Following the news that former Wizards of Waverly Place stars Selena Gomez and David Henrie are reprising their roles in a new Disney Channel sequel series, fans of the original show can’t help but wonder which other familiar faces might appear (as if by magic!) in the project.

Tentatively titled Wizards, the new show is a continuation of the original sitcom, which aired from 2007 to 2012. Both Gomez and Henrie are executive-producing, but only Henrie is expected to remain a regular if the pilot is picked up to series, whereas Gomez is only guest-starring in the first episode.

It’s been more than three years since Disney+ decided to scrap its grown-up Lizzie McGuire revival, but if you think we’re done talking about it, you couldn’t be more wrong.

Fortunately, we have some fresh tea to discuss, courtesy of writer Jonathan Hurwitz, who confirmed on TikTok that Lizzie’s reunion with middle school Bff Gordo (Adam Lamberg) wouldn’t exactly go the way some fans hoped.

Jack Hogan, an actor who starred in ABC’s Combat! for 111 episodes, died Dec. 6 of natural causes at his home in Bainbridge Island, Wash. He was 94 years old.

The news was confirmed to Variety by his son West.

Anna “Chicakdee” Cardwell, the oldest daughter of reality TV star June Shannon (aka Mama June) died on Saturday. She was 29 years old.

Shannon confirmed the news of her daughter’s death in a post on Instagram Sunday.

Following the death of Stan Rogow this week, Hilary Duff shared a message of gratitude for the producer “who fought for her” to play the lead in the series Lizzie McGuire. Rogow passed away on December 7 at the age of 75.

“Writing this right now is bringing back so many distant memories of what feels like a completely different lifetime…One where I had absolutely no clue where I was heading or how I was getting there, but where I had that eagerness and blind optimism that accompanies youth and your first opportunities to step up,” she posted to Instagram on Saturday.

She continued, “You heavily cherish the people who first believe and see something in you, and for me, there was a special a very special person who fought for me to land a role that would change the entire course of my life…and I’m so sad to hear of his passing today.

Stan worked on Lizzie McGuire and other projects, including Fame. A representative for his family confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that he sadly passed away on Thursday (December 7) at the age of 75.

Upon hearing the news, Hilary took to social media to reflect on her memories with Stan and to express gratitude for how he impacted her life.

Stan Rogow, a veteran producer for the Hilary Duff-starring Lizzie McGuire series and feature film, and an Emmy nominee for his earlier work on the TV series Fame, has died at 75.

Rogow died Thursday at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, reports indicate. No cause was given.

Born in Brooklyn, Rogow graduated from Boston University School of Law and worked as a lawyer before serving as an executive in charge of production on the 1980 Emmy-winning CBS telefilm Playing for Time, starring Vanessa Redgrave.

After that, he moved to Los Angeles and soon was working with the TV series Fame, for which he shared in a 1982 Emmy nomination. Rogow served as a producer on the pilot of the NBC series.

Rogow also created the 1992 CBS comedy-drama Middle Ages, starring Peter Riegert, and produced other series such as State of Grace, Afterworld and Woke Up Dead.

Stan Rogow, the writer and Emmy-nominated producer who guided the Hilary Duff-starring Lizzie McGuire series and feature that spawned from the Disney Channel hit and partnered with John Sayles on several projects, has died. He was 75.

Rogow died Thursday at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, family spokesperson Scott Fisher told The Hollywood Reporter.

Early in his career, Rogow served as a producer on the pilot of the acclaimed NBC series Fame and shared an Emmy nomination for outstanding drama series in 1982 with William Blinn and two others.

The Brooklyn native was also an exec producer on the 2004-06 Discovery Kids sitcom Darcy’s Wild Life, starring Sara Paxton, and he co-created another show for the network, the 2005-07 adventure series Flight 29 Down, featuring Corbin Bleu.

Get excited “Lizzie McGuire” fans because a reboot series of the much loved Disney Channel teen show has been picked up at Disney Plus.

Lizzie McGuire herself Hilary Duff, who is set to reprise the role, announced the series at Disney Plus’s D23 Expo event. Terri Minsky, who created the original, is also aboard the revival, which he was on hand to promote Friday.

The original “Lizzie McGuire” series ran for two seasons on the Disney Channel from 2001 to 2004. The show helped establish Duff as a household name in the 2000s. It centered around the titular 13-year old who struggled to navigate middle school.

“Lizzie has also grown up, she’s older, she’s wiser, she has a much bigger shoe budget,” Duff said from the stage Friday in Anaheim. She added, “She has her dream job, the perfect life right now working as an apprentice to a fancy New York City decorator.

