Keke Palmer's 10 Best Movies, Ranked
Image
Keke Palmers best roles include some fine distinctions in genre which have taken her from Disney Channel to one of Jordan Peeles best movies. Her fans might identify some common themes throughout her career, but each one of her performances stands out as something unique. She can play a peppy schoolgirl who is a perfect team player or a tough-as-nails young woman who works best alone. Palmer has delivered in movies that are thrilling, shocking, and enlightening, working with some of the best in the industry.

Palmer also has amazing vocals and some voice-acting talent, allowing her to explore more subgenres. She is also widely known for some TV roles, namely Zayday Williams from Scream Queens. Furthermore, when her most recent movie is her best, her career holds more potential still in the future. Maybe she will appear in the currently untitled fourth Jordan Peele movie, or her fame will...

*full disclosure: a screener of this film was provided by Phase 4 Films.

**here be spoilers.

Scary or Die is a horror anthology from Bob Badway, Michael Emanuel and Igor Meglic. Badway is known for his other horror outing titled The Uninvited. Emanuel might be known for 2009's Maneater, but he is likely best known for his many acting roles. This is Meglic's first go as director. There are five stories within Scary or Die, with Emanuel directing the bulk of them ("Clowned," "Lover Comes Back," "The Crossing"). Meglic produced one, titled "Taejung's Lament." The worst story of the bunch, "Re-membered," is not attached to any director.

'Scary or Die' Anthology will Eat your Flesh in May
By Seth Metoyer, MoreHorror.com

I can't help it, I'm a sucker for intriguing key art that coincides with a horror film (or any movie for that matter). Many films have been overlooked simply because the graphic art totally sucks. This is not one of those cases (as you can see by the creepy poster we've got for you to feast your eyes on).

On May 1st, Phase 4 Films will reportedly be unleashing a flesh eating clown among other scary visuals, as the release of Scary or Die hits VOD.

Scary or Die stars horror genre actor Bill Oberst Jr. (Abraham Lincoln vs Zombies, Dismal, Scare Tactics), Corbin Bleu (Galaxy Quest), and Nikki Moore (Sorority Row), and is directed by Bob Badway, Michael Emanuel, and Igor Meglic.

Check out the teaser trailer below the official details below as well as the large version of the Scary Or Die poster.

Exclusive Early Details on Indie Anthology Terror Bytes
Writer/producer/director Michael Emanuel dropped us a line today to let us know production has wrapped on the upcoming horror omnibus thriller titled Terror Bytes. High School Musical's Corbin Bleu is co-producing and appears in one of the film's segments, marking the star's first foray into the horror genre.

Synopsis:

With Korean vampires, Mexican zombies, Cajun conjurers, and the Irish undead...or as the producers like to call it, “just another night in the City of Angels”, Terror Bytes tells four multi-ethnic, interwoven stories that all take place in and around Los Angeles. According to Emanuel, “It’s the horror version of Robert Altman’s Short Cuts as characters from each segment intersect with the others.”

Corbin Bleu’s segment, titled "Clowned", tells the story of a young street hustler (Bleu) who gets bitten by a clown at a birthday party and begins to undergo a Kafkaesque metamorphosis with horrifying consequences.

Disney Channel is using music and the Internet to draw viewers to its original film Jump In! before it hits the television screen.

Beginning today, viewers can listen to the movie's 13 songs online for two weeks and before the film's Jan. 12 premiere. Additionally, those who log on to www.DisneyChannel.com/JumpIn will find Web-exclusive games, photos and behind-the-scenes video surrounding the movie's launch.

"This is part of our overall strategy of getting kids excited through music and getting them to feel a part of the movie before it airs," said Mindy Stockfield, vp digital media at Disney Channel and Jetix.

The movie, which stars Corbin Bleu (High School Musical) and Keke Palmer (Akeelah and the Bee), centers on Izzy (Bleu), a boxer who wants to win the Golden Gloves like his dad until he discovers his true passion is a Double Dutch competition, which integrates fast jump rope combinations with gymnastics and dance moves.

Other special features on the Web page include a behind-the scenes interview with Bleu and his real-life father, David Reivers, who also stars in the movie, and a contest to win a trip to New York to spend a day with Bleu.
