John Walker Is Stronger Than Steve Rogers After Thunderbolts* Even if Chris Evans’ Loyal Fans Won’t Agree With It
Image
What happens when a soldier who was built by science meets the one forged by war? And most importantly, what if the one you least expected turns out to be the stronger force between the two? The Marvel Cinematic Universe is no stranger to evolution, and characters like Steve Rogers and John Walker have truly come far.

The antihero ensemble in Thunderbolts* is led by John, who takes center stage in a mission that spirals into chaos and betrayal. Longtime fans might continue to champion Chris Evans’ Cap, but the new super soldier might be a tad bit stronger than the Og.

We were first introduced to John Walker in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, where people were quite skeptical about the character. He was a decorated soldier with real-world experience,...

Christopher Nolan’s Favorite James Bond Isn’t Who You Think—“He’s Closest To The Character In The Book
Image
Christopher Nolan’s Bond Pick May Surprise Every 007 Fan ( Photo Credit – Instagram )

Bypass the martini-sipping charm of Sean Connery or the brooding grit of Daniel Craig. Christopher Nolan, the guy behind mind-bending blockbusters like Inception and Tenet, has a different Bond in mind. And no, it’s not Pierce Brosnan either. It’s Timothy Dalton, the Bond many fans tend to skip over. Nolan’s pick is the man who only played 007 twice, in The Living Daylights (1987) and Licence to Kill (1989). Of course, it’s a short run, but Dalton left a mark, at least on Nolan. “I think he’s closest to the character in the book,” the director said on the Happy Sad Confused podcast.

Now that’s something Bond fans don’t hear every day. It turns out that Christopher Nolan has been a Bond fanboy all along. He’s not shy about it either.

Every MCU Character Who Held Captain America’s Shield: From Steve Rogers To Sam Wilson
Image
MCU Characters Who’s Held Captain America’s Shield! ( Photo Credit – X )

Captain America’s vibranium shield is one of the most iconic objects in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a symbol of strength, justice, and the burden of leadership. Forged from Wakandan vibranium, its unbreakable design isn’t just a practical tool of defense or offense, but a mantle passed down. While Steve Rogers will forever be synonymous with the shield, he isn’t the only one to hold or wield it.

Over the course of the MCU’s history, several characters, heroes, allies, and temporary successors have handled the shield, whether in moments of desperation, tribute, or conflict. But among them, only a few have carried the full weight of the shield’s legacy. For some, it was a brief encounter in battle. For others, a transformation of identity.

Thunderbolts* Star Wyatt Russell Reveals He Did Not Want US Agent To Say Iconic Captain America Quote
Image
Warning: This article contains Spoilers for Thunderbolts*.John Walker actor Wyatt Russell reveals his Thunderbolts* character originally didn't say Captain America's iconic line in Jake Schreier's MCU movie. Soon after the Thunderbolts realize they have to work together to escape Val's vault, Walker takes a more aggressive approach than his fellow anti-heroes and breaks the generator that powers the vault's defense system. Walker drops a line that could be interpreted as a Thunderbolts* easter egg, as he warns his teammates saying, "on your left" — the line that kicked off Steve Rogers and Sam Wilson's close friendship in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

During an interview with EW, Thunderbolts*star Wyatt Russell reveals John Walker's "on your left" line wasn't originally in the movie. Instead, director Jake Schreier added the line in post-production, allegedly as "just something to fill a void" when John Walker takes the lead.

‘Hawkeye’ Jeremy Renner Once Claimed The Avengers: Infinity War Makers, The Russo Brothers, Received Death Threats For This Reason( Photo Credit – Instagram )

Marvel Studios has produced some of the biggest blockbusters over the years. The MCU has a strong fanbase, and fans are very involved with the movies. The Avengers franchise completely changed the superhero genre. Jeremy Renner, best known for playing Hawkeye in the MCU, once claimed that Anthony Russo and Joe Russo, popularly known as the Russo Brothers, received several death threats from a certain fanbase. They directed Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame. Keep scrolling for more.

Renner joined the MCU in 2011 and had a brief cameo in Thor starring Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston. His Hawkeye had a full-fledged role in The Avengers, released in 2012. Every MCU Character Who Wielded Thor’s Mjolnir: From Steve Rogers To Hela
Image
Which MCU Characters Lifted Thor’s Mjolnir? ( Photo Credit – Facebook; X )

Mjolnir is perhaps the most iconic weapon used by any superhero in the MCU. Forged in the heart of a dying star, it is more than a weapon. It’s a test. Odin’s enchantment, “Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor,” makes it a selective tool, only usable by those who pass an invisible moral standard.

