Image
Phineas and Ferb is arguably one of the most beloved children’s cartoons. The series was created by Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh and ran for four seasons before concluding in 2017. A fifth installment of the series is slated to premiere later this year, making it an opportune moment to go back in time and reflect on the classic cartoon’s creation. During an interview, Povenmire revealed that the series originated from a doodle he made during a visit to a restaurant. What followed is one of the strangest origin stories for an animated series and here is how it all went down.
