‘Yellowstone’ Season 5 Episode 4: Craziest Moments and Burning Questions, From Jamie and Beth’s Nastiest Fight Yet to John’s Political Booty Call
Image
Spoiler Alert: This post contains spoilers from the Season 5, Episode 4 episode of “Yellowstone,” “Horses in Heaven,” which premiered Sunday, Nov. 27 on Paramount Network.

Ah, the holidays. That time of year where you see your family and think, “Why am I not bequeathed an enormous ranch?” and “How can I tear down my siblings in order to build an empire?” At least those are the average thoughts of a “Yellowstone” superfan. Although your family might not be as gorgeous or mean or drunk as the Duttons, I still hope you had a helluva Thanksgiving.

But enough sincere reflection! Let’s wind up our beer bottles and dive into this week’s episode, which opens the morning after Beth (Kelly Reilly) had her bar brawl.

Welcome to everyone’s favorite spinoff, “Beth Behind Bars.”

“Some bitch from California tried to fuck my husband so I beat her with a beer bottle.” “So you’re,...

Jessup & Queeg, 'Men' and a 'Mutiny'
As Turner Classic Movies continues to play the Oscar hits all month long, last night I watched The Caine Mutiny and Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolfc. The latter I'd seen before and love, but this was my first visit with the former and while I'm sure it has been said before, the comparisons to Aaron Sorkin's screenplay for A Few Good Men are bountiful once you get to the third act court-martial of Lieutenant Steve Maryk (Van Johnson) and Ensign Keith (Robert Francis), charged with conspiring to mutiny. The charges aren't the same as those facing the two U.S. Marines in A Few Good Men and this is obviously the Navy we're dealing with, not the Marines, but the structure of the trial and in particular, the questioning of Humphrey Bogart's Lieutenant Commander Queeg is so similar it's impossible to miss. Before he begins his questioning of Queeg,...

Carlos Santana Reunites With Homeless Former Bandmate
Carlos Santana
Carlos Santana has reunited with a former—now homeless--bandmate forty years after they lost touch. The rock guitarist hadn't seen percussionist Marcus "The Magnificent" Malone in decades, until San Francisco's Kron-tv reporter Stanley Roberts brought them together, according to the station's website. Malone initially contacted Roberts claiming the Santana Blues Band got started in his mom's garage in the late 1960s. "At one time I was with the Santana band, the original Santana blues band," Malone said. "Now I'm homeless and on the streets." After confirming the story, the reporter took Santana to visit Malone in the camper he had been living in in...

Carlos Santana reunites with now homeless ex-band mate
Carlos Santana
Washington, Dec. 23: Rock guitarist Carlos Santana recently reunited with his former band mate, Marcus 'The Magnificent' Malone, who was accidently found by a reporter living off the street of Oakland, USA.

According to Kron-tv, Stanley Roberts discovered the homeless man while filming a story about illegal dumping, Contactmusic reported.

Malone, who had lost contact with Santana after getting jailed in 1969, told Roberts that he was once a music composer and used to be a member of Santana's original blues band.

On their recent meeting, when Malone told Santana that he is afraid to let him see him in such a state, Santana replied saying that it is an honor to be in Malone's presence.

Santana also promised.

Humphrey Bogart on TCM: The Caine Mutiny, The Maltese Falcon, Sahara
Humphrey Bogart, the most revered Old Hollywood tough guy, is Turner Classic Movies' Star of the Day this Wednesday as TCM continues its "Summer Under the Stars" film series.[Humphrey Bogart Movie Schedule.] My favorite tough guy — by far — is Edward G. Robinson. The star of Little Caesar, The Sea Wolf, House of Strangers, Key Largo, etc. is followed by James Cagney — when in psycho mode — and a whole bunch of tough dames, among them Barbara Stanwyck, Jane Greer, Ann Sheridan, and Ida Lupino. Bogart isn't on my list. In the aforementioned Key Largo, for instance, he is all but eviscerated by Robinson's charisma. TCM is currently showing John Huston's The Maltese Falcon (1941), officially Hollywood's first film noir and one of the most widely admired classics of the studio era. Needless to say, I'm at odds with the general consensus. I much prefer Roy Del Ruth's less atmospheric but more entertaining 1931 version...
