Actor William Daniels is opening up about being the victim of child abuse.
The two-time Emmy winner -- best known for playing kindhearted teacher Mr. Feeny on the '90s sitcom Boy Meets World and brilliant surgeon Dr. Mark Craig on the '80s medical drama St. Elsewhere -- writes in his new memoir that he didn't realize he'd suffered from child abuse until he was an adult.
According to the 89-year-old actor, he was forced into becoming a child actor by his mother, who pushed him into auditioning for roles at a very young age, and was made to sing, dance and act alongside his sisters, Jacqueline and Carol, for hours on end without having any say in the matter.

“Boy Meets World” actor William Daniels has published a new memoir in which he shares that he was abused as a child actor — something he only realized years later. In his book, “There I Go Again: How I Came to Be Mr. Feeny, John Adams, Dr. Craig, Kitt & Many Others,” he discussed how his mother dragged him to auditions at a very young age and forced him to dance, sing and perform on stage. Sometimes, he would work crazy morning hours and on weekends, while children received very little pay. Daniels, now 89, was a child performer during the...

Although William Daniels played arguably the most beloved character on Boy Meets World, the longtime actor almost didn’t star in the dramedy.
In his new memoir There I Go Again: How I Came to Be Mr. Feeny, John Adams, Dr. Craig, Kitt, & Many Others, Daniels explains his initial hesitation about taking on the role — and what finally convinced him to portray the iconic high school teacher-turned-principal.
“At a meeting with the show’s author and executive producer, Michael Jacobs, already an established playwright and sitcom creator, as well as movie producer, I told him I didn’t want to...

It was a move Eden Hoelscher had done hundreds of times before. But when the 5-year-old girl of Palos Verdes, Calif., performed a backbend in her living room on the morning of Dec. 23, 2015, something went horribly wrong. "She was on the floor as if she had collapsed in a backbend position, her body was really awkward and she was crying and crying and said, 'My hips hurt, my legs hurt and my back hurts,' " Eden's mother, Kylee Hoelscher, tells People. "Then her face just changed and she stopped crying and said, 'Mom, my feet and legs are sleeping.' " In an instant,...

Josh Taylor, a reporter for Sarasota ABC affiliate Wwsb, got more than he bargained for when investigating a possible rental property scam in Florida Saturday: He got carjacked. Taylor was covering a dispute in which a Venice, Fla., woman claimed a rental property had been advertised as an 11-bedroom home, but had only five bedrooms due to some building code violations. Taylor made it to the home in question and began setting up his camera, but was accosted by a woman later identified as Jean Price. The home's owner, local chiropractor Dr. Craig Siegal, said Price used to work for him,...

Lucas Lands Music Video Director Job
British funnyman Matt Lucas has offered up his directing skills for singing duo The Proclaimers' new video.
The I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles) hitmakers - twins Charlie and Craig Reid - have been friends with the Little Britain star for years, and were happy for Lucas to oversee the promo for new single Spinning Around In The Air.
But the singers are worried because Lucas - famed for his outlandish characters - wants them to dress up as women for the shoot.
Lucas tells Scotland's Sunday Mail, "I've been a massive fan of the Proclaimers since I was a kid. I got to know them years ago...
"They asked me to be in the video and I offered my services as a director. I've written this idea of a Golden Wedding party with Craig and Charlie playing these two old women who make a very heady punch.
"Basically it ends with all these pensioners getting arrested because they are completely off their heads. I think they are a bit nervous about getting dressed up but I thought if I am working with the Proclaimers, I will have to put them in drag."...

Decoy

Film noir is film noir because of a variety of recognized qualities which concern both visuals cues as well as some specific narrative aspects, including stereotypical character traits. It stands to reason that that is how the genre, or any other genre for that matter, is recognized. However, there are some examples of films that, by the very fact that they follow the standards of the genre, somehow manage to create their own special uniqueness. It might be because said movie exemplifies those characteristics particularly well. Other examples prove to be more challenging to evaluate as to what makes them special. The reasons may be more difficult to flesh out simply because one is uncertain as to whether or not the picture is actually good. Watching Jack Berhard’s Decoy in preparation for...

There were a handful of things we could have celebrated this morning. After all, today is the birthday of Charlie and Craig Reid (better known as the Proclaimers, who scored one of the biggest one hit wonders of all time with "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)"). Former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante will also be blowing out candles today, as he turns 40 years old (hopefully he celebrates with a little "Californication"). But just as we did last week, today we celebrate Michael Jackson's ascent to superstardom.
On this day in 1983, "Billie Jean" found itself at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time. The second single from Thriller bounded over Patti Austin and James Ingram's "Baby, Come to Me" to take the top spot, where it stayed for seven weeks before being ousted by (of all things) "Come on Eileen" by Dexys Midnight Runners. One week later,...
