Their mission was to make it to the extraction point on time before midnight. The five famous faces were all eventually captured and faced interrogation, working to stick to their cover story. These special interrogators led by “The Umpire,” ...

The Fast & Furious movie franchise seems to grow bigger with every new installment, and that's no different when it comes to the soundtracks, as each entry boasts a few of the very best Fast and Furious songs. With over-the-top action sequences and big-budget action, the soundtracks grow with the movies, and even the songs of the Fast and Furious films team up superstars, just like the ever-expanding casts. The songs bring together several popular artists, especially in the hip-hop and pop genres.
Over time, some of these songs have gained an iconic status, such as the titular song in There Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, which has become more popular than the film itself. Ludacris's "Act a Fool" has so much energy and perfectly mirrors 2 Fast 2 Furious vibrant filmmaking. Then, of course, "See You Again" adds a significantly emotional touch to Furious 7. In Venom, Tom Hardy took on the role of Eddie Brock the man under the symbiote but who voices Venom in both Venom and Venom: Let There Be Carnage is a question that has haunted audiences. In both movies, reporter Eddie Brock hears the alien Venom's voice in his head. The bickering couple dynamic of Brock and his living alien skin-suit is a franchise mainstay, and a source of the quippy humor modern audiences have come to expect from superhero movies, and a key part of why audiences are excited about Venom: The Last Dance's release.
Tom Hardy's performance as Eddie Brock has been widely praised as a highlight of the Sony Spider-Man Movie Universe. The energy and vocal shenanigans Hardy became known for through roles like Bane in The Dark Knight Rises and Alfie Solomons in Peaky Blinders were on full display. In the days of Peak Letterman, an annual tradition was a trip to Dave’s house to see what the kids were wearing for Halloween that year. The costume jokes hold up remarkably well, as does Letterman’s ability to cast trick-or-treaters. In two different years, he managed to welcome pre-fame (and prepubescent) Lindsay Lohan and Macaulay Culkin.
First up in 1989, a not-yet Home Alone Culkin rang Letterman’s bell in search of some holiday candy. Culkin’s costume? He’s the piping-hot half of a McDlt, McDonalds’ ill-advised attempt at sandwich innovation.
“You want fries with that?” the kids ask Letterman, who declines. But he’s got something special for the trick-or-treaters: “Lovely shower caps.”
Five-year-old Lohan showed up a few years later in 1992. Her adorable outfit “is a favorite with New York City kids,” Letterman says. “This costume is Stuff Found on the Floor of the D Train.

I will describe him as I see him. He is a great, soft jelly thing. Smoothly rounded, with a huge mouth.
Ruben Fleischer's 2018 film "Venom" features a truly strange creature at its center. The film's main character is Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) a reporter from San Francisco who has fallen on hard times. Unexpectedly, he is attacked by a living blob of alien glop from beyond the stars, and the tar-like being seeps into his skin and occupies his body. The being, calling itself Venom, begins to communicate with Eddie psychically, encouraging him to hurt others and to generally be more reckless and daring. Occasionally, the glop seeps out from Eddie's body and wraps itself around his exterior, transforming them both into a slick, goo-skinned humanoid monster with massive puffy eyes and hundreds of razor-sharp teeth. In human form, Venom loves to bite off people's heads and eat them.

But it was only the beginning of a legendary career that continues well into his fifties. Albums like 1994’s Tical and 1999’s Blackout (with close friend Redman), as well as New York rap...

The episode of Wtf Happened to This Horror Movie? covering Seed of Chucky was Written and Edited by Jaime Vasquez, Narrated by Tyler Nichols, Produced by Andrew Hatfield and John Fallon, and Executive Produced by Berge Garabedian.
Along with most Horror franchises that skyrocketed in the ’80s, Child’s Play had plummeted by the mid ’90s. But in 1996, Scream became a pivotal moment for the genre. Wes Craven’s self-referential slasher helped revive mainstream interest in Horror. And it gave birth to a new wave of slashers that featured characters with smarter dialogue, who made less stupid decisions (for the most part), and delivered the all-important meta humor. That wave included a bride, mostly dressed in black leather. Bride of Chucky checked all the boxes of the updated slasher formula, especially when it came to the satire. In the opening scene of Bride, you can see Freddy’s glove, Leatherface’s chainsaw,...

