Cheryl Burke Hated 'Dancing' With Ian Ziering But Apologizes for Suicide Reference
Former "Dancing With the Stars" pro dancer Cheryl Burke doesn't seem to be sorry for saying that "90210" alum Ian Ziering was her least favorite partner. However, she's sorry that she used the phrase "slit my wrists" to describe just how much she could not stand him.

Burke is going to be on the podcast "Allegedly" with Theo Von and Matt Weiss, and an excerpt was shared with TMZ, then across the web. People covered it with the headline "Cheryl Burke Says Ian Ziering Was Her 'Least Favorite' Partner on DWTS: 'Made Me Want to Slit My Wrists'"

In the podcast, Burke said working with Ziering on DWTS Season 4 in 2007 "made me want to slit my wrists." She added, "The fact that his name's not [pronounced] 'Eee-an' and it's 'Eye-an' makes me want to throw up." The hosts noted that Ziering seemed "very intense" during his later stint on "The Celebrity Apprentice.

Heather’s Favorite Doomed Romances from the 1980s
I love a heartwarming, feel-good romance story just as much as the next person, but sometimes, it’s those doomed cinematic relationships that tend to stick with you the most. One of the more interesting ill-fated couples I recently encountered was Rob (Cian Barry) and Holly (Abigail Hardingham) from Nina Forever. The new couple must endure the looming presence of Rob’s ex-girlfriend, Nina (Fiona O’Shaughnessy), who died recently in a car accident and happens to show up anytime they become intimate.

The pitch-black comedy touches on a lot of the complications that come with modern relationships and all the proverbial baggage we endure as a result of our previous romantic entanglements. It really struck me throughout the story just how well directors Ben and Chris Blaine perfectly explore those themes in Nina Forever, making me realize that some of my very favorite movie love affairs, particularly from the 1980s,...

Intimidating Hollywood Sharks That Haunted Our Dreams Long Before Sharknado
With a nightmarish take on extreme weather, last year’s Sharknado got our vote for best shark movie of all-time. With its sequel — creatively titled Sharknado 2: The Second One — premiering tonight, it’s time to look at the scariest sharks to roam the streets of Hollywood.

In movie world, the second installment typically means whatever preexisting villain there is will be back, and badder than ever. For stars Ian Ziering and Tara Reid, this means the freak hurricane that rocked the West Coast, causing sharks to wind up on land has moved east to New York City. But is the sharknado that aims to destroy all of midtown Manhattan the most intimidating fish ever, or simply a monster that wants to share a Peach Pit burger with Steve Sanders? Before you tune in, check out of list of pop culture sharks much more intimidating than the monstrosity set to terrorize your television screens.

Vulture Festival: Watch Adam Scott Discuss the Lost 90210 Edition of Greatest Event
Brian Austin Green
It was the greatest reveal at the Greatest Panel in Television History: Adam Scott and pals nearly re-created the amazing opening credits sequence of Beverly Hills 90210 as the third installment of the Adult Swim series The Greatest Event in Television History. Joined on stage by his wife and producing partner Naomi Scott, the Parks and Recreation star told Vulture’s Denise Martin that the project had gotten far enough along that casting had even begun. Rob Lowe had agreed to play the Jason Priestley character Brandon Walsh, and we would have also gotten to see Elizabeth Banks as Jennie Garth’s Kelly Taylor, Jon Hamm as Luke Perry’s Dylan McKay, Chris Pratt as Ian Ziering’s Steve Sanders, and Brian Austin Green reprising his role as Brian Austin Green’s David Silver. Sadly, coordinating the schedules of so many cast members turned out to be a logistical nightmare, according to Adam Scott.

Anderson Cooper Fleshes Out the Secret Ian Ziering-Chris Farley Connection (Video)
Ian Ziering
What do Ian Ziering and Chris Farley have in common, besides being dashing icons of the 1990s, easily one of the 14 best decades of the past century? They also have a connection to the cherished male dance troupe Chippendales. Also read: ‘Sharknado’ Meets ‘Twilight’: Syfy Announces Latest Winning-Ass Original Movie CNN newsman stripped away the B.S. and connected the dots on Thursday night’s edition of his “The RidicuList” segment, exposing the fact that Ziering — best known as the aggressively bland Steve Sanders on “Beverly Hills, 90210″ — and deceased “Saturday Night Live” funnyman Farley are more alike than meets.

