This post contains spoilers for the first episode of Paradise, which Hulu released over the weekend.
When This Is Us debuted in the fall of 2016, its pilot episode concluded with a twist that recontextualized everything we had been watching to that point: Instead of telling the parallel, contemporaneous stories of three groups of people who were seemingly only linked by several of them sharing a birthday, all of them were part of the same nuclear family, and one of the stories was set in the past, showing how two of...

[Warning: Because this review cannot and will not spoil key twists from Hulu’s new drama, Paradise, I will instead spoil key twists from Apple TV+’s Sugar. Skip the first paragraph if you don’t want Sugar spoiled for you.]
In Sugar, which premiered last April, Colin Farrell plays a movie-loving Los Angeles private investigator who is also — final spoiler warning — an alien. The twist, revealed in the sixth of eight episodes, isn’t a deviation from the established premise or a reversal of expectations — it’s the literal premise of the show, an enticing hook that becomes frustrating because the series spends six episodes teasing and hinting before revealing why you were supposed to be caring about what is otherwise a fairly perfunctory mystery.
I liked Farrell’s just-slightly-off-kilter performance, and the premise of the show, once revealed, was worthy of attention. But I’m looking forward to a second season in which Sugar can just be the show that it is,...

A famous Deal or No Deal catchphrase stumped a contestant on Tuesday night’s (January 7) episode of Wheel of Fortune, causing them to miss out on a massive $70,000 cash prize. The contestant in question was law student Nicole Robinson from Sugar Land, Texas, who told host Ryan Seacrest she has been cancer-free for five years. Robinson faced off against Channing Hans from Los Angeles, California, and David Quinn from Chicago Heights, Illinois. Robinson proved to be a force to be reckoned with from the very start, nailing the Round 1 puzzle and the Mystery Round puzzle to give her an early lead of $5,200, plus the Wild Card wedge. Her game slowed down a little in the Express Round as Quinn made a comeback, solving the puzzle to take the lead with $10,000, in addition to a trip to Los Cabos. Not to be deterred, Robinson stepped up her game in the Triple Toss Up,...

Suits is one of the best and most popular legal dramas that managed to make the profession of lawyer cool again. Created by Aaron Korsh, the USA Network series follows Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams), who has a photographic memory and joins Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) at a prestigious law firm. The only problem with that is Mike didn’t actually go to law school and he doesn’t have a degree about which he has to lie to everyone. Suits ran for 9 brilliant seasons and ended its run in 2019. So, if you loved the witty banter, high stakes, and compelling characters in Suits here are some similar brilliant shows you should check out next.

While Princess Charlotte is busy following in mom Princess Kate's fashionable footsteps (recycling clothes like a pro!), 3-year-old Prince George is taking style cues from Uncle Harry. Wearing maroon shorts, navy blue knee-high socks and his first pair of "grown up" loafers at a playdate in Victoria, Canada, on Thursday, it was clear that Kate is still favoring throwback fashions, echoing a look that Prince Harry wore 27 years ago when he was just 4 years old. "It very much feels that they are following a family tradition, putting George in similar clothes to what Prince Harry and Prince William wore when they were younger,...

For the second time, a possible lawsuit may occur involving a German shepherd who once was owned by Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony. While a woman was working for the dog’s current owners, “West Wing” actress Nicole Robinson and Craig Snyder, accusations were made that the canine took a bite out of her breast and hand last June. "Plaintiff was severely traumatized by the attack, and remains in fear of all large dogs," says the suit filed in Manhattan Supreme Court. Mary Bahl was the second to complain just five weeks after the couple’s babysitter sued, claiming Floyd sunk his teeth into her side. Lopez and Anthony owned Floyd from 2005-2007, also settling a federal suit by a flight attendant who said the dog pounced on her on a private plan. The canine has also been accused of attacking a housekeeper and Anthony’s personal assistant. The latest...

Robinson Sued Over German Shepherd
Nicole Robinson is facing legal action from a New York woman who alleges she was injured by the West Wing star's dog.
A babysitter has filed a lawsuit in Manhattan Supreme Court alleging the German shepherd, named Floyd Von Meierhof, attacked and bit her while she was working for the actress.
Robinson's husband Craig Snyder told the New York Daily News he had not yet seen the suit.
It's not the first time the pooch has been involved in a legal spat - Jennifer Lopez and her husband Marc Anthony were sued by a flight attendant, housekeeper and personal assistant who all claimed to have been hurt by Floyd.
The couple got rid of the dog in 2007 - when Robinson purchased Floyd for $35,000 (£21,875).

West Wing Star To Support Lopez In Dog Lawsuit
West Wing actress Nicole Robinson has vowed to support Jennifer Lopez when her dog lawsuit goes to court - as she is the pooch's new owner.
Lopez and her husband Marc Anthony were sued earlier this month by flight attendant Lisa Wilson, who claims she has suffered serious back problems after the couple's German Shepherd, Floyd, knocked her over on the pair's private jet.
Wilson, who filed legal papers at New York's Brooklyn Federal Court, insists the 2006 incident would never have happened if the dog was better trained.
However, Floyd has one person who is willing to stand up for his character in court - Robinson, who bought the dog from K-9 security outfit in South Carolina in 2007 following a robbery at her New York apartment.
Anthony previously bought the pooch from the company, but later returned him.
And Robinson and her husband Craig Snyder insist there is no way Floyd would have acted aggressively.
Snyder tells the New York Daily News, "I will go to court to defend Floyd's honour. You can get security dogs for half or one-third of the price, but to me those dogs would pose a risk to my family.
"Cheaper dogs are not trained to distinguish between a real threat and a kid who pulls their tail. (This) dog is 100 per cent peace of mind.
"Floyd acts like a big baby puppy who just wants to be loved."...
