Most shows can count themselves lucky to have just one season that achieves this level of success. Many great shows have been unable to claim this specific honor, so it's worth celebrating when a show delivers a season of TV that is unanimously praised by critics.

Wynonna Earp is finally returning home to Purgatory, three years after going on the road to battle her most dangerous villain yet. Three years after ending its run on Syfy, the supernatural Western action-adventure series is returning with a sequel to most of the original cast and a new and exciting villain. Directed by Paolo Barzman, from a screenplay co-written by Emily Andras and Beau Smith, and while for all intents and purposes, it is a standalone film, there are some talks of rebooting the series.

Wynonna Earp: Vengeance follows the story of Wynonna as she is continues her work on the road with the help of Doc Holliday but she soon has to return to Purgatory after getting an ominous call to fight against a psychotic seductress who is out for revenge against Wynonna and everyone she loves.

The aptly titled Tulsa King Season 2 premiere finds Dwight “The General” Manfredi back in the saddle, alright.

He’s fighting for his life, giving advice behind bars, and expanding his business, all while navigating new enemies poised to take action to either scuttle or take over his successful Tulsa operation.

Don’t get me wrong; I know he’ll prevail. What’s the point of a show with Sly Stallone behind bars? But still, Dwight’s got a lot on his plate.

The made-for-tv Wynonna Earp movie “Vengeance” sparked discussion among fans following its release on the streaming service Tubi. The 90-minute special focused on demon hunter Wynonna Earp and her allies battling corruption within the Black Badge organization. However, two significant character deaths caused disagreement among viewers of the long-awaited reunion special.

One death dividing fans was Doc Holliday, played by Tim Rozon since the show’s 2016 debut. In a pivotal shootout scene, Doc gunned down five opponents but suffered a fatal wound. Rozon said he supported the creative choice, feeling Doc “died for the one that means anything to him.” He wanted Doc to go down fighting, which the script provided. Co-star Melanie Scrofano called filming the scene difficult but credited the director’s sensitive handling.

What inspired you to get into podcasting, and why this concept? I find it very fascinating!

Wynonna Earp series creator Emily Andras revisits Wynonna, Doc, Waverly, and Nicole’s world in Wynonna Earp: Vengeance. The follow-up film to the crazily addictive series checks in on the lives of all the key players after giving them their happy endings in the season four finale.

#Earpers remain just as dedicated to the series now as they were three years ago when the finale aired. No one wanted to say goodbye then, and social media was flooded with fans thrilled to see where Andras is going to take the story when Vengeance was announced.

Since 2012, the V/H/S franchise has been consistently delivering smart, scary thrills and developing a growing following among horror fans.

But the anthology format enables the V/H/S folks to keep things freshly frightening year after year.

“Wynonna Earp” wasn’t going to keep the fans waiting forever for more stories.

The cult series wrapped it’s four-season run back in 2021, and thanks to a small but incredibly mighty fan base that campaigned vocally online, a new 90-minute special is set to air on Sept. 13 on Tubi called “Wynonna Earp: Vengeance.”

Creator Emily Andras told Entertainment Weekly that the show had stories planned for a fifth season but Season 4 was – luckily – written with some closure in mind. Now the special will tie things up once and for all.

While lots of these shows were favorites of mine that I had hoped would succeed, Ive been continually shocked at just how much particular series have become entrenched in popular culture. In contrast, other high-quality series were doomed to irrelevance. Its always interesting to try and predict which TV shows will become insanely popular. Still, its even more exciting to witness the ones that became way bigger than I ever expected.

Shows like Sex Education take unique looks at the teenage experience. Sex Education features frank discussions of sexuality and adolescence that other series try to emulate. Shows like Sex Education range from '90s classics like Freaks and Geeks to modern miniseries like Looking for Alaska.

While many fans were sad to see the series end, there are several series like Sex Education that they can watch. Sex Education is a brilliant and hilarious dive into what it means to be a young person struggling with the realities of their budding sexuality. The show follows Otis and Maeve as they work to set up a healthy environment for their peers to discuss the complexities of relationships and address any questions that they may have. Even with the wild premise, there are shows like Sex Education that deliver a similar tone on the same subjects.

The NBCUniversal-owned cable network has renewed horror drama SurralEstate for a third season while also setting return dates for Chucky, Reginald the Vampire and The Ark.

The second half of Chucky season three will return April 10 at 10 p.m. The first half of season three was the most-watched season of any USA/Syfy series since 2021 in the advertiser-coveted adults 18-49 demo with 971,000 viewers. Zackary Arthur stars, with Brad Dourif reprising his voice role as the doll from hell. Jennifer Tilly also reprises her role from the films.