While it spent much of its time in Thor’s hands, a few notable characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe have lifted it or fought with its powers. From emotional reveals to jaw-dropping action scenes, these moments reshaped how audiences understood heroism, worthiness, and the evolving mythology of Asgard.

Deleting This Chris Evans Scene From Avengers 2 Was a Mistake, Which Explains Why Captain America Doesn’t Wear His Helmet
Image
Chris Evans didn’t just play Captain America, but embodied the character with every fiber of his being. Every commanding speech, every impossible leap, and morally grounded decision built the superhero in our eyes over the years.

He wasn’t just a soldier with a suit and star-studded shield, he was the soul of the Avengers. But there’s one deleted scene that could have added layers to how we saw our Cap. It could have been a powerful moment in Avengers: Age of Ultron, but in the end, it became a missed opportunity.

Thunderbolts* Star Wyatt Russell Was Initially Opposed To That Captain America Joke
Image
"Thunderbolts*" is one of the biggest surprises in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in recent years, a movie that's rather mature and dark in its subject matter and approach to exploring mental health, but also an action-packed movie with fun sequences and a great sense of humor. As a team-up film, "Thunderbolts*" lives and dies by its team dynamics, and in this case, that dynamic makes for some hilarious moments and some great banter.

That being said, not all the comedy works in the film. Particularly, despite not being anywhere near on the level of a "Deadpool" movie or an early-days MCU movie, "Thunderbolts*" does have a few nods and references that fall painfully flat or feel forced, like what seems like a nod to a Christmas action-comedy starring David Harbour. Then there's the reference to Captain America that even left a bad taste in the mouth of one member of the main cast.

Forget 'Winter Soldier' - Bucky Just Got His Coolest Nickname in Marvel History
Image
As Doctor Doom takes over the Marvel Universe, the former Winter Solider (and current 'Revolution') Bucky Barnes has become a major thorn in the villain's side. Marvel's One World Under Doom event has seen Doctor Doom become the dictatorial ruler of Earth, with Marvel's heroes fighting for freedom against the evil Sorcerer Supreme. But while Earth's Mightiest Heroes fight Doom in the spotlight, Bucky's Thunderbolts are trying to bring him down from the shadows.

Captain America has long been nicknamed 'the Sentinel of Liberty' by Marvel, and now Bucky Barnes has his own title.

In a preview of Thunderbolts: Doomstrike #4 - by Jackson Lanzing, Collin Kelly, Tommaso Bianchi, Yen Nitro and Joe Sabino - Doctor Doom prepares to torture Bucky, crowing that Captain America has already submitted to his regime.

As part of his mocking, Doctor Doom admits he knows it will take a lot of pain to break Bucky,...

I’m So Glad Marvel Scrapped the “Kick-a** plot” That Was the Original Script for ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’
Image
Reworking a script is one of the most important steps before any movie goes into production. A similar thing happened with Marvel Studios when they decided to work on the 2011 film Captain America: The First Avenger.

Starring Chris Evans in the leading role of Captain America, the film was one of the Og Marvel movies, which hinted at the possibility of a bigger universe far beyond these solo movies. Although the film is almost entirely set in the 1940s, the original script for The First Avenger would have handled things much differently.

Captain America: The First Avenger was exclusively set in the past

The point of the whole movie was to show that there is a thing called The Tesseract and to show the origin story of Chris Evans‘ Captain America, who was frozen in ice for 60 years.

Sebastian Stan’s 7 Best Performances, In and Out of the Marvel-Verse
Image
Sebastian Stan is back as Bucky Barnes, aka the ruthless, one-armed Winter Soldier in the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe film, “Thunderbolts*,” but the highly trained super soldier is only one of his many great roles.

The award-winning actor is well known for his turn as an action hero, but he is also adept at comedy, dark psychological drama and embodying a number of real-life people on the big and small screen .

Here are our favorite roles of his so far:

Sebastian Stan in “Hot Tub Time Machine” (Credit: MGM/UA) Blaine in “Hot Tub Time Machine”

Not one of his “best” films, per se, but Sebastian Stan is one of the funniest things in this comedy as stereotypical ’80s bully Blaine, who flips out when he thinks time travelers John Cusack, Craig Robinson, Clark Duke and Rob Corddry are actually Russian spies. “They could be some kind of ’21 Jump Street’ spy battalion-type dudes,...

Forget The New Avengers; Who Is On Sam Wilson's Avengers© Team Heading Into Doomsday?
Image
In the closing moments of Thunderbolts*, we're introduced to the New Avengers: Yelena Belova, Bucky Barnes, Red Guardian, U.S. Agent, Ghost, and Bob (a.k.a. The Sentry).

