We have some good news to share with fans about Outer Banks season 5!

The cast and crew of Outer Banks are getting ready to start filming the final season of the hit Netflix original series. The latest rumors and reports suggest Outer Banks season 5 filming starts this spring, and that's a very good sign for fans anxiously awaiting the release of the final season.

According to a report from The Island Packet, Dan Rogers of the South Carolina Film Commission said the cast and crew of Outer Banks season 5 will be filming in Beaufort County in May 2025. It's likely that they will film in and around Hunting Island, as they've done in the past.

Why is this a big deal? Well, it's the first time we've seen an official discuss the filming start date since Jonas Pate revealed that production would start this spring during an interview with Port City...

The British Film Designers Guild (Bfdg) announced the winners of its 14th Production Design Awards Saturday evening in London.

Wicked and Conclave were two big winners in their respective categories. Wicked added the Bfdg award for Best Production Design, Major Motion Picture Fantasy to recent accolades from BAFTA, The Critics Choice Awards and the Adg (Art Directors Guild of America). Conclave picked up the Best Production Design, Feature Film Contemporary and Fantasy award following its BAFTA wins for Best British Film and Best Film.

There were 15 categories which included film, television, commercials, a new category for music video as well as special awards to individuals for Outstanding Contribution to the Art Department and Lifetime Achievement.

Lord have mercy! HBO‘s The Righteous Gemstones and Searchlight‘s Suncoast will pause production as Hurricane Ian heads for South Carolina. Recently downgraded to a Category 1 hurricane, Ian still threatens Charleston, where both shows are filming. Production on HBO’s The Righteous Gemstones and Searchlight’s Suncoast, which have been filming in Charleston, have shut down as Hurricane Ian nears the South Carolina coast after devastating a large swath of Gulf Coast Florida.

The storm, which has been downgraded to a Category 1 hurricane, is expected to make landfall Friday afternoon.

“Both are on hold today,” Dan Rogers, project manager for the South Carolina Film Commission, told Deadline. “They said they expect to pick up on Monday, but everyone’s kind of in a wait-and-see mode right now. Because Charleston is so low-lying, you’re dealing with a lot of water issues. So we’ll just have to wait and see what kind of rainfall we get.
