Exclusive: The following program will contain graphic stupidity, as four friends compete to embarrass one another – only this time in Lithuania.
Impractical Jokers is being remade for Lithuania’s TV3 as a 24-episode, half-hour series – a deal we can reveal as Eastern European content event Nem kicks off today in Dubrovnik, Croatia.
Production will begin later this year after TV3 closed a deal with format seller Warner Bros International Television Production. Reema Patel, Director of Formats at Wbitvp, brokered the agreement.
The hidden-camera prank shows sees four friends seek to embarrass one another through a series of outrageous dares, which could be anything from eating food from someone’s plate to deliberately making a bad impression at a speed-dating event. The least successful team members in each episode endures a final punishment.
The original TruTV series, created by comedy troupe The Tenderloins, has run to 11 seasons and more than 300 episodes,...

[This story contains major spoilers from the season two finale of 1923, “A Dream and a Memory.”]
No one deserved justice more than 1923’s Teonna Rainwater. And in the end, justice was on her side when, after surviving her harrowing two-season saga on the Taylor Sheridan Yellowstone prequel series, viewers are left watching the Native teenager literally ride off into the sunset in the season two finale.
It’s not easy to recap everything that Teonna has been through. After escaping the abusive clutches of an Indian assimilation boarding school in season one, Teonna, who is of Crow descent, was hunted by the headmaster, Father Renaud (Sebastian Roché), for the majority of season two. The deadly penultimate episode of this season saw Renaud and his partner (Jamie McShane) murdering both the love of Teonna’s life, Pete Plenty Clouds (Jeremy Gauna), and her father, Runs His Horse (Michael Spears), adding to the lengthy list of people Teonna has lost while fighting for her freedom.

This post contains spoilers from the 1923 season 2 finale below.
As the saying goes, all good things must come to an end. And sadly, 1923 has come to an end. While it may be over, the history of the show is engrained deep in western-drama television. The Dutton family has been one of the most popular families in the last decade. Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford have given fans such an experience with their legendary acting and awe-inspiring chemistry.
The seventh episode of season 2 premiered as a mini movie much like how Yellowstone’s series finale came to an end. For months, fans have been asking in frustration, "When are Alexandra (Julia Schlaepfer) and Spencer (Brandon Sklenar) going to reunite?' Not only was that reunion pivotal, but so was the reunion with Cara Dutton (Helen Mirren) and Jacob Dutton (Harrison Ford) with the future of the Dutton's legacy. And will Teonna survive and find peace somehow?...

Season two, episode seven — the second-season finale of Paramount+’s 1923 — delivered the answers it needed to, including one that has lingered since the first season of Yellowstone: Who is the grandfather of John Dutton III, played by Kevin Costner? The extended season two finale was brutal and bloody, and not everyone survived. It was also heart-wrenching and, in a way, heartwarming. (Keeping it vague here for those who accidentally start reading this recap before watching the finale.)
The ending leaves the possibility of a third season open, so don’t lose hope that Taylor Sheridan isn’t finished with Spencer’s story. Now, let’s move on to the lengthy recap, which begins by wrapping up Teonna’s storyline for the season.

1923 Season 2, Episode 7, titled “A Dream and a Memory,” puts a red bow—likely a bloody one—on another Yellowstone chapter from Taylor Sheridan. The episode plays like a nearly sweeping two-hour film, answering all your questions. Some of your favorite characters will survive, others will die. And as Cara says, life goes on.

Three stars of the Yellowstone prequel 1923 appearing at Deadline Contenders Television on Saturday stayed mum on the details of the two-hour finale that airs Sunday and could well mark the end of the hit series. But actor Brandon Sklenar, who plays Spencer Dutton, promised that viewers will finish Season 2 in tears, saying, “It’s funny how much you’re gonna cry.”
“That finale hits very, very hard,” Sklenar said at a panel discussion with co-stars Julia Schlaepfer and Aminah Nieves.
In creator Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone prequel on Paramount+, husband and wife Jacob and Cara Dutton (Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren) fight to protect their sprawling Montana ranch from cattle thieves, a predatory land baron (Timothy Dalton) and an untamed, unpredictable wilderness. General Hospital spoilers and updates reveal alum Sebastian Roché, who played Jerry Jacks, recently made his exit from “1923”. The character he played on that show, a Catholic priest named Father Renaud, was recently killed off.
A Much Loved Villain’s Demise
Everyone has a fascination with villains, and in the series 1923, French-American actor Sebastian Roché excels in this role. He portrays Father Renaud, a Catholic priest whose main goal is to convert others to his interpretation of faith.
To achieve this, he inflicts pain on children, including Teoona Rainwater (Aminah Nieves), who ultimately rebels and kills several nuns. In a quest for revenge,
Father Renaud embarks on a journey across the country to track her down and avenge the loss of the women he cared for. After months of searching, he finally confronts her, only to meet his demise moments later.

