puzzled. Well, the most recent decision Amazon made regarding the new drama series Étoile will have you scratching your head.

Étoile canceled after one season of double order

From Gilmore Girls and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel creator Amy Sherman-Palladino, ballet drama series Étoile premiered on Prime Video on April 24, 2025. Amazon had ordered the drama straight to series with a two-season commitment. Following the first season's release, Amazon has decided to walk back on that two-season order and cancel Étoile after only one season.

Sadly, it's not the first time something like this has happened and it won't be the last. Things change on a dime in the television industry.

Reacher Fans Need To Check Out Alan Ritchson's 2024 Action Comedy Flop
Image
He might have spent a lengthy stint filling up television screens after three seasons as "Reacher," but Alan Ritchson is slowly but surely earning a little more presence on the big screen as well. After appearing in a handful of films like "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" and starring in (and openly loathing his experience) as Raphael in the 2014 "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," Ritchson has gone on to join the "Fast and Furious" franchise, holding his own against Vin Diesel and Jason Momoa. It was in 2024, however, that he managed to steal the show from none other than the former Man of Steel in Guy Ritchie's "The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare." It's just a shame it wasn't particularly well received by audiences.

Inspired by actual events, WWII follows a small band of highly skilled soldiers ordered to go behind enemy lines and thwart Nazi naval operations. The team is...

Robert De Niro’s Sleek, New Seven-Story Wildflower Studios Gears Up In Astoria
Image
Back in 1999, Robert De Niro was pushing to build a New York City soundstage at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, a project he lost to other developers who turned it into Steiner Studios, a mainstay of NYC production.

Years later, the venerable actor and co-founder of Tribeca Enterprises — who can be spotted around Manhattan these days as the Tribeca Festival unspools — is the founder of a sleek new waterfront edifice at the northwest tip of Astoria, Queens. Wildflower Studios is ready, running and set to pop this summer, said Adam Gordon, the site’s developer, managing partner and founder with De Niro and his son, Raphael De Niro.

Wildflower opened its doors last fall with the industry emerging from the long tail of Hollywood strikes and shaken by a slowdown in television production as media companies retrenched. Popular CBS series Elsbeth filmed its latest season there. Commercial shoots come and go.

Robert Zemeckis' 2007 animated film version of "Beowulf," based on the Old English poem, was one of the earlier films to make such extensive use of then-novel motion-capture CGI technology. Zemeckis seemed to feel that mo-cap was the future of filmmaking, and had previously used it to animate CGI versions of Tom Hanks in his 2004 Christmas film "The Polar Express." After "Beowulf," Zemeckis kept on experimenting, using it in his 2009 animated film "A Christmas Carol," and then again in his doll-based biopic "Welcome to Marwen." Zemeckis has, in the last 20 years, mostly stuck with unusual tech experiments that stretch what the medium of cinema can do. Some of his experiments are successful (the 3D in "The Walk" is some of the best ever) and some aren't ("Here" sucked), but one can at least admire him for trying to reach higher.

"Beowulf" wasn't entirely successful, despite its ambition. It tried to turn...

Hit Netflix show adds Enterprise and Prodigy actors to its already Star Trek-heavy cast
Image
Production is underway on season two of the Netflix hit comedy-mystery A Man on the Inside, and it will feature a pair of new co-stars who happen to be Star Trek veterans. Season one, which dropped in November of 2024, stars Ted Danson as Charles Nieuwendyk, a bored retiree who lands a job assisting a private detective attempting to track down a ruby necklace gone missing at a San Francisco retirement home. Season two will find Charles still working at the private detective agency and no doubt serving as the inside man again on a new case.

The actors from the Star Trek universe joining the cast of A Man on the Inside are Linda Park and Jason Mantzoukas. Park was a regular on Star Trek: Enterprise, portraying Ensign Hoshi Sato for all four seasons of the show’s run. Mantzoukas is an actor, comic, and podcaster who provided the voice of the Tellarite character,...