The post-credits scene reveals that Bucky no longer sees eye-to-eye with Sam Wilson; Captain America has assembled his own Avengers team and is attempting to sue the "New Avengers" for using the name. The question is, who will the former Falcon lead into battle in Avengers: Doomsday next year?

We're taking the Young Avengers off the table because leaked concept art suggests they'll form their own team. We're also going to work under the assumption that, alongside Captain America, this will be at least a seven-person group.

Find out who we believe will follow Sam into battle against Doctor Doom by clicking the "Next"/"View List" buttons below.

Thunderbolts*: Who were the first New Avengers in Marvel Comics, explained
Image
The first team of Avengers in Marvel Comics was Thor, Ant-Man, the Wasp, Hulk, and Iron Man. Captain America didn’t join the team until a few issues in, but he’s still considered one of the founding members. Steve Rogers wasn’t the last new member to join the team, either. Between Avengers No. 1 (1964) and Avengers: Disassembled (2004), there have been dozens of roster changes. However, the first New Avengers comic book (Breakout) started in 2005 with their most random team ever.

In this series, Electro was paid by Elektra (who we later find out is a Skrull) to break Sauron out of the supervillain prison, the Raft. The prison break caused a blackout in New York, which got Spider-Man involved. Captain America’s helicopter crashed on the Raft after it was hit by lightning. Luke Cage was...

Chris Evans’ Screen Test Footage With Tom Holland for Captain America: Civil War

Before we saw Tom Holland in the MCU, he had a fun moment with Chris Evans, where they were not in any costume or battle, but in a studio. The nervous new kid meeting the intimidating superhero was truly a sight to see in Captain America: Civil War.

In the movie, Spider-Man’s entrance was such a game-changer, but that moment seemed to have been meticulously planned and tested before, to see if the stars had good chemistry. So, let’s take a closer look at the screen test between two of Marvel’s greatest heroes.

Sebastian Stan Would’ve Lost The Winter Soldier Role After Auditioning for Steve Rogers Had He Not Done 1 Thing
Image
Before he became one of the proud faces of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, actor Sebastian Stan was just another actor trying to make it big in the industry. While at present, fans know him as Bucky Barnes, aka the Winter Soldier, his journey to becoming a superhero sidekick-turned-central figure wasn’t as straightforward as it may seem.

In fact, initially, he had set his eyes on an entirely different role. But as fate would have it, one unexpected decision set him on a path that would later define his career and make him a Marvel mainstay. Now, with the release of his latest project Thunderbolts*, it’s the perfect time to revisit the key moment that could’ve changed everything.

How Sebastian Stan almost missed out on becoming the Winter Soldier?

The Only Marvel Character To Show Up In Every Captain America Movie
Image
There are few stranger types of movies than a Marvel Cinematic Universe film sequel. Most MCU sequels feel less like their own movie and more like an episode of a TV show that's decided to focus on a specific character for the week. You know how a typical episode of "Lost" would spotlight one cast member while the larger plot continued to progress around them? By the time we got to the mid-2010s, that's how most non-"Avengers" MCU movies felt.

The "Captain America" movies are perhaps the biggest example of this. "The First Avenger" ended with Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) waking up 70 years after World War II; a typical second movie in the series would've followed up on the cliffhanger, making Steve's struggles to adapt to the modern world a major focus. But because "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" happens after "The Avengers," Steve has already gone through...

Thunderbolts* arrived in theaters last week to glowing reviews from fans and critics alike. Marvel Studios is so back (though we're pretty sure everyone said the same thing after Deadpool & Wolverine and Daredevil: Born Again), and this is a key chapter in the Multiverse Saga.

While this movie sets the stage for Avengers: Doomsday in a big way, it also expands on story arcs and characters from several previous MCU films and TV shows. The Thunderbolts also have a storied comic book history.

In this feature, we're taking a closer look at Thunderbolts*'s biggest and best Easter Eggs, references, comic book nods, and cameos. Some you might have spotted, and others likely passed you by during this epic and emotional new blockbuster.

Breaking down the Thunderbolts* Marvel Cinematic Universe connections
Image
Thunderbolts* is a movie that is many years in the making, while, at the same time, it seemingly comes out of nowhere. Sebastian Stan’s Bucky (who began his Marvel journey 14 years ago) and Florence Pugh’s Yelena, are front and center in this superhero movie, but this promotion was not necessarily a path that many fans expected the MCU to take. Given the final product, audiences everywhere should be cheering that Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios decided to assemble this unlikely group of questionable heroes.