1923 never held back on the heartbreak, but one scene in Season 2 hit way too close to home. Taylor Sheridan already has a reputation for such moments — we even dub his work a “Red Wedding” factory. But this time, reality bled into fiction in a way we really didn’t see coming. A real-life tragedy shadowed a pivotal scene.
Sheridan’s signature storytelling is torturous enough, but knowing the emotions behind this moment were 100% real? That took it to another level. We braced for drama, but what we got was something far more personal.

1923 just gave us another emotional shocker, but this time, the heartbreak was excruciatingly real. In the Sunday, March 30 episode, Pete Plenty Clouds met a tragic fate, just months after the real-life loss of Cole Brings Plenty, the actor who originally played him.

Seriously, 1923, what are we even doing here? Six episodes of blood, sweat, and emotional torment, and for what? Just to watch another top-tier character bite the dust? This is Taylor Sheridan’s go-to move at this point – build up someone incredible, make us care, then rip them away like it’s his personal sport. And this time, it makes no damn sense. None. Zilch. Nada.
After all the pain and struggle, you’d think survival would count for something. But hell nah, Sheridan’s out here playing Grim Reaper again, and frankly speaking, it is so exhausting. If this is the pattern, should we even get attached anymore?

[This story contains major spoilers from the penultimate episode of 1923 season two, “The Mountain Teeth of Monsters.”]
“The darkness cannot hide from the light. And I am the light.”
Those are the words spoken by Father Renaud (Sebastian Roché) when the priest finally stands before protagonist Teonna Rainwater (Aminah Nieves) with a gun to her head in the penultimate episode of 1923 season two.
Since season one, Father Renaud has been hunting Teonna, the Native girl who escaped his Indian assimilation boarding school and left murdered nuns (including Jennifer Ehle) in her wake. He spent the majority of this season tracking Teonna on horseback alongside Marshall Kent (Jamie McShane). When he finally finds her, thanks to a lit fire — after killing Kent over the murder of Teonna’s love, Pete Plenty Clouds (Jeremy Gauna) — Renaud shoots Teonna’s father, Runs His Horse (Michael Spears), and demands Teonna repent for her sins before he kills her, too.
But even in what she believes to be her final moment, Teonna will not relent.

'1923's Jeremy Gauna Reveals How Cole Brings Plenty's Death Impacted Season 2's Most Shocking Deaths
1923 was dealt a huge blow when Season 1 cast member Cole Brings Plenty passed away in 2024. He played Pete Plenty Clouds in the Yellowstone origin story series, and the character was set to return in Season 2. Following Brings Plenty's death, the role was recast, with Jeremy Gauna taking over. In the Sunday, March 30 episode of 1923, several characters, including Pete Plenty Clouds, were killed off. Gauna admitted to The Hollywood Reporter that filming Pete's death brought up complicated feelings given Brings Plenty's untimely death. "It was very difficult, especially with everything that happened in real life to Cole," he said in an interview. "Cole had so much expectations with the character. He had so much joy knowing that he was getting to be a part of six episodes, and that was taken away from him abruptly," he continued, reflecting on how Cole's death robbed the young actor of his potential. Gauna discussed...

What can possibly come after this?
1923 Season 2 Episode 6 wiped out seven characters and left another without much hope of survival. I fear that Taylor Sheridan has no happy endings in store for the Duttons, no matter when or where they live.
Watching a TV show can alter your mood. I’ve been carrying around this sense of grief for two weeks now, and I’m not even sure how to unpack it.
(Trae Patton/Paramount+)
The good news is that you’re all here beside me now. We can grieve together. And although it makes no sense whatsoever for me that Alex could possibly survive, the description for 1923 Season 2 Episode 7 suggests that she “braves the cold.”
If Paul could barely get 15 feet in the blistering cold, I don’t see how a pregnant woman stands a chance amidst snow drifts and miles of barren land.

