Billy McFarland Sells Fyre Festival Brand on Ebay for $245,300
Image
The long, pathetic, sordid, criminal saga of Billy McFarland and the Fyre Festival came to an ignominious end Tuesday afternoon at precisely 12:44:11 pm Est when the convicted fraudster unloaded the brand and all trademarks related to the ill-fated musical festival on eBay for $245,300.

McFarland still owes $26 million in restitution related to his wire fraud conviction, so he’s going to have to keep scrounging around to raise the remaining $25,754,700.

For those of you with no memory of 2017 and somehow missed Hulu’s Fyre Fraud and Netflix’s Fyre: The Greatest Party That Never Happened...

How To Watch The Fast And Furious Movies In Order
Image
When it comes to the "Fast & Furious" franchise, real fans know it isn't about the cars, the money, the action, or the story -- it's about family. But, y'know, also all those other things too. In fact, "Fast & Furious" is so concerned with its overarching narrative that it haphazardly constructed a twisted timeline that's hard for newcomers to process. Starting in 2001, the films were released in this order:

"The Fast and the Furious"

"2 Fast 2 Furious"

"The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift"

"Fast & Furious"

"Fast Five"

"Fast and Furious 6"

"Furious 7"

"The Fate of the Furious"

"Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw"

"F9"

"Fast X"

The "Fast & Furious" movies can absolutely be watched, understood, and enjoyed in this order if the viewer relents to the franchise's reckless pace and internal logic. Having said that, there is an alternate viewing order we'll discuss later that...

A Year Later, No One Can Get Over the Kendrick and Drake Beef
Image
One year ago this week, Kendrick Lamar and Drake engaged in a monumental rapid-fire rap beef, trading scathing diss songs like “Euphoria” and “Family Matters” back-to-back, sometimes in a matter of minutes. On the night of May 3, fans couldn’t even absorb the potency of Drake’s “Family Matters” before Lamar dropped the even more scathing “Meet the Grahams” 24 minutes later. The two rap icons had been in a cold war for years, but social media started buzzing once their subliminals turned into headline-worthy accusations of assault, infidelity, and hidden children.

Fyre Festival To Be Turned Into Music Streaming Service With IP Deal
Image
Exclusive: The Fyre Festival, the infamous music event founded by Billy McFarland and Ja Rule that was explored in two separate documentaries, is getting a new life as a music streaming service.

Deadline understands that Shawn Rech, who co-founded the TruBlue streaming service with former To Catch a Predator host Chris Hansen, has acquired some of the IP of the event including two trademarks that will allow him to launch the service.

The deal comes shortly after it emerged that the second iteration of the festival, which was set to take place in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, was postponed indefinitely.

“Music networks are all just programming now and I have no interest in watching people slip on bananas. It has nothing to do with music. I needed a big name that people would remember, even if it’s attached to infamy, so that’s why I bought these [trademarks] to start the streaming network,...

Billy McFarland Responds to Claims that Fyre Festival 2 Isn't Happening: 'Simply Inaccurate'
Image
Billy McFarland, the force behind the ill-fated 2017 Fyre Festival, is responding to claims that Fyre Festival 2 isn’t happening.

Billy first announced plans for a second Fyre Festival back in 2023, which was originally slated to take place in the Caribbean in 2024. Now, it is apparently going to take place in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, from May 30 to June 2, 2025.

However, on April 2, Playa del Carmen’s City Hall denied the existence of the festival.

“Regarding the information that has begun to circulate about a supposed event called ‘Fyre 2, the municipal government of Playa del Carmen informs that no event of that name will be held in our city,” its Facebook page read, translated from Spanish.

Keep reading to find out more…

However, on Friday (April 4), Billy responded to the claim via Instagram.

“Fyre has been working directly with the government of Playa del Carmen (Pdc) and their officials since March 5, 2025 to...

Image

Over the years, celebrity lawsuits have made just as many headlines as their biggest hits. From contract disputes to defamation cases, legal battles have become a part of the entertainment world.

Some of the most shocking cases have even shaped movements, like how the Harvey Weinstein scandal gave a powerful push to the #MeToo movement, changing Hollywood forever. Others have been so dramatic that they’ve inspired documentaries, books, and TV series, keeping the public hooked on every twist and turn.