This is Stan’s ninth film as Bucky and he also previously starred in his titular Disney Plus show The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. That is where he more openly made amends for his past, and his newfound heroics started to be more in the public spotlight.

His most recent attendance, before Thunderbolts*, was visiting his one-time partner Sam in Captain America: Brave New World.

Marvel’s Multiverse Obsession Hits a New Low With Robert Downey Jr.’s Doom: Here’s Why
Image
Ever since Marvel announced Robert Downey Jr.’s casting as Doctor Doom, the fans have been highly skeptical. While the announcement generated many headlines, the Marvel purists are still not convinced by the idea. As if things were not worrying enough for Avengers: Doomsday, a new theory regarding Doom’s introduction has concerned the fans even more.

The introduction of the Multiverse has undoubtedly given Marvel a free hand to do whatever they want with their characters. At this point, Chris Evans has played both Steve Rogers and Johnny Storm in the MCU. However, the Multiverse obsession is seemingly getting a bit out of hand, as a viral theory hints that Rdj’s return may be nothing more than a cheap tactic.

The Thunderbolts* Post-Credits Scene Finally Gets Back To What We've Missed From The MCU
Image
The following contains spoilers for "Thunderbolts*."

Following the initial reactions to the premiere of "Thunderbolts," a common opinion emerged that we've heard many times before. Marvel is back, everyone! But this time it might really be the case. Reviews (like ours) are out for the latest chapter in the MCU and the recurring bit of praise that keeps appearing is "Thunderbolts*" truly feels like a Marvel movie with something to say within this massive movie franchise — not simply focused on its own story to tell, but ensuring to branch out into the wider universe that it's a part of. From top to bottom, this is the kind of entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe we've missed for so long, right down to its jaw-dropping post-credit scene.

Excluding the Red Guardian (David Harbour) and his poor salesmanship in the cereal aisle, Jake Schreier's MCU chapter does something that none of...

Thunderbolts Confirms One Thing We've Always Suspected About Marvel Movies
Image
It is no secret that Marvel is not where it was before 2018. "Avengers: Endgame" was the perfect bookend of that whole franchise, but when the Marvel Cinematic Universe charged forward, the pandemic messed up any and all schedules for a cohesive release order. Then there's the Jonathan Majors scandal that completely derailed the plans they did have, and when you add that to Disney+ releasing more Marvel Studios TV shows than one could feasibly watch, the interest in the grand Marvel Cinematic Universe experiment has waned significantly in recent years — as seen by the box office results.

This makes the positive response to "Thunderbolts*" — like /Film's own Bj Colangelo writing a glowing review praising the movie's maturity — a much welcome break. Having seen the movie, however, one thing becomes clear about what makes the movie just such a fun time.

"Thunderbolts*" is based on the comic book antihero team of the same name,...

I Didn’t See Clint Eastwood’s Greatest Movie Saving Marvel With ‘Thunderbolts*’ Coming True After 15 Years of Bucky
Image
Clint Eastwood is a legendary actor and filmmaker who has been an inspiring presence for many generations of artists after him. The two-time Oscar winner is one of the most prolific filmmakers in the business and the nonagenarian recently directed his apparent final film Juror #2. However, his old classics are still influential.

Sebastian Stan recently credited his performance as a wiser and older Bucky Barnes in the MCU’s Thunderbolts* to Eastwood’s Oscar-winning film. He did not mean that his performance was anywhere near Eastwood’s masterful performance as William Munny in Unforgiven, but he reportedly took inspiration from it.

‘The Avengers Are Not Coming’: Where Exactly Are the Avengers During ‘Thunderbolts’?
Image
If there’s one thing that’s been made especially clear in the last few years of Marvel movies — and now even more so in “Thunderbolts*” — it’s that the Avengers are gone, and Earth is sorely missing its mightiest heroes. But what exactly happened to all of them?

It can be hard to remember where everyone ended up after “Avengers: Endgame,” especially because in the six years since that movie came out, there have been 25 new projects (split between TV series and movies). So, we figured it was about time to take stock, especially since that final line-up of Avengers was pretty extensive.

Here’s what happened to everyone, and why they haven’t shown up in awhile.

12 Lesser Known Wyatt Russell Works That You Should Be Watching
Image
Wyatt Russell might be suiting up again as the edgy U.S. Agent in Thunderbolts*, Marvel’s upcoming anti-hero ensemble flick, but this helmet-wearing, shield-tossing powerhouse has been quietly building a resume packed with quirky, intense, and underrated gems for over a decade. Sure, he’s got that familiar smirk and Kurt Russell’s action-star genes, but Wyatt’s real magic lies in how effortlessly he slides from indie oddball to military hero to full-blown supernatural investigator.

