For those who aren’t ware, the Met Ball is the biggest night in fashion every year and hundreds of stars are expected to walk the red carpet.

Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour has invited many celebs to act as co-chairs for the evening and there’s also a host committee this year that includes 25 more celebs.

The dress code this year is “Tailored for You” to celebrate the new Superfine: Tailoring Black Style exhibit. It’s the first Met Gala to focus on menswear since 2003 and we already have photos from inside the exhibition.

The 62-year-old Golden Globe winner left her hotel as she headed to the Giorgio Armani Prive Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2025 Show with her stylist and close friend Brad Goreski on Tuesday (January 28) in Paris, France.

For the event, Demi wore shimmering structured top with black velvet pants.

The Broadway revival of Gypsy, starring legendary performer Audra McDonald, is officially open!

Broadway besties Lea Michele and Jonathan Groff were among the celebs who led the star-studded red carpet at opening night on Thursday (December 19) at the Majestic Theatre in New York City.

Lea and Jonathan met while working together on the 2006 Broadway show Spring Awakening and have been best friends ever since. For those who don’t know, Lea worked with Audra when she was a child, playing the little girl in the original production of Ragtime back in 1998.

Audra is currently starring alongside Danny Burstein and Joy Woods in the new production of Gypsy, which is playing at the newly reopened Majestic Theatre. The theatre has been dark since The Phantom of the Opera closed back in April 2023.

Cynthia, who is playing Elphaba in the Wicked movie, is serving as host of the annual fashion event.

Biden will be joined by Barack Obama and Bill Clinton for the event, with Stephen Colbert moderating a discussion between the three presidents.

Mindy Kaling will host the event, which has been heavily promoted by the Biden campaign as a key end-of-quarter fundraiser. First Lady Jill Biden also will speak.

The producers of the event are Jordan Roth and Alex Timbers. Jeffrey Katzenberg, Biden campaign co-chair; Rufus Gifford, campaign finance chair; Chris Korge, Biden Victory Fund finance chair; and Anna Wintour spearheaded the event. Another highlight will be a chance for certain attendees to get their photo taken with the three presidents by Annie Leibovitz. NBC News first reported on some of the details of the event.

FX has released the trailer for Part 2 of “American Horror Story: Delicate,” the 12th season of the long-running horror anthology, which was interrupted by the dual strikes last year. Starring Kim Kardashian and Emma Roberts, Part 2 premieres April 3 on the network at 10 p.m. Et/Pt, and will be available to stream the following day on Hulu.

Part 1 introduced audiences to Emma Roberts’ character Anna Victoria Alcott, an actress who is trying to get pregnant but faces sinister occurrences during her journey to motherhood. Kardashian plays her aggressive publicist Siobhan. While the Part 2 trailer shows them kiss, the teaser also reveals that Anna will uncover some dark truths about Siobhan. “You’re a monster,” Roberts says to her in the trailer. “Oh no, babe. I’m so much worse,” Kardashian promises.

The rest of the cast includes Cara Delevigne, Matt Czuchry, Annabelle Dexter-Jones, Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, Maaz Ali and Juliana Canfield.

Scarlett and Ben were lauded for their work on behalf of AIDS, cancer, food, hunger and inclusion. The event featured a performance from Tony winner J. Harrison Ghee and it was directed by actor Erich Bergen.

“For organizations like this, being able to have fundraisers and get people to come out, that is a massive part of their every year annual raise,” Scarlett told Access. “So, if I can do anything to help the organization get more eyeballs, get more volunteers, get more donations, it’s the least I can do.”

Lin-Manuel Miranda is creating a national theater directory designed to increase the number of women, non-binary folks and people of color who work in behind-the-scenes roles.

Set to launch June 8, the Representation, Inclusion, & Support for Employment (Rise) Theatre Directory is meant to serve as a resource for theater producers, directors and other managers across the country and promote the hiring of more underrepresented producers, crew members and theater employees.

The idea was inspired by Ava DuVernay’s Array Crew database, which was created in 2021 to diversify TV and film production crews. Miranda and his family provided seed money for the project and have been closely following its development.

Miranda wanted to do something similar for the theater industry. In writing shows such as In The Heights and Hamilton, Miranda has been able bring more diverse talent on stage, but he wanted to have an impact on the other side of the curtain.

The striking Writers Guild of America denied a request for a waiver to allow for the Tony Awards to air on CBS and stream on Paramount+ on June 11, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

This week, this season’s Tony Awards Management Committee — which is comprised of eight representatives of the Broadway League, including president Charlotte St. Martin and well-known producers Jordan Roth and Scott Sanders, and eight representatives of the American Theater Wing, including president Heather Hitchens — formally petitioned the Writers Guild for such a waiver, noting how much financially struggling Broadway shows depend on exposure from the Tonys telecast for a box office bump. (This season, shows hanging on in hopes of a Tonys bounce include the front-running musicals Some Like It Hot and Kimberly Akimbo and the play Leopoldstadt.)

The management committee has set an emergency meeting for Monday morning to determine the best path forward.

The 76th Tony Awards are scheduled to celebrate the best work of the 2022-23 Broadway season on June 11 — but, The Hollywood Reporter has learned, a number of decisions over the next few days will determine if the ongoing writers strike will force the ceremony, which is supposed to air on CBS and stream on Paramount+, to move forward in a non-televised format or to be postponed.

According to multiple high-level sources, a script for the Tony Awards was completed before the Writers Guild of America declared a strike against the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers, of which CBS and Paramount+ are member companies, on May 2. (The Tony nominations were announced just hours later.) But without a waiver from the Writers Guild granting special dispensation for the show, guild members would almost certainly show up to picket outside the venue: New York’s United Palace theater in Washington Heights.
