Happy Gilmore 2 tees off on Netflix July 25. To celebrate, the streaming service is launching a collection of movies featuring Sandler and fellow Saturday Night Live alumni.
Sandler returns to one of his most iconic roles for the first time in almost 30 years. Stars returning from the 1996 comedy classic include Julie Bowen and Christopher McDonald. Several actors from the Saturday Night Live family are also onboard for Happy Gilmore 2, including Kevin Nealon, Ben Stiller, Marcello Hernandez, Jim Downey, and Martin Herlihy.
But Netflix isn't waiting until July 25 to let fans stream their favorite SNL stars. Here's a breakdown of what's coming to Netflix in July, featuring SNL stars past and present (via Collider).
To no surprise, Happy Gilmore kicks things off. The film premiered just a year after Sandler left Saturday Night Live and has since become a cult classic. In addition to Nealon and Stiller, the original also...

Saturday Night Live alum Chris Parnell said he “never really knew” why he was fired from the late-night sketch show and later rehired.
“I never really knew, I’ve never known why it happened exactly,” he recently said on The Patrick LabyorSheaux podcast while promoting the upcoming Season 8 debut of Adult Swim’s Rick and Morty. “I don’t know. It was a big shocker. Every summer it would happen that — we were supposed to find out, I think like at the end of June whether our contract had been renewed for the following season, and it was never at the end of June, so we would usually hear from our agents, like, ‘Oh, Lorne hasn’t decided yet, so can you just wait for a few more weeks?'”

Saturday Night Live paid tribute to Val Kilmer following the Batman Forever star's death last week. The NBC sketch show briefly honored Kilmer during an episode hosted by Jack Black on Saturday (April 5).
A memorial graphic aired before Saturday's final segment, featuring a stylized promo image of Kilmer from his SNL hosting debut on December 9, 2000. One of the most notable moments from that season 26 instalment was an It's a Wonderful Life-themed monologue where Kilmer learned about the disastrous consequences if he'd have turned down hosting the show.
Saturday Night Live Honors the Late Val Kilmer
Kilmer also reprized his role as Jim Morrison from 1991's The Doors for a Behind the Music parody where Morrison formed a psychedelic band in heaven, called The Great Frog Society, with fellow deceased musicians Janis Joplin (Molly Shannon), Jimi Hendrix (Jerry Minor), Keith Moon (Horatio Sanz), Buddy Holly (Jimmy Fallon) and Louis Armstrong...

If you know Adam Scott through his work in the excellent science fiction thriller series "Severance" from Apple TV+, it's understandable that you may be a little taken aback that Scott's most consistent and best turns have come in comedy. "Severance" does have some black comedy elements to its workplace satire, in which a group of people have gone through the eponymous process of severance, in which they have an "innie" who works at a strange and mysterious multinational conglomerate and an "outie" who lives a life outside of work and has no idea what their innie does during the day (and vice versa for the innies knowing nothing about their outies). But that show is largely a dark thriller in which the main characters struggle to regain their independence while being controlled by the enigmatic people who run Lumon Industries.

Who would have thought that the Saturday Night Live joke that would get Stephen Miller all bothered and butthurt would be a punchline about Tsa?
“President Trump addressed a joint session of Congress and claimed that no president has changed government faster than him,” said Michael Che on last Saturday’s edition of Weekend Update. “Yeah, and nobody changed airport security faster than Bin Laden.”
It was a throwaway joke that no one remembered by Sunday morning, but let’s go to White House Deputy Chief of Staff Miller for his reaction to SNL Comparing Donald Trump To A Terrorist! Unsurprisingly, Miller wasn’t interested in examining the joke itself, instead employing a one-size-fits-all Fox News checklist of Why Comedy Is the Enemy (Except for Greg Gutfeld). “Saturday Night Live has not been culturally relevant in 20 years,” Miller whined. “Saturday Night Live has not produced a meaningful talent since the 1990s.