“He turned down a half a million dollars”: Ludacris Only Got His Fast & Furious Role Because 50 Cent’s Biggest Rival After Diddy “Got too big for himself”
Image
Despite being one of the most profitable franchises in Hollywood, Fast & Furious continues to be a regular subject of tabloid headlines for its ridiculous scandals and controversies. One of the biggest headline-grabbers has been the feud between co-stars Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson, which muddied the waters and made for an entertaining public spectacle until the latter’s return in 2023.

However, before the aforementioned feud between Diesel and The Rock or Tyrese Gibson’s accusations of colorism in Hollywood, a behind-the-scenes incident led to Fast & Furious getting one of its funniest and most beloved characters in the form of Ludacris.

Jimmy Kimmel Is Surprised Fyre Festival Creator Billy McFarland Isn’t ‘Part of the Trump Administration’ | Video
Image
Jimmy Kimmel has an idea for a new White House appointee Donald Trump may be interested in: Fyre Festival creator Billy McFarland.

“He did four years for wire fraud, for bank fraud and making false statements to law enforcement. How he’s not part of the Trump administration already, I have no idea,” Kimmel said on Tuesday night. “He’d fit right in. The whole country is a Fyre Festival right now, and Elon Musk is just soaking the mattresses.”

The Fyre Festival disaster may be one of the greatest national moments of 2017. Advertised as a luxury music festival, Fyre Festival promised attendees would see big acts like Tyga, blink-182 and Migos all from the comfort of a high-end resort on an island formerly owned by Pablo Escobar. Instead, festival-goers paid upwards of $12,000 to be given literal bread and cheese, scrounge for bottled water and fight over the event’s three showers.

The Late Irv Gotti Personified the Highs and Lows of Genius
Image
The loss of Irv Gotti, who died last week at the age of 54, is immense. The Hollis, Queens native was a relic from an era when being a hip-hop multi-hyphenate wasn’t about diversifying your portfolio but a passion for hip-hop culture. In his time, he was a DJ, an A&R credited with saving Def Jam Records by helping sign Jay-Z and Dmx, a producer who crafted a signature, multi-platinum sound, and a label head for Murder Inc., which sold over 30 million albums from artists like Ja Rule and Ashanti.

50 Cent Shocks Fans With Insensitive Reaction To Producer Irv Gotti’s Death
Image
Legendary music producer Irv Gotti (born Irving Lorenzo Jr.) died on Feb. 5 at the age of 54.

Many fellow musicians have taken to social media to pay their respects to the artist. While most tributes are warm, Gotti’s longtime rival, 50 Cent, decided to use the death to virtually “end” the two’s feud.

Gotti and 50 Cent (born Curtis James Jackson III) had a public feud for 25 years. In 1999, artist Ja Rule (also signed to Gotti’s label Murder Inc. Label at the time) accused one of 50 Cent’s associates of robbing him in Queens. 50 Cent then released his song “Your Life’s on the Line,” which directly criticized Gotti and Ja Rule.

A year later, at New York’s Hit Factory Studio, Ja Rule and 50 Cent had an altercation, which led to rapper Black Child stabbing 50 Cent, allegedly in self-defense. After 50 Cent was shot nine times in 2000, a 2005 federal...

How Does Mike Tyson Know the Man Who Shot 50 Cent 9 Times and Almost Killed Him?
Image
It was one of the toughest times of the rapper 50 Cent’s life when he was shot nine times and left for the dead back in 2000. His injuries were horrific and deadly, which nearly cost him his life if he hadn’t been given prompt medical attention. While he has come a long way from that dreadful day, his past continues to make headlines.

What many don’t know is that apparently 50 Cent’s shooter has links to one of the most prolific boxers of all time, Mike Tyson. Tyson not only called the shooter his friend but also once dedicated a fight after him.

Rapper and hip-hop world troll Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson took a moment to acknowledge the death of producer Irv Gotti this week by throwing one last bit of shade at the Murder Inc founder on Instagram, where he posted a photo suggesting he was smoking the late mogul’s ashes.

Most famously, his beef with rapper 50 Cent has been brewing for years. Although many would have thought that by now they would be on their way to finally make up. Gotti’s words years before his death prove otherwise.

In fact, 50 Cent’s Instagram post after Irv Gotti’s passing, too, has raised some eyebrows. Although the old clip only made its way back into the spotlight due to Cent’s recent feud with Big Meech, it’s a disheartening look back all the same.