The following contains spoilers for 1923Season 2, Episode 6 "The Mountain Teeth of Monsters," which is now streaming on Paramount+.
1923 is drawing to a close, and thankfully, the show is finally moving all of its characters together, even if there are still a few more bumps in the road. Episode 6 takes a step back from Spencer Dutton and hones in on the battle in Montana. As word of Spencer's arrival gets out to others, the war between Jacob and Banner will come to a head. With more screen time for Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren, this episode flourishes from a performance standpoint. In addition, it does a wonderful job of creating tension and stakes for the explosive finale that is likely to come. Yet, surprisingly, the antagonists are less interesting than ever,...

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for 1923 Season 2 Episode 6, “The Mountain Teeth of Monsters.”] 1923 Season 2 killed off seven characters (and a horse) in its penultimate episode. Their deaths will reverberate throughout the Episode 7 finale, a nearly two-hour episode that comes out next Sunday, April 6, on Paramount+. In the absence of a renewal, these could be the final episodes of 1923 ever. Whether this is the final season or not, Season 2 is going out with a brutal bang. Every plot line, except Spencer’s (Brandon Sklenar) train ride home, had major deaths in this episode. The Duttons lost another family member in their fight against Donald Whitfield (Timothy Dalton). Teonna Rainwater’s (Aminah Nieves) story with Father Renaud (Sebastian Roché) reached its climax. And Alexandra (Julia Schlaepfer) caught a lucky break on her journey west that ended in devastation. The English couple that saved Alex from arrest in Episode 5, Paul (Augustus Prew) and Hillary (Janet Montgomery), drove the pregnant Alex from Winnetka, ...

It would seem that Taylor Sheridan and everyone involved in making 1923 is done with giving us glimmers of hope. Because after last week’s episode ended on a (for this show) lighter note, putting Spencer on a train that might bring him home to Montana, that trajectory — much like the train! — stops dead in its tracks in Sunday’s hour.
And then it backs up and runs over two characters, leaving us to grieve their lifeless bodies. Next week’s finale is going to Hurt, isn’t it?

[This story contains major spoilers from the penultimate episode of 1923 season two, “The Mountain Teeth of Monsters.”]
The penultimate season two episode of 1923 delivered death after death. A whopping seven bodies were left in wake of the sixth episode from creator Taylor Sheridan, titled “The Mountain Teeth of Monsters.” Everything that happened will barrel the Western saga into what is sure to be a propulsive season finale, but let’s stop for a moment and mourn what was lost.
Michael Spears has been playing Runs His Horse for two seasons on the Yellowstone prequel series, with Jeremy Gauna inheriting his role as Pete Plenty Clouds after the untimely death of original star Cole Brings Plenty. Cole died about two months after the season one finale released. (A cause of death was not revealed.) Cole was the nephew of Mo Brings Plenty, the American Indian affairs coordinator on both 1923 and Yellowstone, playing Mo, the right-hand man to Chief Thomas Rainwater (played by Gil Birmingham), who is a future...

Spoiler Alert! This story contains details from the sixth and penultimate Season 2 episode of 1923 on Paramount+.
Taylor Sheridan certainly has a reputation of killing off characters to help juice his stories but did his Yellowstone prequel really need this kind of kick in the butt?
In the penultimate episode of 1923 titled “The Mountain Teeth of Monsters,” not one but seven characters meet their demise. For most viewers, at least two of the killings should have been welcome.
As for the other deaths, which include the couple that froze to death while trying to get Julia Schlaepfer’s Alex to Montana, the poor saps didn’t know what hit ’em.