Saturday Night Live's biggest stars are everywhere these days: from the hallowed halls of Studio 8H, all the way to the beachy shores of Malibu, California. And in honor of the historic 50th anniversary of the longstanding comedy sketch series, everyone is getting in on the action of celebrating and honoring its many iconic moments. Including Volkswagen, which reunited Bill Hader, Kristen Wiig, and Fred Armisen as "The Californians" in a commercial for their latest car.
The air-headed, valley girl-inflection-toting bottled blondes from the popular soap opera parody sketch star in the ad for the new Volkswagen ID Buzz, an electric take on their own California icon, the old Vw bus, which debuted on Thursday. And, frankly, it's giving nostalgia vibes in an extremely earth-conscious way, which is like, totally Californian of them. We can see why Karina (Wiig) and her lover Devin (Hader) are too impressed by her...

Saturday Night Live is celebrating its five decades with SNL50: The Anniversary Special, a three-hour event airing Sunday that brings together former cast members, beloved guest hosts, and current stars. As NBC’s sketch-comedy series takes a stroll down memory lane all the way back to its debut year of 1975, Gold Derby is fine-tuning our approach and reliving all of its most talked-about, influential, and downright hilarious moments that aired between 2001 and today.

It’s rumored that “Saturday Night Live” creator Lorne Michaels hates it when the show’s sketch comedians break character on air. Fortunately, that hasn’t stopped it from happening countless times over the NBC series’ 50-year history. Everyone from Bill Hader and Kristen Wiig to Kate McKinnon and even Will Ferrell have all stumbled into their own moments of out-of-character laughter.
In honor of “SNL’s” 50th anniversary special this Sunday, here are 10 of the best times that the show’s cast couldn’t keep it together.
Pete Davidson in “Uncle Ben”
The funniest moment of “Uncle Ben,” a 2020 sketch about a group of Black brand figures like Aunt Jemima (Maya Rudolph) being fired after being deemed culturally insensitive, is born out of a seemingly unscripted moment. Having already cracked up himself, Dave Chappelle decided to turn his sights on cast member Pete Davidson, who appears in “Uncle Ben” as Count Chocula.

We’re celebrating 50 years of “Saturday Night Live”! All this week, we’re digging into the late-night comedy institution with new stories, including lists, essays, interviews, and more.
In 8th grade there was a popular kid, I’ll call him Tim. Tim was 6-feet tall and he had a cool haircut. Tim was either good-looking or he was good-looking for the ’90s, I really can’t remember. Either way, let’s say he was at least contextually attractive, tall, and had a haircut — more than enough to be the big kid in middle school. But Tim thought he had another quality that he most certainly did not have: Tim thought he was funny.
Why did Tim think he was funny? Well, a cool thing happens in 8th grade when the cool kid makes a joke — even a lame joke — the other kids laugh. The masses laughing at Tim’s bad jokes never bothered me.

The celebration is heating up as Saturday Night Live turns 50 years old. The show will have its 50th anniversary special, celebrating a rich legacy that includes the many actors who have starred and made cameos in several films and shows. Over its 50-year history, Saturday Night Live (SNL) has dominated pop culture with some hilarious breakout sketches. Skits like "Porn Teacher" (with Amy Schumer), "Black Jeopardy with Tom Hanks," the controversial "Harry Potter: Hermione Growth Spurt" (with Lindsay Lohan), and Adam Driver's amazing "Star Wars Undercover Boss: Starkiller Base" are all fan favorites. However, if there's one skit that has gotten stuck in fans' heads more than any other, it has to be the infamous "More Cowbell" skit featuring Will Ferrell and Christopher Walken. A new docuseries, titled SNL 50: Beyond Saturday Night, is looking at the show's long history, with an entire episode dedicated to the beloved sketch.

In his eight years on Saturday Night Live, Chris Parnell certainly left a mark. From his dead-on impression of Tom Brokaw, to his famous rapping skills, to his earning the nickname “The Iceman” for never breaking in a sketch, Parnell’s legacy on the show is impressive. There is, however, one thing that sets him apart from every other cast member ever: He’s the only guy to have been fired from the show not once, but twice.
I recently caught up with the presently gainfully employed Parnell to discuss those two dismissals as well as the protest sketch one of the show’s writers put together to express to Lorne Michaels their displeasure with Parnell’s termination.

