While sitcoms are generally judged on their humor, they can also deliver some devastating emotional moments, especially when on-screen couples break up. Many sitcoms focus on romance as a way to provide some gentle, relatable drama, and as an avenue for humor. However, sitcoms which balance humor with heart can end up creating some surprisingly poignant moments as their love stories take twists and turns.
While some sitcom couples are bad ideas from the beginning, there are others which get the audience rooting for them. If a couple has great on-screen chemistry and they complement one another well, it can be heartbreaking to see their relationships fall apart. Some of the most memorable sitcom moments include dramatic breakups, so fans can remember these heartbreaks for years.

Romantic sitcom pairings can be the biggest takeaway from the show's story, but some fictional relationships don't always hit the mark.

There are only a few seasons of TV which boast a perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes, but they're worthy of this honor. Due to the quirks of the Rotten Tomatoes review aggregation system, a single negative review can rob a show of a 100% score. There are many critically-acclaimed seasons of TV that fall short of full marks, and relatively few which have achieved this rare feat over the years.
Some shows have multiple seasons with 100% scores, like The Wire, The Good Place and BoJack Horseman, but these are exceptions to the norm. Most shows can count themselves lucky to have just one season that achieves this level of success. Many great shows have been unable to claim this specific honor, so it's worth celebrating when a show delivers a season of TV that is unanimously praised by critics.

Sometimes, the right TV show can just make you feel better, inside and out. There is no better way to de-stress after a hard day than by curling up on the couch and watching a nice, lighthearted comedy TV show. After all, you don't always need overly dramatic stories, dangerous situations, and thrilling cliffhangers to have a great TV series. All you need in order to make a timeless classic is some lovable characters and some good laughs.
Whether you feel like gabbing with The Golden Girls or taking a ride to Schitt's Creek, these shows are always perfect for lifting your spirits. While they may not always receive the critical acclaim that more dramatic shows get, a lighthearted comedy is sometimes just what the doctor ordered. Because of this, it is important to have a bunch of these nice, warm TV shows as options whenever they are needed. When...

A good romantic subplot often proves to be one of the most compelling parts of any TV show. It can elevate the show from being just entertaining to an unforgettable take on the nuances and variety of love out there. These subplots can give audiences a couple to truly root for and keep them invested in the TV show as they watch the highs and lows of love unfold before their very eyes.
These great romantic subplots add an intriguing dynamic to an already compelling narrative, even when the plotline isn't fully centered around it. Each relationship brings with it something unique, whether it's humor, tragedy, or a combination of both. Whether that's the doomed love of two people on opposing sides of a war, or a 10-season-long slow burn, these TV shows truly knew how to write some of the best romantic subplots in history.

Fans often get their own ideas about which TV couples are supposed to end up together, so it can be a big surprise when things don't turn out the way people anticipated. Some couples who seem perfect for each other just can't figure things out in the end, as the writers have other ideas. This can be disappointing for fans, but there are also some cases where a failed relationship makes way for something even better.
Just as there are some TV couples who should break up for good, there are just as many instances of shows splitting up perfectly good couples. With the benefit of hindsight, fans can decide for themselves whether the characters really got their happy endings, or whether the writers forced them into a conclusion which doesn't quite fit. Even though these TV couples didn't last, they are often more popular than what came next.

The Western genre has long been a touchstone of American popular fiction, with an extensive history of incredible television shows. While the genre has experienced ups and downs in popularity, like an Old West hero, Westerns always triumphantly return, as the genre has continually reinvented itself for each era of television. From family-friendly black-and-white half-hour adventures to modern Neo-Western explorations of social and political tensions, the Western genre has remained relevant throughout television history.
In the same way that the greatest Western films have earned their place as cinematic classics, Western television series have carved out an important place in popular culture. From long-running classics of times gone by, such as Bonanza, right up to modern genre-bending sci-fi Westerns like Westworld, this was a style that always found a way to remain interesting. The aptly titled Tulsa King Season 2 premiere finds Dwight “The General” Manfredi back in the saddle, alright.
He’s fighting for his life, giving advice behind bars, and expanding his business, all while navigating new enemies poised to take action to either scuttle or take over his successful Tulsa operation.
Don’t get me wrong; I know he’ll prevail. What’s the point of a show with Sly Stallone behind bars? But still, Dwight’s got a lot on his plate.
(Brian Douglas/Paramount+) Are The Walls Closing in on Dwight?
Thanks to his arrest, it’s the first time anyone has paid attention to Dwight’s Tulsa presence, making things much harder on The General.
Maybe that’s why he constantly toys with the idea of going legit. It’s got to be hard to thrive with that kind of stress. There is always someone out to get him.