While the MCU might be what catapults him further into the spotlight, it’s time we gave some serious love to the lesser-known roles that shaped him into the scene-stealer he is today. From eerie horrors to twisted comedies and low-key thrillers, these projects show Wyatt flexing his acting muscles well before he ever earned a red-striped star on his chest. Let’s dig into 12 of his must-watch, under-the-radar performances.

12 Strongest Avengers In The MCU, Ranked
Image
It's official: "Avengers: Doomsday" has finally entered into production. The new crossover movie of the Marvel Cinematic Universe promises to be its biggest yet, featuring Robert Downey Jr. making his return to the franchise in the role of iconic villain Doctor Doom. However, there are many major Marvel characters left out of the "Doomsday" cast announcement, which included stars from recent releases like "Captain America: Brave New World," "Thunderbolts*," and "The Fantastic Four: First Steps."

That being said, it's been a long time since the Avengers have properly existed in the MCU. The team famously split apart during the events of "Captain America: Civil War," only reuniting temporarily to help reverse Thanos' genocidal "snap" in "Avengers: Endgame." Given that the cast of "Doomsday," and likely its follow-up "Avengers: Secret Wars," includes numerous superhero teams, it's unclear which recently-introduced heroes, like Shang-Chi or She-Hulk, will join the new Avengers lineup.

Nevertheless,...

Avengers: Doomsday (2026)
Rumor: Are these the remaining Avengers: Doomsday cast members?
Avengers: Doomsday (2026)
Last month, the Marvel Studios social media accounts started live-streaming a video they labeled as an all-caps Announcement. The video showed a soundstage where, one by one, chairs reserved for actors were revealed, with a new chair coming into view every 10 minutes or so. As it turns out, this was a very long and slow way of revealing (a large chunk of) the cast of Avengers: Doomsday, which is now in production and aiming for a May 1, 2026 theatrical release. The names of twenty-seven cast members were shown that day, with Marvel teasing, “There’s always room for more…” With cameras now rolling, we’ve been waiting to see if they’ll announce the rest of the cast list with more chair backs, or they’ll find a different way to do it. And while we wait, industry journalist Jeff Sneider of The InSneider has been sent a list that his...

Thunderbolts* is about to strike the box office at the beginning of May, and the film pulls together a cast of Marvel Cinematic Unvierse characters from very different backgrounds and projects of the past phases.

Thunderbolts*star Sebastian Stan opens up about why he thought of Clint Eastwood on the set of the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe film.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Stan discussed the overarching trajectory of his iconic MCU character, Bucky Barnes, better known as the Winter Soldier, as well as how he fits into the Thunderbolts' wider team dynamic. "It’s always funny when there’s that dynamic with people like these characters," Stan explained, "because technically are they villains? Are they heroes or not, where do they stand? It’s what [his character] Bucky Barnes is essentially, he’s always been trying to figure it out and they are too."

"I feel like the hardest era for Bucky, for now, has passed," Stan added, noting how his take on the character has not only been on the silver screen for well over a decade, but how the character has been a part...

Avengers 5 Spoiler: Robert Downey Jr in Iron Man Suit Is Making Me Nervous For Doctor Doom’s MCU Debut
Image
Some people think the MCU is now running mostly on nostalgia, and they are not wrong. For a while, Marvel tried to do new things, but most of those didn’t really work out, more misses than hits. Now it feels like they’re trying to copy their past success instead of moving forward. The Doomsday cast announcement, for example, felt like a big show meant to copy the excitement of the Endgame era.

Now, people have known for a while that Robert Downey Jr. is coming back, not as Iron Man, but as Doctor Doom. That news really shook things up. Some fans are super excited, others think it’s a terrible idea. It’s got people arguing all over the internet. And just as the news was starting to settle and fans were beginning to form their opinions, something even crazier happened!

Marvel writer Chris Claremont said at...

Chris Evans’ Return to Avengers as Captain Hydra Explained
Image
Fans assemble! The multiverse just got a whole lot more Evans-sive.

After previously watching Chris Evans appear in Marvel’s Deadpool & Wolverine, we all got the urge to see more of him in the MCU. But sadly, Evans’ Captain America had retired, and Johnny Storm died in Ryan Reynolds’ threequel. So that’s where all our hopes subsided.

However, recently, the legendary comic writer Chris Claremont casually spilled the superhero tea during a panel at the Huntsville Pop Culture Expo 2025. According to him, the upcoming Avengers movie is going full-on Marvel madness and bringing Chris Evans in multiple roles, including his appearance as Captain Hydra.