Sony's Crackle.com announced its fall lineup today and as expected, the Jon Heder lead zombie comedy Woke Up Dead is the headlining web series in the bunch. The online network is known for rolling out new 13-week seasons four times a year, and this new slate has just three new original series in it. The other two newcomers, Groundlings comedy Hardline: Inside the Idaho Sex Cult and Barry Sonnenfeld's The Esquire Digital Man join the weekly returning series Anytime with Bob Kushell, Penn Says and My Long Distance Relationship. London -- British commercial broadcaster ITV shares may be trading around rock bottom, but it's flexing its muscle in the emerging Internet video market, announcing the acquisition of a 10% stake in Web video production studio Electric Farm Entertainment for an undisclosed sum Friday.

Acquired through its U.S. production unit, Granada America, the acquisition gives ITV a foothold in online drama content creation aimed at a youth audience in the mold of such successes as Bebo's "Kate Modern," "PromQueen" and "Quarterlife."

Current Electric Farm Web drama formats include sci-fi show "Gemini Division" and thriller "Woke Up Dead."

Under the deal, Granada America also is expected to explore new Web video content possibilities for its U.S. factual entertainment brands including "Hell's Kitchen," "Nanny 911" and "One More Time."

Santa Monica-based Electric Farm was founded by former Sony Pictures Entertainment co-president Jeff Sagansky and Disney producer Stan Rogow.

"I'm attracted to this company because they are specializing in scripted direct-to-Internet programming that is economically produced but creatively engaging," ITV Global Content head Lee Bartlett said. "These projects have worldwide appeal to audiences and advertisers alike, with the potential to grow on to other platforms including TV."

ITV shares rose 1.3% to 43p (85 cents) on the news.

NBC Universal is taking another stab at bridging the Internet-TV divide.

The company has inked a deal with Stan Rogow, Brent Friedman and Jeff Sagansky's Electric Farm Entertainment for the domestic rights to their upcoming Internet sci-fi series Gemini Division, starring Rosario Dawson.

NBC Uni also has acquired the rights to Electric Farm's next scripted online series, the zombie comedy Woke Up Dead.

Sony Pictures TV International has come aboard to co-produce and distribute the two series internationally on mobile, broadband and traditional TV.

Under the deal with NBC Universal Digital Studio, the 50 three-minute episodes of Gemini and Dead will run on various company Web sites, including NBC.com.

The first several episodes of the series -- as many as eight -- will get a preview across a number of NBC Uni platforms, including TV networks.

"Our vision is to use the TV assets as a marketing device to attract viewers to the Internet series," Rogow said.

Gemini, eyed for a late-summer launch, stars Dawson as a New York cop who uncovers a global conspiracy involving the creation of simulated live forms that have assimilated with the unsuspecting public.

Rosario Dawson is venturing into digital entertainment, partnering with Stan Rogow, Brent Friedman and Jeff Sagansky to produce and star in "The Gemini Division", a live-action/motion-capture animation online sci-fi series.

Dawson also is attached to star in and produce potential TV series, feature film and game versions of "Gemini".

Rogow, Friedman and Sagansky's company, Electric Farm Entertainment, will produce 100 three-minute episodes of "Gemini", which will star Dawson as a New York cop investigating the bizarre murder of her husband and who uncovers a global conspiracy involving the creation of simulated live forms that have assimilated with the unsuspecting public.

Rogow, Friedman and Sagansky, who are producing the project with Dawson, approached the actress with the idea for "Gemini" after she lent her voice to the trio's first Internet series, "Afterworld".

The futuristic 2.5-D-animated "Afterworld" was acquired for international distribution by Sony Pictures Television International, which is launching it globally on mobile, broadband and traditional TV.

Dawson is not a stranger to the sci-fi genre.

To lure more girls to its Saturday morning kids block, NBC is turning to the executive producer behind the rival Walt Disney Co. hit Lizzie McGuire for a new fall series. Discovery Kids on NBC has greenlighted the scripted comedy Darcy's Wild Life from Stan Rogow Prods. to replace the canceled Scout's Safari. The series will be produced in Toronto with Sara Paxton (Sleepover) in the title role, playing a Beverly Hills native who moves to a farm with her mother, an actress. Discovery is looking to build on inroads it has made with young female viewers; the block topped its first-quarter yield in the girls 6-11 demographic by 27% compared with last year and 33% among girls 9-14.

Lizzie McGuire executive producer Stan Rogow has inked a first-look deal with NBC. Under the one-year pact, Rogow will give NBC first crack at all his series ideas.