'Satan Claus' (1996) Review
Reviewed by Chris Wright, MoreHorror.com

Directed By: Masssimiliano Cerchi

Written By: Simonetta Mostarda

Starring: Robert Cummins (Satan Claus), Jodie Rafty (Sandra Logan), Robert Hector (Steve Sanders), Barie Snider, Lauretta Ali (Maman), Daisy Vel (Lt. Lisa Red), John Romanelli (Sergeant Todd Miller), Roy Ashton (Ken), Cyrstal Herold (Sharon), Taylor Kristiansen (TV Reporter), Mark Courtein (Hooligan), Mark Greenfield (Homeless Man), Nick Van Eeden (Jeff Molansky), Christine Taylor (Victim #1), Jimmy Stanford Hoffman (Victim #2)

I went in to “Satan Claus” with rather low expectations. It turns out my low expectations were higher than they should have been! This is by far one of the worst Christmas themed horror movies I have ever feasted my eyes on. I wanted to jab a red hot poker through my eyes watching this travesty of a horror movie. The person who wrote it doesn’t have any other credits to the persons name other than this movie.

Stupid Questions with 'Sharknado' Screenwriter Thunder Levin
Syfy's "Sharknado" took the world by storm (by sharknado?) last month when it debuted on an otherwise nondescript Thursday night. In particular, logging into Twitter turned into its own sharknado of sorts, with rapid-fire tweets encompassing the simultaneous bewilderment, fascination and amusement of viewers of the movie from around the world.

Despite its unexpected phenomena, the film's humble writer, Thunder Levin, remains mostly out of the spotlight, though the fact that a sequel is already in production (supposedly taking place in New York City as opposed to the original film's Los Angeles) may just change that.

Levin spoke to NextMovie this week about Al Gore, the revelation that is Ian Ziering and Obama's lack of preparedness in the event of an actual sharknado attack.

Congrats on the movie. It's a phenomenon.

It's gotten completely out of control. It's actually very surreal. I mean, whoever could have expected this little SyFy...

'Sharknado's' Ian Ziering: 'Maybe This Is My Pulp Fiction Moment'
Sharknado (2013)
The most viral scene in Sharknado, the breakout SyFy movie about tornado-tossed killer sharks wreaking havoc on land, involves Ian Ziering escaping from inside the belly of a shark with a chainsaw. (If you like laughing and being totally grossed out at the same time, the gory footage can be viewed at the bottom of this post.) Sharknado Was Way Better Than These 10 Classic Silly Shark Movies
Last night, Ian Ziering and Tara Reid swam back into our hearts when they starred in SyFy’s “so bad it’s so good” thriller, Sharknado.

While some might believe the film to be a load of unrealistic trash, we at VH1 think it’s a masterpiece. We believe in this so much that we are willing to explain why Sharknado is better than the top 10 best silly shark movies of all time–thereby making it the best shark movie of all time.

That’s right. Sharknado reigns supreme because it has a scene where Ian Ziering destroys a shark by leaping inside the shark with a chainsaw and sawing it in half.

If only Steven Spielberg had thought of arming Steve Sanders with a chainsaw against a great white shark in Jaws, it would be the undisputed masterpiece of shark cinema…

'Sharknado' live blog: Syfy's ultimate nature-disaster movie
"Sharknado" may represent the pinnacle of the nature-disaster movie genre. There are sharks. There are tornados. Both seem intent to rain death and destruction down upon '90s-era stars like Ian Ziering and Tara Reid.

Where can the Syfy Original Movie franchise go after this?

That's not the concern of this blog. Instead, this bit of important writing will focus on the minutiae of "Sharknado," chronicling one person's experience as this seminal film plays out. Please, follow along. There may never be another event like this.

Here begins the live blog

Even before the opening credits role, we get to see a tornado -- more accurately, a waterspout -- suck up sharks "20 miles off the coast of Mexico."

Somewhere nearby, Captain Santiago negotiates with a very serious Asian man while drinking tea or coffee or something. They might be talking about fish. Santiago wants a million. He gets it by flashing a gun.

Ian Ziering Lures Shannen Doherty & Jennie Garth to Chippendales Stage
Christer Lindarw
Even a night at the Peach Pit After Dark wouldn't be able to top this. Shannen Doherty, 42, and Jennie Garth, 41, jetted off to Sin City to catch their former Beverly Hills, 90210 costar Ian Ziering as a Chippendales dancer at Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino. "Chippendales is a very interactive show and we managed to surprise them both by including them on stage in a few production numbers," Ziering tells People. "I was very flattered by their comments. And judging by their reaction, I know they had a great time." The actresses, who were small-screen besties in the '90s, couldn't...