Chris Claremont dropped spoilers about Avengers: Doomsday casting

Oh yes, things got real. For everyone coming across Chris Evans’ casting rumor surrounding Avengers: Doomsday via the Og video, tweets, or our article—yes, we heard it as well. Chris Claremont just leaked half the MCU’s secret playbook.

“Most of us didn’t make it by doing this”: Wyatt Russell’s Comment Proves ‘Thunderbolts*’ May Be Marvel’s Most Important Movie After Endgame
Image
There was once a time when Marvel movies felt different. A time when the focus was on compelling characters and a gripping story instead of drawn-out set-ups for the next big event. That whole Avengers: Endgame era felt like the peak of their mountain. But ever since, staying tuned has been challenging, to say the least.

We’ve seen it all (almost) — multiverses, timeline warps, new powers emerging. But if you’ve been craving a Marvel movie that feels genuinely human, there’s good news. Marvel Studios’ upcoming film, Thunderbolts*, is arriving this May 2nd to cap out Phase 5. From the formidable Yelena Belova to the familiar Bucky Barnes and the controversial John Walker, this collective isn’t what you would call the ‘Earth’s Mightiest Heroes’.

Regardless, as Wyatt Russel would tell you, sometimes the biggest wins come from the most unlikely places.

Thunderbolts* Star Sebastian Stan Reveals Real Reason Bucky Joined Congress
Image
Audiences are getting hyped for Thunderbolts*, and fans of Bucky Barnes are particularly excited. The character, played by Sebastian Stan, has been a fan favorite ever since he debuted in Captain America: The First Avenger in 2011.

After Steve Rogers handed the Captain America shield to Sam Wilson, Bucky was left to figure out his place in the world. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Stan talked about Bucky's becoming congressman and the real reason behind the character's career move. "Imagine a quarterback of a football team getting replaced or retiring, and then he keeps showing up even though he’s not playing anymore," he said. "And they’re just like, 'Yeah, man, whatever you want to do. Don't worry.'"

"He just wants to be helpful in some way, and they give him a little pat on the back and go, 'It’s so nice to have you here,'" Stan continued.

“I can just do this in my way”: Sebastian Stan’s ‘Thunderbolts*’ Remark Has Convinced Me He Should Have Been Captain America After Chris Evans
Image
Thunderbolts* is coming in hot—and guess who’s leading the charge? That’s right, Bucky freakin’ Barnes. The trailers have dropped, and while I’m hyped, I’m also irrationally angry. Why? Because every second of footage reminds me that Sebastian Stan should’ve been the one to wield the shield in Avengers: Endgame.

From his first appearance in Captain America (2011) to his evolution as the Winter Soldier, Bucky has always been in Steve Rogers’ orbit. And now? He’s stepping out from Cap’s shadow in Thunderbolts*, leading a squad of morally grey misfits to face the Void.

It’s Sebastian Stan’s tenth MCU outing, but the first where there’s no Captain America by his side. Instead, Bucky’s channeling that Cap energy in his own raw, tactical, no-b.S. way. Still, am I thrilled that Bucky didn’t become the Star-Spangled-Man himself? Well, that’s a hard no.

X-men Writer Chris Claremont Has Seemingly Dropped Some Huge Spoilers For Avengers: Secret Wars
Image
Comic book writer Chris Claremont is a bona fide legend and, if you've ever read a truly great X-Men comic, chances are he wrote it. Claremont has consulted on various Marvel movies, but can we count Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars among them?

The writer appeared at the Huntsville Pop Culture Expo over the weekend and started talking about the latter movie. Claremont was rambling a little, but appeared to drop several big details about Secret Wars in the process.

For starters, he said Robert Downey Jr. will play multiple characters in the movie, including Iron Man. He also revealed that Chris Evans will be back as Captain America, a young Steve Rogers, and Hydra Cap, later adding that Elizabeth Olsen will return as a "good' Scarlet Witch.

He also claimed that Psylocke is returning and suggested Wolverine will "kill somebody important."

Claremont might have gotten rumours mixed up with fact,...

Sebastian Stan is gearing up for his return as Bucky Barnes in Marvel’s upcoming movie Thunderbolts*. As anticipation builds for this new chapter, fans are also keeping a close eye on news surrounding Avengers: Doomsday, which is bringing back some familiar faces.

‘Thunderbolts*’: Sebastian Stan and Wyatt Russell Talk Marvel’s Most Unexpected Story and Wanting to Disprove Naysayers
Image
There’s a scene in Jake Schreier’s Thunderbolts* where Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes ruins an illusion that Wyatt Russell’s John Walker has been trying to uphold. Walker proceeds to give such a vulnerable look to Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova that you might find yourself reevaluating how you feel about the disgraced former Captain America from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Disney+ series. It’s one of the many unexpected moments in, arguably, Marvel Studios’ most unexpected superhero tale to date.