Saturday Night Live gave Blue Öyster Cult’s following a fever.
On April 8, 2000, SNL aired a sketch written by and starring Will Ferrell that would change the course of music history forever — or, at least, it would change the way everyone in the crowd treated Blue Öyster Cult during their tours. With Ferrell, Jimmy Fallon, Chris Kattan, Chris Parnell and Horatio Sanz all playing the psychedelic rock band from Stony Brook, New York and guest host Christopher Walken in the role of a producer who is passionate about a certain percussion part, “More Cowbell” was an immediate hit, and, in the nearly quarter-century since its airing, the sketch has become one of the most over-quoted SNL skits in the show’s long history.

One of the most common complaints about latter-day Saturday Night Live is that the cast is too big. That problem gets compounded when SNL enlists multiple people to host at the same time.
How does the show handle that juggling act? As you’ll see below, not very well — when it comes to hosting, less is usually more.
Check out these five examples of two people fighting for stage time while hosting Saturday Night Live…
1 The Olsen Twins Play
The early aughts might have been apex creepy at SNL. Shows featured teenage guests from Lindsay Lohan to Britney Spears to Sarah Michelle Gellar getting hit on by older male cast members under the guise of comedy, while Horatio Sanz was allegedly doing the same thing to fans.
The Olsen Twins episode in 2004 was no exception. Their opening monologue, understandably scrubbed from the Peacock version, features the 17-year-olds complaining about missing prom.

“I’m Chevy Chase, and you’re not” was a cute catchphrase to launch Weekend Update on an unsuspecting nation, but it also turned out to be prophetic. And so, no one would blame you if you can’t remember a single joke from these five obscure Weekend Update anchors.

If you’re Jimmy Fallon or Horatio Sanz, Saturday Night Live screwups are a dime a dozen. But forget not being able to keep a straight face. When you’re doing live television, other things can — and do — go wrong, from uncontrollable animals to high-flying theatrics gone haywire.
Here are five times that SNL sketches went sideways — and there wasn’t a damn thing anyone could do about it…
1 Massive Head Wound Harry Play
When W.C. Fields said, “Never work with children or animals,” he was somehow predicting Massive Head Wound Harry, a sketch in which a dog decides to take comedy into its own paws.
The plan was always for the pooch to lick Harry’s unfortunate wound, but it wasn’t supposed to devour Dana Carvey’s head. The dog was so ravenous for the fake injury that Carvey got into a tug-of-war to keep it attached to his noggin.

In the early days of Saturday Night Live, John Belushi starred in a horror movie parody that was based on his real-life habit of overstaying his welcome. What were ordinary people supposed to do with houseguests like Belushi, the man known as The Thing That Wouldn’t Leave?
@huggyattack
In the intervening years, SNL has unfortunately encouraged more Things That Wouldn’t Leave — departed cast members who can’t quit returning to the old show. Nostalgia is great but with 20-plus comedians in the current cast, there are already too many mouths to feed.
Here are five SNL stars who need to stop giving us the horror movie treatment and take a permanent hike…

Rachel Dratch was smart to be nervous around Jimmy Fallon and Horatio Sanz. As immortalized in song by Andy Samberg and Adam Sandler at Saturday Night Live’s 40th birthday bash, Fallon and Sanz were notorious for their inability (or unwillingness) to keep a straight face during sketches. “These guys, they better not mess up my thing with cracking up,” Dratch remembered about her first Debbie Downer sketch in the oral history Live From New York.
Spoiler alert: Fallon and Sanz cracked up.
But they’re not the only ones. Here are the 10 craziest times that SNL sketches nearly got derailed by delirious laughter…
10 Super Showcase Spokesmodels

If Paula Pell had her way, “Girls5Eva” would be one of the longest-running comedies on television.
“I could do it for 15 seasons, and I’d be tapping my foot like, ‘What’s the news on 16?’” Pell told TheWrap. Part of that passion has to do with the talent behind the series, which moved from Peacock to Netflix for its third season. Created by Meredith Scardino and executive produced by the team of Robert Carlock, Tina Fey and Jeff Richmond, the series centers on Pell, Sara Bareilles, Renée Elise Goldsberry and Busy Philipps.
“Girls5Eva” follows a girl group that used to be big in the 2000s but has since been shoved aside. Decades after disbanding, these now middle-aged women reunite to take another shot at becoming pop stars. Pell portrays Gloria, the group member who used to be closeted and who spends most of Season 3 sleeping with her various fans while touring on the road.