1923 Season 2, Episode 6, titled “The Mountain Teeth of Monsters,” is an episode that focuses on the main stars, Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren. However, it also features the series’ best storyline and performance from Aminah Nieves, who plays Teonna Rainwater. This is a ruthless episode that grabs you from the beginning.
We immediately discover what happened in the last episode, “Only Gunshots to Guide Us.” The sheriff informs Jacob and Cara that Spencer is on his way home. Banner tells Whitfield that the former big-game hunter is en route. Additionally, we learn that U.S. Marshal Kent does kill Runs His Horse. Oh boy, that’s a lot of corpses. I think it would have been better if the sixth episode of the 1923 season 2 was titled “The Killing Season,” on account of how a hell of a lot of people died in this one. Though, I am sure many of us already saw that coming. It’s like what Jacob Dutton had said earlier in the season, that the war would begin as soon as the winter ended. So here we were, looking at around five to six dead bodies showing up in a single episode, and yes, there’s more to follow in the season 2 finale.
Spoiler Alert

Episode 6 of the second season of 1923 is the most shocking and upsetting so far. Things looked better for several of the characters in Episode 5 (although not everyone), but the latest episode of 1923 — ominously called "The Mountain Teeth of Monsters" — undoes any notions of life taking a more positive swing.
As 1923 has progressed during Season 2, the focus has been on the harshness of man and winter alike. Spring begins to appear in Episode 6, but its arrival brings violence and bloodshed instead of any fresh signs of life. No fewer than seven people die in "The Mountain Teeth of Monsters," and as the death toll mounts, it's hard not to think about just how many more people will die by season's end.
"The Mountain Teeth of Monsters" emphasizes loss and all its components while proving that no one is safe. Here's what happened and who managed to survive.

This article contains spoilers for "1923" season 2, episode 5, "Only Gunshots to Guide Us."
Taylor Sheridan's "1923" season 2 fixes one of the biggest mistakes on "Yellowstone" by actually giving its Native American characters meaningful storylines. While "Yellowstone" touches upon the displacement of tribes in the United States, the lack of meaningful arcs for Thomas Rainwater (Gil Birmingham) and other Indigenous characters leaves a lot to be desired in terms of getting the point across. "1923," meanwhile, boasts an emotional storyline about Thomas' ancestor, Teonna Rainwater (Aminah Nieves), and her quest for freedom after going on the run for killing some abusive nuns who had it coming.
Unfortunately, intriguing sagas aren't always happy, as Teonna's boyfriend, Pete Brings Plenty (Jeremy Gauna), might be dead following the events of "1923" season 2, episode 5. The manhunt for Teonna, led by the sadistic Marshal Kent (Jamie McShane), has produced some of the darkest moments in...

While Teonna is on the verge of capture, Alexandra Dutton is going through hell on wheels in the train car. How much more can this young woman endure before she gets to Big Sky? Spencer may be inching closer to his homeland, and by inching I mean just that. Trouble comes for this boy at every turn and this episode rings no different. The saga of Alex and Spencer’s journey towards each other and home in 1923 better have the biggest payoff of all time. Father Renaud is panicking as cowboys run a herd of cattle through town. He’s pressed against a door to keep himself safe.
He’s on the way to the Cattlemen’s Club, a saloon and steakhouse, to peer into the windows. The nasty marshal is talking with Anders (C. Thomas Howell has a name!) inside about Teonna.
(Lauren Smith/Paramount+)
The marshal is waxing poetic about the lack of evolution the Native Americans have chosen, calling Teonna a bridge between the two worlds. She decided to remain an animal, lusting for the kill, and like the wolf, must be erased from this planet.
Anders hasn’t seen her, despite what the cowboy who rode with him said. Now, the cowboy changes his tune.

Spencer finally caught a break on 1923 Season 2 Episode 5, but nobody else was as fortunate.
Is this the first episode all season where we haven’t had a single scene from the Yellowstone ranch?
It was an awkward hour that didn’t do much other than remind us that Taylor Sheridan’s version of America is built on misery, and not much else.

There were only three story elements for “Only Gunshots to Guide Us,” and it was one of the few times that I couldn’t peg the title reference.
The entire hour settled on Alex and Spencer’s separate journeys through America, along with the seemingly never-ending and pointless hunt for Teonna.