Stan and Russell recently sat down with The Hollywood Reporter to discuss some of the other unanticipated components of the film, starting with Congressman Barnes, something that was first set up in Captain America: Brave New World. Bucky visited the new Captain America, Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie), at a moment when he needed his friend most, and the then-former Winter Soldier had to cut their...

Black Widow deleted scene confirms how Natasha escaped from Ross
Image
Black Widow may be one of the most underrated Marvel movies. Released back in 2021, it was the only movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to be released simultaneously in theaters and on Disney Plus. This was a new, temporary approach that studios were trying in order to navigate the pandemic and it meant that audiences could either watch a movie in the cinema like they usually would or view it from the comfort of their own home.

The film spotlighted Scarlett Johansson's Natasha Romanoff and acted as a send-off after the character's heroic death in Avengers: Endgame. To do that, it threw us back to 2016 in the MCU timeline shortly after the Avengers got "divorced" during the events of Captain America: Civil War. Natasha was on the run from the government, particularly Secretary of State Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross (prior to his stint as president).

However, in the film's final act,...

Chris Evans Reacts to Captain America 4 Movie Following Mixed Reviews
Image
Former Steve Rogers actor Chris Evans checked in on his friend, Captain America: Brave New World star Anthony Mackie, after the film hit theaters.

The fourth entry in the Captain America film series had its wings clipped by mixed reviews, which contributed to Brave New World's 48% Rotten Tomatoes score.

That is to say nothing of the online complaints and vitriol targeting a sequel where a Black actor took over for a white one, which Captain America 4 screenwriter Rob Thomas laughed off recently over the particular criticism's irrelevancy.

Captain America: Brave New World Unused Set Designs Seemingly Reveal Scrapped Steve Rogers Cameo
Image
We last saw Chris Evans' Steve Rogers at the end of Avengers: Endgame. After returning from a timeline where he got his happy ending with Peggy Carter, Captain America returned to the present day as an old man and presented Sam Wilson with a new shield.

Since then, we've heard that Steve is "gone," though it's not been made clear whether the Avenger retired or died (the Statue of Liberty being turned into a tribute to him seems to suggest the latter is more likely).

Steve didn't show up in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier or Captain America: Brave New World, though some unused set designs for the latter appear to confirm that a cameo was at least considered.

Artist Daniel Jennings explains, "I moved onto Sam's family shrimp boat from Winter Warrior. Winter Warrior used an actual shrimp boat, but as this featured a poker game between three generations of Captain America,...

Captain America: Brave New Worldchallenges the status quo of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the sprawling superhero franchise hurtles toward the end of the Multiverse Saga. Following Sam Wilson's struggle to maintain peace and order in a world seemingly on the verge of war, Brave New World firmly establishes its central character as the definitive successor to Steve Rogers and the new leader of the Avengers. Though Sam manages to stave off World War III, not everyone emerges from the events of Captain America 4 unscathed, including one character whose downfall could change the MCU forever.

Captain America: Brave New World Worldwide Box Office: Set To Beat Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam This Weekend!

Captain America: Brave New World Worldwide Box Office: To Beat Black Adam(Photo Credit –Facebook/Prime Video)

The MCU movie Captain America: Brave New World is reaping the benefits of Snow White’s mediocre welcome at the box office in North America. This is, in turn, helping it surpass Black Adam’s worldwide haul. It is not the brightest star in the MCU but is still trying to earn some profit until it is in the theatres. Keep scrolling for the deets.

Captain America 4 was expected to suffer after the release of Snow White, but due to the mixed word-of-mouth, the MCU movie has less to worry about. Although Anthony Mackie has been lauded for taking up the mantle of Cap after Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers, the film’s shallow narration is hampering the collections. The film introduced a few new characters, and it will be interesting to see...

'Avengers: Doomsday' Information You Need to Know
Image
Ever since Avengers: Endgame concluded the MCU’sInfinity Saga in 2019, many fans have felt that subsequent films in Marvel's franchise have lacked the same type of cohesive narrative. To make matters worse, the controversy surrounding Jonathan Majors’ personal life spelled clear trouble for Marvel’s future projects involving Kang the Conqueror. Thankfully, Loki managed to end the threat of Kang as the MCU’s next major villain rather well. However, when Disney finally moved on from Majors, and Avengers: The Kang Dynasty was ultimately scrapped, many fans were concerned about the direction Marvel planned to take the MCU in the future. Given they had been laying the groundwork for Kang the Conqueror for quite a while, shifting gears felt like an unprepared afterthought.