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tactical Takedown Review – Shell-Shredding Strategy Fun
Image
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tactical Takedown arrives from indie studio Strange Scaffold as a concise, grid-based tactics adventure. Set in a post-Splinter, post-Shredder New York City, the game casts each Turtle in a solo mission to thwart Karai’s Foot Clan resurgence. The six-hour campaign skips lengthy exposition, delivering its plot through brief text-box exchanges before and after each level.

At its heart, Tactical Takedown translates the punch-driven momentum of classics like Turtles in Time into a turn-based framework. Battles unfold on small, isometric boards that “mutate” as the ground disappears behind you, urging constant forward motion akin to an arcade brawler’s screen scroll.

Despite its tactical depth—think Xcom meets collectible miniatures—the game has the brisk pace and pick-up-and-play appeal of a Konami beat-’em-up. This marriage of board-game structure and high-octane flair defines the experience, making it both familiar to Tmnt veterans and inviting to newcomers.

Roman Holiday — The Hollywood Insider’s Guide to the Eternal City in the Age of Pope-Mania
Image
Hollywood’s spotlight has long shone brightly on Italy’s capital, from Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck’s Vespa joyride in Roman Holiday to last year’s Oscar-nominated Conclave. The latter film, about the political intrigue behind the selection of a new Pope, soared in popularity after the death last month of Pope Francis — and unexpectedly served as a useful primer for the election of his successor, the American born Pope Leo Xiv.

Between the rise of the 267th pontiff and the ongoing Jubilee festivities, the Eternal City is having a moment. All eyes are on Rome, especially with summer travel planning underway. “Traveling to Rome will be even more exceptional now,” says Jack Ezon, one of Hollywood’s go-to luxury travel curators and founder of Embark Beyond.

Snagging reservations and avoiding crowds requires the kind of tactical planning that travel agents to the A-list charge big money for. They...

Eurovision 2025: Austria Wins Song Contest With Johannes Pietsch, Israel Places Second

He beat Israeli entrant Raphael as she finished second with 357 points, while also winning the public vote section of the competition.

The top five in a competition voted on via a combination of national music industry juries and the global public included Estonia coming third with 356 points, Sweden with 321 points and Italy with 256 points.

Eurovision 2025: Stage Invasion During Israeli Yuval Raphael Performance Blocked
Image
Israeli Eurovision Song Contest contender Yuval Raphael faced a failed stage invasion during her performance at the Grand Final on Saturday night.

Swiss broadcaster Ssr, which hosts the telecast of the Eurovision competition, confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that a crew member was hit with paint after a man and a woman attempted to get over the barrier around the stage at the St. Jakobshalle arena in Basel, Switzerland.

“At the end of the Israeli performance, a man and a woman tried to get over a barrier onto the stage. They were stopped. One of the two agitators threw paint and a crew member was hit. The crew member is fine and nobody was injured. The man and the woman were taken out of the venue and handed over to the police,” the Swiss broadcaster said in a statement.

Paramount's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem 2 Gets Shell-Shocked To 2027
Image
Those eager for more adventures following the critically acclaimed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem will have to wait longer than expected.

Paramount Pictures revealed yesterday evening that the animated sequel's release has been significantly shifted, moving from its original October 2026 date to September 17, 2027.

This substantial delay reportedly arises from logistical hurdles faced by Paramount's international animation studios, the same teams responsible for the unique animation of the first film – Mikros Animation in Paris (Plankton: The Movie) and Cinesite in Montreal.

The post-credits sequence of Mutant Mayhem ignited excitement for the introduction of Shredder, as Cynthia Utrom sought his aid in defeating the brothers. A brief, evocative glimpse of his silhouette against the New York skyline promised a central villain narrative for the sequel.

The box office haul of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, directed by Jeff Rowe and written by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg (grossing $180.5 million...
