Aew Revolution 2024 was a hell of a show and it ended with the satisfying finale of Sting’s time in the ring. The final stretch of Sting’s career was a wonderful chance to set things right for the legendary wrestler, after the wrestling business had constantly let him down over the years. He was once the ace of WCW, but the incompetence and selfishness of others hurt his legacy in different ways at different promotions. But despite being in his 60s, his three years at Aew allowed him to go out on his own terms.
The Stinger is a beloved icon for a reason. While he did get wrapped up in such unfortunate things as the WCW mini-movies, the Shockmaster, the ill-fated Hulk Hogan match at Starrcade, and a really unfortunate PPV main event involving Jeff Hardy, Sting was still one of WCW’s great highlights and kicked a...

Casalegno will play the teenage version of Joe, Burke’s son. Avildsen will direct based on a script he penned. The film is inspired by 2010’s “The Queen of the Ring: Sex, Muscles, Diamonds, and the Making of an American Legend,” a book by Pulitzer Prize winner Jeff Leen. Match #1: Sammy Guevera def. Konesuke Takeshita
My Thoughts: When Sammy Guevara isn’t messing around with the Jsa or p*ssing off fans with over-the-top affection to his wife Tay Melo on TV he Can actually wrestle. And thankfully that’s what happened here, as Gueara and Takeshita really delivered a great opening match. I wouldn’t have had Takeshita lose, but as other have noted – he probably lost to push the Don Callis angle. Which I guess I can live with, if it means Takeshita gets to the next level in Aew.

An old adage says that history is written by the victors. In the world of professional wrestling, World Wrestling Entertainment emerged from the territory system and the Monday Night Wars as the last major promotion standing (until All Elite Wrestling emerged as true opposition in 2019). With that victory, the company once owned and operated by Vince McMahon dictated the history of the sport as it saw fit.

Several reports have indicated that William Regal is done with WWE, and one source says that the veteran regretted signing on with All Elite Wrestling almost as soon as he arrived. The leader of the Blackpool Combat Club betrayed Jon Moxley at the Full Gear pay-per-view, aiding Mjf by sliding him brass knuckles during the match's finish. Regal had two televised segments following that PPV but was blindsided by The Salt Of The Earth last week on Dynamite. Following the broadcast, speculation began that William and Aew were through, which is allegedly the case.
During a recent episode of The Wrestling Outlaws on YouTube, former WWE star and Tna World Champion EC3 weighed in on Regal's time with Tony Khan's wrestling promotion. "When [Regal] went over to Aew, the word was he said, 'I immediately regret this decision.' There was very much a maturity issue with the management." EC3...
