As the likes of All Elite Wrestling and World Wrestling Entertainment have become fully fledged entertainment brands, rather than just wrestling promotions, it's become more common to see the in-ring performers make the jump to Hollywood -- and no, not those awful movies like "The Chaperone," "The Marine 6: Close Quarters," or any of Hulk Hogan's questionable straight-to-video offerings. You only need to look at how Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns were cast in major roles as Guile and Akuma respectively in Kitao Sakurai's "Street Fighter" reboot movie. In the past, they may have been credited as Thug #1 and Thug #2 in some random action scene.
Considering how wacky the world of pro wrestling is, it's no surprise to see it cross over much more with comic book movies and TV shows. After all, pro wrestlers are simply superheroes in skimpier tights and with their own catchphrases -- and...

David Dastmalchian, star of Late Night With The Devil, has been announced as the Street Fighter film’s primary antagonist, M Bison.
Late Night With The Devil star David Dastmalchian has been unveiled as the arch villain in Legendary’s planned adaptation of Capcom’s Street Fighter videogame series. Fallout's Walton Goggins was previously said to be in negotiations for the role around a month ago, that hasn’t come to pass. Instead – thanks Deadline – it will be Dastmalchian who (presumably) dons the scarlet outfit of M Bison.
M Bison, the Street Fighter series’ big bad, is the kind of sneering villain who rocks a cloak and shoulder pads so you know he’s the final boss to end all final bosses. M Bison, the Street Fighter series’ big bad, is the kind of sneering villain who rocks a cloak and shoulder pads so you know he’s the final boss to end all final bosses. Nothing says ‘fascism’ like the combination of cloak, shoulder pads and a peaked military hat. And as the terrifying head of the criminal organisation known as Shadaloo,...

The Street Fighter roster is filling up fast, and they've found some interesting names to bring these iconic video game characters to life. Street Fighter was one of the most popular fighting video games of the 1990s, alongside Mortal Kombat. With Mortal Kombat getting a new film series at Warner Bros., it was only a matter of time until Street Fighter got the same reboot treatment. Sony Pictures and Legendary Entertainment seem to be fast-tracking the film, as casting news is coming at us faster than several high-speed punches delivered to the face.