The made-for-tv Wynonna Earp movie “Vengeance” sparked discussion among fans following its release on the streaming service Tubi. The 90-minute special focused on demon hunter Wynonna Earp and her allies battling corruption within the Black Badge organization. However, two significant character deaths caused disagreement among viewers of the long-awaited reunion special.
One death dividing fans was Doc Holliday, played by Tim Rozon since the show’s 2016 debut. In a pivotal shootout scene, Doc gunned down five opponents but suffered a fatal wound. Rozon said he supported the creative choice, feeling Doc “died for the one that means anything to him.” He wanted Doc to go down fighting, which the script provided. Co-star Melanie Scrofano called filming the scene difficult but credited the director’s sensitive handling.
Some fans applauded killing off the beloved Doc for story purposes. Others expressed sadness losing the character. Rozon acknowledged different viewpoints, saying as an...

Three Women premieres September 13 on Starz.
The series highlights some taboo and controversial issues that three distinct women experienced, and it will resonate with audiences.
The issues these three women experienced could have happened to any of us. Their stories needed to be told and heard.
Author and executive producer Lisa Taddeo began this journey by traveling the country for eight years, researching these three women’s stories.
Together, she and the showrunner and executive producer Laura Eason have crafted an in-depth look at female desire through Lina, Maggie, and Sloane’s voices. (Courtesy of Starz)
We talked with them and several of the cast to understand this dramatic series, which we’ve seen almost entirely and can’t say enough fantastic things about.
These women shared some enticing information about the series and what to expect from their characters’ journeys.

“Wynonna Earp” wasn’t going to keep the fans waiting forever for more stories.
The cult series wrapped it’s four-season run back in 2021, and thanks to a small but incredibly mighty fan base that campaigned vocally online, a new 90-minute special is set to air on Sept. 13 on Tubi called “Wynonna Earp: Vengeance.”
Creator Emily Andras told Entertainment Weekly that the show had stories planned for a fifth season but Season 4 was – luckily – written with some closure in mind. Now the special will tie things up once and for all.
“We had been ordered for a season 4 and a season 5, but things were kind of up in the air,” Andras said. “I thought: It’s better to write an ending that is satisfying and if we’re blessed with another season, I can blow it all up. My gamble paid off, for better or for worse.”

Wynonna Earp: Vengeance's trailer teases a charming return to form for fans of the cult-classic series. The Tubi special promises a fresh adventure, though it will also be a continuation of season 4. The cast's chemistry continues to shine, promising both heart and humor to the hotly anticipated reunion.
At San Diego Comic-Con's Wynonna Earp panel, Tubi dropped a first-look trailer for its hotly anticipated Wynonna Earp: Vengeance special, and I couldn't be more thrilled. Unlike other reunions or, as Nicole Haught (Katherine Barrell) puts it in the trailer, "reboots" Wynonna: Earp Vengeance has a story worth telling. At Sdcc, Screen Rant learned that the 90-minute movie of sorts is a self-contained narrative. Even though Earpers like myself who have watched all four seasons will find a ton to love about the special, Vengeance is also more accessible to newcomers.
Despite a dedicated fanbase, Wynonna Earp was axed ahead of its fourth outing.

"History only remembers who won." And only the movies that are good. Tubi has revealed an official trailer for a TV movie spin-off called Wynonna Earp: Vengeance, a 90-min "special event" streaming for free on Tubi later this fall. This is based on the TV series also called Wynonna Earp, which ran from 2016 to 2021 on SyFy Channel. It originally starred Melanie Scrofano as the iconic western outlaw Wyatt Earp's great-great-granddaughter, Wynonna. Armed with her enchanted "Peacemaker" revolver, she battled resurrected spirits of notorious outlaws. In this new film, Wynonna Earp is coming home to battle her greatest foe yet: a psychotic seductress hellbent on revenge against her... and everyone she loves. Melanie Scrofano is back as Wynonna, co-starring with Tim Rozon, Dominique Provost-Chalkley, & Katherine Barrell. Tubi has been churning out tons of movies recently, beefing up their streaming offerings for anyone who wants to watch. This looks extra kooky,...