Episode 5 of the second season of 1923 offers the hope of winter's end but, as the title indicates, "Only Gunshots to Guide Us," spring will arrive with a bang. As Father Renaud (Sebastian Roche) and Marshal Kent (Jamie McShane) continue to hunt for Teonna Rainwater (Aminah Nieves), Pete Plenty Clouds (Jeremy Gauna), and Runs His Horse (Michael Spears), both Alexandra (Julie Schlaepfer) and Spencer (Brandon Sklenar) remain on arduous journeys to reunite.
After Episode 4, Alexandra seemed to be in a better position than Spencer, but it quickly becomes clear in the latest episode that the opposite is true. There's no real information about the Duttons in Montana in "Only Guns to Guide Us," but with Spencer getting closer to home, war appears imminent.
The plight of women during the early 20th century and how it manifests itself in different settings is evident, as is the ever-present class divide, in episode 5 of 1923's second season.

In a nutshell, the fifth episode of season 2 of 1923 can be described as everyone going somewhere but still not having got there. I know that sounds like what’s been happening the past few episodes, where all we have seen so far is Teonna and her company running away from Marshal Kent, Spencer running towards Montana, and Alex running all over America to reach the father of her child. At this moment, I am not sure how long they’ll just keep “running.” Looking at the “fantastic” pace of this season, I guess it wouldn’t be wrong to assume that we can only expect a final showdown between Whitfield, Banner, and Spencer somewhere in the seventh and eighth episodes. Nevertheless, back to the recap of this episode, Teonna, Alex, and Spencer have just gotten into some more trouble on their respective journeys, so without any further ado, let’s...

1923 Season 2, Episode 5, titled “Only Gunshots to Guide Us,” is a Brandon Sklenar and Julia Schlaepfer episode, in which they play Spencer and Alexandra, respectively. The chapter continues to depict their struggle—like a dream where you try to reach your destination, but it never ends. The writing is designed to highlight the depth of their love.
In this episode, Taylor Sheridan delves deeper into character development and places them in harm’s way. Surprisingly, after heavy focus on these stars in previous weeks, the episode does not include contributions from Harrison Ford’s Jacob or Helen Mirren’s Cara. At least we get a break from Elizabeth (Landman’s Michelle Randolph) encountering a wolf, a mountain lion, and, I imagine, a giant moose in the coming weeks.

Besides this 4th movie, Despicable Me 3 and Minions have also occupied spots in the top five of the weekly top 10 global list. However, it got beaten by Venom: The Last Dance, probably because it started streaming a few days after the Sony movie. The 2024 animated movie features the voices of Steve Carell, Kristen Wiig, Pierre Coffin, Joey King, Miranda Cosgrove, Stephen Colbert, Sofía Vergara, Steve Coogan, Renaud, Madison Polan, Dana Gaier, Chloe Fineman, and Will Ferrell.

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for 1923 Season 2 Episode 2, “The Rapist Is Winter.”] Dexter star Jennifer Carpenter made her 1923 debut in Season 2 Episode 2, streaming on Paramount+ as of Sunday, March 2. She plays Mamie Fossett, based on the real-life U.S. Marshal of the same name from this era. As one of the first female U.S. Marshals in history, Fossett was a trailblazing figure. Carpenter and 1923‘s take on the historical figure is a fiery but calm presence with an unclouded vision of justice. She had no issue shutting down the sexist (and murderous and racist and generally awful…) Marshal Kent (Jamie McShane) in her debut scene, in which Kent and Father Renaud (Sebastian Roché) were in Texas asking for help in their hunt for Teonna Rainwater (Aminah Nieves). “You patrol this territory, serving warrants, making arrests, why do I find that hard to believe?” Kent asked Mamie in the episode. “Because you’re a bigot,” she replied without missing ...

Taylor Sheridan's "Yellowstone" franchise -- which currently includes the titular series, "1883," and "1923" -- follows the Dutton family across the span of centuries. Each show boasts its own distinct flavor, but they all share similar themes and hallmarks, such as the displacement of Native Americans, capitalism endangering the natural purity of the American West, and the importance of family. "1923" also repurposes some controversial "Yellowstone" moments, although the prequel series is darker and takes place during unenlightened times, which becomes evident in Season 2, Episode 2.

"1923" also repurposes some controversial "Yellowstone" moments, although the prequel series is darker and takes place during unenlightened times, which becomes evident in Season 2, Episode 2.
"1923" Season 1 chronicles the abuse faced by Native Americans in ultra-religious boarding schools, resulting in Teonna Rainwater (Aminah Nieves) killing two sadistic nuns and going on the run. With Season 2 now underway, Teonna now finds herself being pursued by Father Renaud (Sebastian Roché) and the ruthless Marshal Kent (Jamie McShane), who've found themselves in Anadarko,...

