Nuestro Studios, a division of Nuestro Stories, announced today the worldwide debut of the historical fiction podcast series Bistec, a universal, cautionary story of faith, patriotic fanaticism, and surveillance in Dystopian Cuba.

The eight-part limited series is launching with two episodes per week on Mondays in English and Spanish and is now available on all major podcast platforms, including YouTube in Spanish, and English, iTunes, Spotify, Audible and more. “World of Dance” ended it second season on Wednesday night, September 12, by crowning the winner of the World Final (Spoiler Alert). When all was said and done the young hip-hop crew The Lab edged out Michael Dameski, S-Rank, and Charity and Andres for the million-dollar grand prize. And it’s a testament to the power of second chances. The Lab previously competed on the show in season one, but they were eliminated during the Cut. The “World of Dance” Duels continued for the third week on Wednesday night, August 8, but were the results as dramatic as they have been for the last two weeks? Follow along with our live blog below for all the minute-by-minute developments as they happen.

The first week of the Duels ended with an upset: first-season runner-up and fan-favorite Eva Igo was eliminated after the Junior Division duo of Avery and Marcus unexpectedly outscored her in their head-to-head match-up. That demonstrated just how much more intense the competition has gotten just from one season to the next. So all of this year’s competitors need to stay on their toes — literally.

The second week of Duels ended with a bang too. It wasn’t a surprise victory, but there was a historic score. Junior Division duo Charity and Andres set the standard for all other teams — and for themselves going forward...

“World of Dance” aired its second week of Duels on Wednesday night, August 1, and after the end of the first two-hour Duels episode on July 25 we were ready for anything. So far three acts have moved on to the Cut round in the Upper Division (age 18 and over with up to four members): Karen y Ricardo (who defeated Luka and Jenalyn), BDash and Konkrete (who defeated Pasha and Daniella) and Michael Dameski (who defeated Angyil).

Two Junior Teams also advanced to the next round: Expressenz (who defeated The Untouchables) and The Fabulous Sisters (who defeated Rascals).

There are more Duels tonight on “World of Dance,” and it’s all just a little bit of history repeating. The show has released a sneak peek of the face-off between Junior Division contemporary dancer Vivian Ruiz and dynamic duo Charity and Andres. Sound familiar? It’s a lot like last week when Junior Division contemporary dancer Eva Igo faced dynamic duo Avery and Marcus. That Duel ended in an upset, but what about this one? Her “move of the week” is an especially acrobatic maneuver in which she does a spin while raising one leg over her head and threading the other arm through it. She slows it down to show viewers how we can do it ourselves, and it’s kind of her if she thinks a significant portion of the viewing audience has the training or flexibility to pull it off. I might literally pull my leg right off if I dared to try it.

Hell hath no fury like a dancer scorned. 16-year-old contemporary dancer Vivian Ruiz performed on “World of Dance” during “The Qualifiers 6” shortly after suffering a heartbreak. Her boyfriend broke up with her via text message, and “two days later I saw him post a picture on Instagram with another girl — also a dancer.” Ouch.

Ruiz’s performance was inspired by that breakup, but how did this emotional routine compare to one of “World of Dance’s” breakout stars, fellow Junior Division contemporary dancer Eva Igo? She was last year’s runner-up and has returned to the show for season two, which gives Ruiz a lot to live up to.