Shirtless Ian Ziering Celebrates With a 90210 Reunion
Shannen Doherty at an event for Race to Witch Mountain (2009)
Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth had a special reunion with their former 90210 castmate Ian Ziering in Las Vegas last night. The two ladies jetted out to Sin City to watch Ian close out his four-week guest appearance for Chippendales at the Rio Las Vegas Hotel and Casino. On the carpet, the trio posed for pictures and at one point could not contain their laughter as they adjusted Ian's bow tie while he showed off his shirtless body. Ian, who played Steve Sanders on the '90s hit show alongside Shannen and Jennie, made his Chippendales debut early last month after a 25-pound weight-loss transformation. His old friends came out to support his success and snapped pictures backstage before he took the stage for his final performance. Both ladies also took to their Instagram accounts to share personal pictures with other shirtless dancers, and Jennie summed up the night with the caption,...

"Beverly Hills, 90210" stars Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth hung out this weekend, but it wasn't at the Peach Pit. They were in Las Vegas, to see Steve Sanders Ian Ziering perform as a Chippendales dancer at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino.

"Look out Vegas," Garth captioned an Instagram photo of herself and Doherty en route to Sin City on Sunday.

Garth, 41, and Doherty, 42, weren't always said to be the best of friends, but in a 2012 interview with The Huffington Post, Doherty explained how she was able to mend fences with her onetime rival.

"Jennie and I reconnected on the new '90210' and, through that process, we were able to sort of talk and work out what our issues were with each other in the past, and look at each other and go, 'Ok, wow... I get where you were coming from.' And she got where I was coming from back then,...

Hawaii Five-0 Review: Bang Stick
Is there any kind of ancient philosophical concept that describes the state of finding a TV episode to be convoluted as all get-out, but also supremely entertaining?

Because if there is, I would like to use it to describe my experience watching "Hoa Pili (Close Friend)." No? Nothing? Maybe there's a phrase in French. They're good with that stuff. Look it up and get back to me.

Despite a confusing middle section (which led me to fill a notebook page with sentence fragments like "wait which fisherman whaaa"), "Hoa Pili (Close Friend)" was a fun, dynamic cartoon, complete with a shark that kinda looked like Bruce from Finding Nemo and an actual cargo container dropped on someone's head, Wile E. Coyote style.

It's rare that an episode's weakest asset is its actual plot, but that was the case tonight - every moment that wasn't devoted to moving the main story forward,...

Hilary Swank: TV movies 'Dying to Belong' and 'Terror in the Family' were 'like my acting class'
Hilary Swank is pleased that cable TV continues to give her movies such strong afterlives.

This month alone, the Cinemax channels are running both of the dramas that earned her Academy Awards for best actress -- "Boys Don't Cry" and "Million Dollar Baby" -- and also are featuring her as part of the huge ensemble cast of the comedy "New Year's Eve."

And that's hardly all: Swank also is evident in March showings of "Freedom Writers" (which she also executive-produced) on MTV, "The Core" on IFC, "The Next Karate Kid" on Encore Family, and her pre-Oscars TV movie "Terror in the Family" on The Movie Channel Extra.

"I appreciate all the opportunities I've had," Swank tells Zap2it, "from my early television work until now. Some of that television work might not be the most astute material, but they were great chances for me to grow and to learn as an actor.

Hawaii Five-0 Review: ...Or Die Trying
After a strong mid-season return last week, "Olelo Ho'opa'i Make (Death Sentence)" veered all over the place - one moment, impressing with gorgeous fight choreography and action movie-level production values; and the next, presenting the least plausible prison riot that I have ever seen in my TV-watching life.

Throw in some unreleased Jimi Hendrix songs, and, yes, it was a lot to process. But ultimately, it did satisfy... even if there was enough discussion of Spam for it to officially count as a subplot.

Why did Frank Delano's brother kidnap Chin and stick him in a prison, instead of just taking him out behind the barn and shooting him? I don't know; why do super-villains slowly dip secret agents into enormous vats of acid instead of just taking them out behind the barn and shooting them? Because it looks cooler, and it's more fun!

This episode was Hawaii Five-0 at its action movie-est,...

Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen (2009)
Tori Spelling Plays 'Marry, Shag, Kill' With '90210' Characters
Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen (2009)
It's fun watching the guests cringe when Andy Cohen announces that it's time to play "Plead the Fifth" on "Watch What Happens: Live" (Weeknights, 11 p.m. Et on Bravo). Tori Spelling winced a little when he asked her which room in her house people might be surprised to find out she'd had sex in.

"I'm gonna say a bathroom," she said. But she didn't specify which bathroom, so any future guests to stately Spelling-McDermott manor might want to keep that in mind when asking to use the facilities.

His next question really put her on the spot. It was "Marry, Shag, Kill" with three of the characters from "Beverly Hills, 90210." Which would she marry, which would she shag and which would she kill of Brandon Walsh, Dylan McKay and Steve Sanders.

Spelling made it very clear that this was about the characters and not the actors who played them before answering.