That being said, ever since it was announced thatAvengers: Doomsday would be replacing Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Robert Downey Jr. would be playing Dr. Victor von Doom,...

Sorry MCU Fans, But You're Dead Wrong About This Captain America: Brave New World Complaint (& Stan Lee Confirmed It)
Image
Quick LinksWhy Sam Wilson Can Fight Against Red HulkThe Superhero Matchup Debate Has Always Been Ridiculous

Captain America: Brave New Worldis the thirty-fifth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and one of its most impactful yet, helping to flesh out its fictional world more than any other installment post-Avengers: Endgame. It's no secret that the MCU has received swathes of backlash from critics and fans in Phase 4 and Phase 5--and Captain America 4 is no different. Critics were generally mixed on Brave New World, calling out the behind-the-scenes production troubles that resulted in a somewhat messy movie. However, fans have been much warmer to the latest MCU offering, hailing Sam Wilson's character arc among other things.

While fans have generally been kinder to the film than critics, they aren't without their complaints. One major criticism stems from the third-act battle between Captain America and the Red Hulk in Washington D.

Why Fans Are Comparing Harrison Ford’s Red Hulk to US President Donald Trump: Explained
Image
Lately, there hasn’t been one Marvel movie that hasn’t caused some kind of controversy or the other. While the last film, Deadpool & Wolverine, is under the scrutiny of the public for its character Nicepool, thanks to the ongoing feud between Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds versus Justin Baldoni, the recently released Captain America: Brave New World has caused not one, not two, but several controversies.

From its CGI to the inclusion of the Israeli superhero Sabra, played by Israeli actress Shira Haas, the film has caused quite an uproar among Marvel fans. However, the biggest of it, perhaps, is the comparisons between Harrison Ford’s character, Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross, aka Red Hulk, and the current President of the United States, Donald Trump.

'I'm Doing What Bruce [Willis] Said': Samuel L. Jackson Recalls Following Pulp Fiction Co-Star's Advice
Image
Bruce Willis, known for his legendary performance as John McClane in the Die Hard franchise, celebrated his 70th birthday on March 19. Samuel L. Jackson, who co-starred with him in 1994’s Pulp Fiction, 1995’s Die Hard with a Vengeance, 1999’s Unbreakable, and 2019’s Glass, recently recalled some words of wisdom he received from the Sixth Sense star.

"He told me, 'Hopefully you’ll be able to find a character that, when you make bad movies, and they don't make any money, you can always go back to this character everybody loves," Jackson told Vanity Fair. He added that Willis used two popular action stars to prove his point. "He said, '[Arnold Schwarzenegger]'s got Terminator, [Sylvester Stallone's] got Rocky [and] Rambo. I've got John McClane."

Jackson continued to elaborate on the advice from Willis, while referring to his Marvel Cinematic Universe role as the former director of S.H.I.

Loki helps make Spider-Gwen the strongest Spider-Being in the multiverse
Image
It’s unclear if Marvel Comics knew what they were getting itself into when the Spider-Verse was created. Miles Morales ended up starring in his own movies and Spider-Punk became an incredibly popular character, too. And then there’s Spider-Woman, Gwen Stacy. She instantly became a hero who deserved attention from everyone.

It was more than her eye-catching costume; Gwen Stacy was cool. She has a unique sense of humor and uses the detective skills she learned from her father, Captain George Stacy. The latter is another thing that separates her from how the other Spider-People solve problems. If that isn’t enough, she’s a drummer in a band called the Mary Janes. It doesn’t get much cooler than that. Well, it kind of does. Writer Stephanie Phillips made Gwen the most powerful Spider-Person in the multiverse.

During Stephanie Phillips’ current run of Spider-Gwen: The Ghost-Spider, Gwen has...

Daredevil: Born Again Episode 4 Has A Callback To Marvel's Worst Disney+ Series
Image
Warning: This article contains major spoilers for the latest episode of "Daredevil: Born Again."

If there was still any remaining doubt over whether "Daredevil: Born Again" takes place within the familiar confines of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, well, there shouldn't be. There's the main title, after all, which alludes to both a popular comic book series run and the fact that the Netflix series has been "reborn" into the rest of the MCU. Of course, the first two episodes also included multiple references to the overall franchise that established a shared continuity with Marvel characters such as Joe Bernthal's Punisher (duh), Tom Holland's Peter Parker/Spider-Man, and Chris Evans' Steve Rogers. Now, however, the series has gone even further by directly addressing one of the more forgotten aspects of the wider universe -- and it involves, by far, the worst Disney+ series we've had the misfortune of watching.

Let's...