Donald Whitfield is an awful man. He wonders why Banner isn’t using the house in town, but Banner doesn’t trust town.
Whitfield makes fun of Banner for caring for his flock, only for them to have fallen due to “flukes,” aka worms. Livestock is for peasants, and Banner is no peasant.
The Norwegian miners are skiing on the side of the mountain. Donald has vision.
The Sheriff and Jacob meet with, Roy, a judge, to discuss Zane’s plight. Roy just says his wife is guilty, plain and simple.
The guy calls Zane’s family mongrels and worries about all of the state expenses. Jacob says he’ll remit them all to his custody — the whole bunch — the flapper, the mongrels, and the invalid.
The guy calls Zane’s home a “flophouse.”
Zane and his wife can’t be seen in public together lest they face jail time.

I ran a 5K in realfeel 12-degree weather this morning and thought I knew cold… until I watched this week’s 1923.
The blizzard Jake and Cara knew was coming arrives in Episode 2, and, well, there’s a reason the episode is called “The Rapist Is Winter:” By the end of the hours, several characters are totally effed.

Jennifer Carpenter made her brief introduction this week on 1923.
The second season of Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone prequel series picked up where it left off with Teonna Rainwater (Aminah Nieves), the Native girl who escaped the assimilation school where she was being abused in North Dakota — killing several nuns along the way — and who is now wanted by the head priest (Sebastian Roché) and a marshal (Jamie McShane) traveling with him on horseback to find her.
When Father Renaud (Roché) and Marshal Kent (McShane) trace Teonna to Anadarko, Oklahoma, they meet with the marshal in charge and are taken aback to see that it’s a woman. It’s there they are greeted by Mamie Fossett, played by 1923 new cast member Jennifer Carpenter in the early 20th century-set series.
When Kent questions her ability to serve the badge because she’s a woman, she promptly shuts him down. “You patrol this territory,...

Taylor Sheridan crafts stories that unfold in a single hour of ruthless, unforgiving television. Case in point: 1923’s Season 2, Episode 2, titled “The Rapist is Winter,” is as cold as a frigid Montana night. This thrilling and visually evocative episode lingers long after it ends.
The second chapter of 1923‘s sophomore season continues the storylines of Whitfield’s (Timothy Dalton) vision for the Duttons’ land. While driving through snowy roads with Banner Creighton (Jerome Flynn), he spots men strangely gliding down the steep white powder hills.
When they approach, they are Norwegians, and Banner permits them to do what they call “skiing” down the hills. Whitfield asks several questions, including whether children can learn this. He continually tells Banner he needs vision, indicating he wants to make Yellowstone a family vacation spot.

I guess the second episode of 1923 season 2 is a testament to the fact that Jake Dutton will never leave his pack behind, no matter what happens. He treats his men like family, and obviously it is one of the many things that separates Jake from the likes of Donald Whitfield. Well, the mining mogul does help his people, just like he backed Banner Creighton when he needed some financial support against his enemies, but Whitfield’s favors come at a price, and that’s what gets Banner thinking in this episode. He knows that Whitfield can see the greed in his eyes and won’t hesitate to exploit his weakness to serve his interests. He’s an evil whose very presence will corrupt everything people cherish. And the way he’s insulting Banner every now and then only suggests that Banner will part ways with him or end up betraying the man,...

The hit Western series 1923, a prequel to Yellowstone, takes viewers over a century into the past, exploring the harsh realities of that era. One of the key themes of the show is racism, particularly the treatment of Indigenous people, which is portrayed through historically accurate storylines.
At the Los Angeles premiere for 1923 Season 2, Dougie Hall, who plays Two Spears, discussed how the show doesn’t shy away from the difficult truths of history. He explained that creator Taylor Sheridan is committed to telling an honest story, addressing past injustices rather than ignoring them.
“He’s willing to talk openly and honestly about real things and things that really happened to Indigenous people,” Hall said. “He sheds light on a lot of that because I think in order to heal from stuff in the past, we need to acknowledge that it happened.”
The series also explores anti-miscegenation laws, which outlawed interracial relationships at the time.