Five Best Moments From 'DWTS' "Popular Film Scores"
Thank you, Dancing with the Stars. The show's two hour episode Monday night didn't feel like two hours and that's a victory within itself. The show was great and that was mainly because of its "Popular Film Scores" theme.

It only took four weeks to do so, but the contestants are finally getting a bit more competitive. Everyone was stressed during rehearsals and that's because its finally to the point where anyone can go home. Here's the top five moments of last night's show. Only a few more hours to see who gets the boot!

Check out the recap here!

1. Cher was there. Cher! Forget the Kardashian clan, Dr. Phil, Donny Osmond and Steve Sanders from Beverly Hills 90210. Cher and Chaz's step-mother, Mary Bono, the wife to the late Sonny Bono, were there to support Chaz in his Rocky number and it didn't go unnoticed. It took Cher until the...

Ian Ziering And His Baby Girl Make Our Ovaries Hurt
How insanely adorable is this picture? Ian Ziering took his five month old baby girl Mia out for a stroll in Beverly Hills, California. They popped into a medical building and left soon after and Ian made sure he had Mia right by him at every moment. There’s something about dads and baby carriers that is just so cute. Pity we can’t see more of his daughter’s face, but the whole image still just makes us go “awww”. Steve Sanders sure grew up alright!

Cary Grant: Jennifer Grant embraces TCM salute to movie-legend father
Jennifer Grant will be watching Sunday (Aug. 21) as her screen-legend father inhabits Turner Classic Movies for 24 hours straight.

Still widely considered one of the most singular of all film stars, Cary Grant will have his turn in the channel's annual, month-long "Summer Under the Stars" festival that showcases one actor's work each day. The lineup includes such Grant staples as "Bringing Up Baby," "Gunga Din," "The Philadelphia Story" and the Alfred Hitchcock-directed "North by Northwest."

Jennifer Grant's book "Good Stuff: A Reminiscence of My Father, Cary Grant" was published in May. Regarding Sunday's TCM picks, she tells Zap2it, "I love the movies they're showing. I'd seen all of Dad's films prior to writing the book, but the book really wasn't about his career. Many people could write better books about his history in the cinema, but the way I know him is as a father. And I...

90210 Goes to Prom (And in doing so sums up everything that is wrong with this series!)
Despite its myriad of improvements over the course of the past three seasons, last night’s Prom-centric episode of 90210 crystallized an issue that has been plaguing the troubled series since its hastily crafted inception.

That issue? The astonishing misuse of West Beverly High.

One of the biggest appeals of its predecessor Beverly Hills 90210 was the fact that audiences truly believed these kids went to high school. From Andrea Zuckerman’s academic intensity and Steve Sanders’ failing grades, to Donna Martin’s learning disability and subsequent fight to graduate, West Beverly High wasn’t just a home to the occasional sexual assault by a trusted teacher, it was a living and breathing entity at the center of these kid’s universe that helped fuel a wonderful world of storylines that fans could not only relate to, but cared about. As New York was to Sex And The City, West Beverly High...

That's Rich: 9021-Old News...
It made very little sense for The CW to remake Beverly Hills, 90210.

When the original series premiered in 1990, the concept of a primetime soap opera based around rich teenagers was novel. By the time 90210 aired, however?

Bravo was focusing an entire franchise around wealthy families and the genre was so played out that another CW series (Gossip Girl) essentially served as a parody of it.

At first, 90210 clearly didn't know what to do with itself. It tried catering to fans of the original by bringing back Jennie Garth (as a guidance counselor, logical enough), Shannen Doherty (for no valid reason) and Tori Spelling (truly, for no valid reason).

After a season, it ditched any connection to the original series and tried focusing on its new, core characters. There was just one problem: none were particularly interesting, and all were just horribly-acted.

On season three, the show has attempted to depict more current,...

90210 Round Table: "Senior Year, Baby"
Naomi is a mess, Annie is a free woman and Adrianna might have a singing career ahead of her after all.

Indeed, the third season premiere of 90210 offered up many storylines for fans to chew on - and that's exactly what a TV Fanatic Round Table is for! Join us below as staff members analyze various aspects from "Senior Year, Baby" and don't forget to discuss it with fellow fans in our 90210 forum...

Can AnnaLynne McCord pull off Naomi's storyline?

M.L. House: No. I have a better chance of ending up with Kelly Taylor. McCord isn't terrible at delivering snarky lines and playing the snotty bitch. But she just doesn't have the gravitas needed for this layered, serious role. I find myself laughing every time she cries.

Lj Gibbs: The quick, easy answer is no. But I'm trying to look past McCord and focus on the plot itself. Kudos...
