The Best CIA Movies Ever
Image
Since its inception, Hollywood has made several films dedicated to stories of espionage, intelligence, and secret agencies. One of the most referenced real-world agencies in the film industry is the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), best known for carrying out American intelligence operations overseas. Despite its real-world mission statement to serve American national security interests, Hollywood doesn't always play up its best aspects.

The CIA has been cast in a variety of ways by Hollywood, from nefarious criminal conspiracies to daring rescue operations. Due to the shadowy nature of the agency in real life, its true nature has remained open to interpretation. Although some films heavily fictionalize both the capabilities and goals of the agency, others have opted for more realistic approaches. The agency has been the source of controversy, both on and off the film, but some movies have done a great job with it.

'I Think That'd Be Funny': Another Cobra Kai Actor Wants to Join Xolo Mariduea in the DC Universe
Image
Another Cobra Kai actor is ready to join James Gunn's DC Universe. Jacob Bertrand, who portrays Hawk in the Karate Kid sequel series, recently revealed which type of role he'd like to play in the Dcu.

Speaking with Screen Rant to promote Cobra Kai's final season, Bertrand was asked if he had spoken with his co-star Xolo Mariduea who plays Blue Beetle in the Dcu yet about trying to get him a role in the superhero franchise. "No, I haven't quite yet. I would need to get my knowledge up on superheroes first. I was never the biggest comic book kid growing up," the actor admitted. "Xolo really is the person that made that happen, though. Even when I first met him, he was constantly saying, 'That's my dream role. I want to play Blue Beetle, I want to play Blue Beetle.' So, kudos to him, he found...

'A Crucial Moment': Cobra Kai Showrunner Explains Character's Death in Final Season
Image
Cobra Kai showrunner Josh Heald recently discussed Season 6, Part 1, explaining the importance of a major character's death on the show. Tory Nichol's mother dies in the current season after being ill for much of the fan-favorite martial arts show.

In an interview with Screen Rant, Heald explained the importance of the traumatic loss for the story arc of Peyton List's character, Tory. "There are some 'Always' and some 'Sometimes' when it comes to the writers' room. After Season 1, it became a living organism, we had Season 1 completely in our heads when we entered the writers' room for Season 1, and it was more about telling the troops what we're doing, who's going where we take the castle, and we do it," the showrunner said.

Ralph Macchio Reacts to Fans Calling for Hilary Swank in Cobra Kai's Final Season
Image
As the protagonist of one of the Karate Kid franchise's feature films, many fans are hoping to see Hilary Swank returning in the final season of Cobra Kai. Up to this point, she still has not made a single appearance, and there won't be any more opportunities with the show concluding with its current sixth season.

Per Entertainment Tonight, Macchio was asked about other major cameos that could be coming up in the final season of Cobra Kai. While he couldn't get specific, the actor teased that there may be some exciting appearances from "one or two" franchise stars. Cobra Kai Co-Creator Clarifies How Netflix Series Connects to New Karate Kid Film
Image
It will soon be the end of Cobra Kai on Netflix, but the franchise will continue. An all-new Karate Kid film is in the works with some familiar faces, including one major star from Cobra Kai.

While Ben Wang will star in the new Karate Kid movie as the protagonist, it will feature Ralph Macchio reprising his role as Daniel Larusso. The inclusion of the character is the extent of the film's connections to Cobra Kai, however, as it will be the start of an original story. Speaking about the connections between the TV series and the film in a conversation with Screen Rant, co-creator Josh Heald reaffirmed that the Cobra Kai creative team was not directly involved. He also suggested that even with Daniel's return, the movie will tell its own standalone story.

Cobra Kai Creators Explain Why the Netflix Series Had to End With Season 6
Image
The story of Cobra Kai will be coming to its conclusion with the upcoming sixth season. Ahead of the first part's debut on Netflix later this month, the show's co-creators have commented on why Season 6 had to be the end for the show.

The series was created by Hayden Schlossberg, Jon Hurwitz, and Josh Heald. Schlossberg and Hurwitz addressed the series in a new chat with Screen Rant, describing how Season 5 helped set up the story's endgame. This essentially necessitated the series to end with Season 6. Though the series has also made the move from YouTube to Netflix during its run, Hurwitz pointed out how there was always a plan for the series finale in mind, but they didn't know at the start how many seasons it would take to get there.