Warning: Contains spoilers for ‘Rogue’
This first series of Doctor Who’s latest reboot has been a lot of things — silly (‘Space Babies’), spectacular (‘The Devil’s Chord’), intense (‘Boom’), scary (‘73 Yards’), and, by the end of last week’s Black Mirror aping ‘Dot And Bubble’, pretty damn bleak even too. But not since Ncuti Gatwa and Millie Gibson’s first outing as the Doctor and Ruby Sunday, ‘The Church On Ruby Road’, have we had an episode as outrageously fun Regency-era romp ‘Rogue’. Poured from the pens of guest writers Kate Herron and Briony Redman, this week’s adventure is good old-fashioned monster-of-the-week Who with a deliciously queer twist.
Leaving Finetime well behind, ‘Rogue’ finds the Doctor and Ruby in early 19th-century Bath, enjoying a ball at the stately mansion home of the Duchess of Pemberton (a suitably hissable Indira Varma). All britches, bodices, “You cad!” admonishments, and anachronistic...

The Roots Picnic, held yearly in Philadelphia since 2008, is a special kind of music festival. The lineup this year covered a wide spectrum of hip-hop and R&b, plus country, go-go, and more, with the Roots’ own omnivorous musicality as the guiding force. Daily crowds of 30,000 made the pilgrimage to Fairmount Park to soak up the sun and sounds on June 1 and 2. There were surprise guests (Ghostface! Common! Freeway! Lloyd! Musiq Soulchild!), outstanding collaborations, a couple of disappointing no-shows (Cam’Ron, you were missed), and tons more performances across three stages.

Margot Robbie's new project involves producing a big-screen adaptation for The Sims video game series. Robbie and LuckyChap Entertainment are behind the movie, with Kate Herron and Briony Redman writing the screenplay. Similar to how Barbie's success was doubted before becoming popular, The Sims movie has the potential to impress with its fresh take.
Margot Robbie is set to produce a new big-screen adaptation of a famous video game series, and it might just be the star's next big hit. 2023 proved to be a good year for Robbie, following the incredible box-office success that was Barbie. Now, it appears, Robbie is turning her attention toward a film version of a best-selling video game series, and it might just be the adaptation we didn't know we needed.
Not only has Robbie continued to star in some highly-rated movies, but in recent years, she has taken on increasingly more active roles behind the scenes.

Throughout horror genre history, there have been numerous examples of characters crossing over into one another's universes, continuity, and canon. It's often the case that an anime series end without a particularly conclusive ending. Sometimes it's for a simple reason, such as setting up for a new season or simply waiting for more of the source material to adapt. There are also times when this happens because of unplanned and unexpected reasons, such as studio issues. The worst, however, has to be when an anime ends on an unresolved cliffhanger.
In a best-case scenario, the anime was partly meant as promotional material for the series' source material – typically a manga, light novel, or visual novel – which will answer whatever questions fans are left with. In the worst case, the audience is just left to question and guess what could possibly happen next.
Stars Align
Stars Align is an original sports anime that suffers from unresolved drama. It begins with a simple premise, following a high school club under threat of disbandment due to unsatisfactory performance.

Slasher films are known for their one-liners, both the badass and the embarrassing. Dr. Loomis in the "Halloween" series, Freddy Krueger in the "A Nightmare on Elm Street" series, Ghostface in the numerous "Scream" flicks, Pinhead in the "Hellraiser" films, and just about everything Chucky has ever said throughout his franchise have all birthed quotes as memorable as the characters who say them. In the delightfully silly "Freddy vs Jason," one of the most infamous lines is not spoken by either slasher icon or even the film's final girl, but by the secondary character Kia, played by Kelly Rowland of Destiny's Child.
When Kia comes face to face with Freddy Krueger, she doesn't cower in fear -- she mocks him. Freddy Krueger thrives on fear, and by choosing to humiliate him instead, she defangs him quite a bit. She spends much of the movie being mouthy to everyone anyway, so...