Several TV shows, like Schitt's Creek, Succession, and Rick and Morty, exceeded expectations to become major hits in popular culture. Schitt's Creek, initially underestimated, steadily built up an audience and swept major awards in its final season, surpassing all expectations. The unpredictability of TV success is evident in shows like The Bear and Baby Reindeer, which gained unexpected popularity and critical acclaim.
Plenty of TV shows in recent years have far exceeded my expectations for how popular they would become. While lots of these shows were favorites of mine that I had hoped would succeed, Ive been continually shocked at just how much particular series have become entrenched in popular culture. In contrast, other high-quality series were doomed to irrelevance. Its always interesting to try and predict which TV shows will become insanely popular. Still, its even more exciting to witness the ones that became way bigger than I ever expected.

Wynonna Earp's season 4 finale provided happy endings for the beloved characters, but there are still questions that the special needs to answer. Doc and Wynonna choose each other and ride off into the sunset, but viewers need to know what they've been up to since season 4. Wayhaught exchanged vows and are committed to staying in Purgatory, but it's unclear if they're completely satisfied with their decision.
Unlike other shows that were canceled unexpectedly, Wynonna Earp didn't end on a massive cliffhanger. For the most part, the cult hit series used its season-four finale to give its beloved characters happy endings. However, there are still questions that the one-off special Wynonna Earp: Vengeance needs to answer. Instead of remaining plot-driven, Wynonna Earp's series finale honed in on its characters, giving most of them a proper sendoff. Of course, in the Ghost River Triangle, happy endings don't equate to idyllic, demon-free lives.

Cult hit Wynonna Earp is making a comeback with a 90-minute Tubi-exclusive special, bringing back the original cast and thrilling fans. The show follows Wynonna, a descendant of Wyatt Earp, who fights reincarnated outlaws with a magic gun and the help of her sister and Doc Holliday. Based on the Idw comic book by Beau Smith, the Syfy series Wynonna Earp was “a fast-paced, contemporary thriller” that followed Wyatt Earp’s great-granddaughter as “she battles demons and other supernatural beings. Wynonna is a witty and wild modern day gunslinger, using her unique abilities and a dysfunctional posse of allies to bring the paranormal to justice.” The show did well, running for four seasons and 49 episodes from 2016 to 2021. Three years later, it’s set to get a 90 minute follow-up special called Wynonna Earp: Vengeance, which will be released through the Tubi streaming service.
Vanity Fair broke the news of the follow-up special, which has been written by the show’s creator and executive producer, Emily Andras. They were also able to confirm that Melanie Scrofano (Wynonna herself), Tim Rozon (Doc Holliday), Dom Provost-Chalkley (Waverly Earp), and Katherine Barrell (Nicole Haught) are all reprising their roles, and “other familiar...

Despite the slew of cancelations of LGBTQ+-centered TV shows in 2023, the upcoming Wynonna Earp special brings hope for more representation. The Wynonna Earp: Vengeance special was commissioned by Tubi and features the return of the beloved LGBTQ+ pairing known as "Wayhaught." Among TV's mishandling of LGBTQ+ inclusion and continued use of damaging tropes, Wynonna Earp stands out as an important and groundbreaking series.
With 2023 resulting in the cancelation of many LGBTQ+-centered TV shows, the newly announced Wynonna Earp special is much-needed good news for both on-screen representation and queer viewers. Based on a comic book series by Beau Smith, Wynonna Earp was developed for TV by Emily Andras (Lost Girl) and became a huge hit across its four seasons. While the Western horror series wrapped in 2021, over-the-top content platform and streaming service Tubi has commissioned a one-off special: Wynonna Earp: Vengeance. Undoubtedly, news of the 90-minute special gives Earpers many reasons to rejoice.
