Exclusive: Three decades on from her Oscar-winning movie, Emma Thompson is returning to the world of Sense and Sensibility with an Audible Original telling the story of the youngest Dashwood sister and adding a dash of “sexuality and liberation.”

Thompson is producing and leading sequel Becoming Meg Dashwood with an ensemble including Emmy-nominee Erin Doherty (Adolescence), BAFTA-winner Naomi Ackie (Mickey 17), Baby Reindeer star Jessica Gunning, acting legend Imelda Staunton, Liz Carr, Paterson Joseph, Greg Wise and Golda Rosheuvel.

A while back, author Elisa Victoria wrote Mr. Sandman, “a horror adult picture book about a dream monster” that is available for purchase through her website. Now, Victoria has teamed up with Michael Tully, the writer/director of the comedy Ping Pong Summer and the horror thriller Don’t Leave Home, to adapt the story of Mr. Sandman into the screenplay for a horror movie called Eye for an Eye, which stars Whitney Peak (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) and is set to receive a theatrical and VOD release next Friday, June 20th. Veteran music video director Colin Tilley makes the leap into the horror genre with Eye for an Eye, and Bloody Disgusting is exclusively debuting the film’s trailer this afternoon.

Whitney Peak (Hocus Pocus 2) stars in the horror film alongside S. Epatha Merkerson (“Chicago Med”), Golda Rosheuvel (“Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story”), Laken Giles (All the Weekend’s Drama), and Finn Bennett (“True Detective: Night Country”).

HBO’s “Harry Potter” TV series has officially found its Harry, Ron and Hermione.

Dominic McLaughlin will play the role of Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton is Hermione Granger and Alastair Stout is Ron Weasley. More than 30,000 actors auditioned for the lead roles since HBO launched an open casting call last fall. Filming is expected to begin this summer.

Netflix just released a tantalizing teaser for the pivotal masquerade ball scene in the upcoming fourth season of Bridgerton. The one-minute teaser shows Benedict (Luke Thompson), the bachelor at the heart of this season, spotting the mysterious Lady in Silver (played by Yerin Ha) and being instantly taken with her as she stares in wonder at the chandelier.

On Wednesday, Netflix made the news official that Bridgerton has been renewed for an additional two seasons, Seasons 5 and 6, continuing the show well past its previous renewal for Season 4. The news was announced with a letter written by Lady Whistledown touting the exciting update. The letter also encourages fans to prepare for the return of the show in 2026 when Season 4 premieres. Needless to say, it was a very exciting day for Bridgerton fans.

Bridgerton‘s annual Season of Love celebration unleashed new details on the upcoming fourth season, including confirmation that fan favorite Simone Ashley will return as Kate Sharma, Anthony Bridgerton’s wife. The virtual fan celebration included a new teaser for the much-anticipated season that focuses on the relationship between Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) and Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha).

New photos were released from the masquerade ball, which will be featured in episode one. The photos also show new season four cast members Katie Leung as Lady Araminta Gun, Michelle Mao as Rosamund Li, and Isabella Wei as Posy Li.

Showrunner Jess Brownell confirmed season four will include more characters who “run the ton.” Fans will also be treated to much more of the Queen’s right-hand man, Brimsley, played by Hugh Sachs.

The romantic comedy film — now available to stream exclusively in the U.S. on The Roku Channel for free in addition to Roku TVs, devices and TheRokuChannel.com — also stars Sophie Cookson as Minnie Cooper, Golda Rosheuvel as Quinn’s mother Tara, John Hannah as Minnie’s father Keith and Monica Dolan as Minnie’s mother Connie. Author Sophie Cousens adapted her novel, which came out at the end of 2020, into the screenplay for the movie.