Lorne Michaels is an expert at celebrating the legacy of “Saturday Night Live.” The show’s creator has produced variety specials for the NBC program’s 15th anniversary, 25th anniversary and 40th anniversary, so the upcoming 50th season should have a highly entertaining spectacle. Nothing less than a three-hour event would be expected, but how else should “SNL” celebrate the golden anniversary season, which would begin in the autumn of 2024 and continue through May, 2025?
Here is our exciting, fun suggestion for a way to go above and beyond for the live special. Over the course of a 20-22 episode season, NBC would certainly have almost every episode featuring the current cast along with hot guest hosts and musical guests. However, for the other five episodes spread out over several months, devote an entire 90 minutes to each previous decade. Invite back the biggest cast members from a decade along with well-known guest hosts and music stars.

Comedic breaking: it's been around for pretty much as long as performances. Flip through classic TV channels and you'll find Rue McClanahan delivering her lines into the back of her hand to hide giggles in episodes of "The Golden Girls," Mary Tyler Moore barely suppressing her grin in"The Dick Van Dyke Show," and Horatio Sanz wiping away tears with Mickey Mouse waffles on "Saturday Night Live." Breaking seems like an unstoppable phenomenon, especially once more than one castmate well and truly gets the giggles, but it's also a surprisingly controversial one: for every person who laughs along with the actors, there seems to be another who thinks breaking is unfunny and unprofessional.
Larry Gelbart, who created the influential and long-running '70s sitcom "M*A*S*H," was apparently not into character breaks, and he told author Ed Solomonson that one actor in the show's ensemble cast did it more than any other.

Over the last 15 years, Jimmy Fallon has become one of the biggest names in late-night TV. From 2009 to 2014, he headlined NBC's Late Night franchise, which he followed with a promotion to emcee The Tonight Show. Fallon got his career start in late-night comedy as a Saturday Night Live cast member from 1998 to 2004. But his after-hours tenure has seen a few bumps in the road, with some not-so-subtle allegations swirling over the years.
The most recent and arguably biggest hit to his reputation came in September 2023 via a Rolling Stone article. That piece revealed that Fallon was prone to erratic behavior, with verbal abuse and emotional outbursts contributing to a toxic workplace culture. While not necessarily a total career-destroying scandal, there should have been some backlash in the media. Instead, Fallon offered an apology to his staff, and The Tonight Show returned in October when the WGA strike ended. Since then,...

“The Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon apologized to his staffers this week after a damning Rolling Stone report alleged a work environment marred by his toxic behavior on set — and it’s not the first time the former “Saturday Night Live” star has come under fire for his actions. He’s previously been criticized for not paying his writers during the currently WGA strike, for instance, and for that infamously playful 2016 interview with former President Donald Trump.
Other late night hosts have also crossed the line on a number of occasions, with Jimmy Kimmel, Jay Leno and David Letterman also issuing statements, or on-air mea culpas, asking viewers to forgive their missteps and misdeeds.
Here are some of the most scandalous moments in late night TV.

In 2021, Horatio Sanz, who was on Saturday Night Live from 1998 to 2006, was accused of sexually assaulting a minor for an incident that occurred in 2002.
Now Sanz’s accuser is calling out the SNL cast for not supporting her case against Sanz. The accuser has stayed anonymous and is referred to as Jane Doe.
In August 2021, she filed charges against Sanz for an incident that occurred when she was a minor at an after-party show. She claims that she was sexually assaulted and groomed by Sanz. She claims she was groped by Sanz during the party in a room full of people, including SNL cast members.
No one tried to help her even though she was clearly telling Sanz to stop, Doe says. No one ever filed a complaint against Sanz, even though they witnessed his illegal actions. When Sanz and Doe left the party, Doe was extremely intoxicated, and Sanz...

“For decades, SNL has been a frequently terrible, punishing experience for a lot of people who worked there or ended up in the show’s orbit.”
That’s part of how author Maureen Ryan describes the workplace culture of NBC’s Saturday Night Live in her forthcoming book, Burn It Down: Power, Complicity, and a Call for Change in Hollywood.
Due June 6, the book from Ryan — a longtime journalist and critic who has contributed reporting to THR surrounding misconduct — has already revealed the toxicity that existed in the writers room on ABC’s Lost. Now, in an exclusive chapter, Ryan turns her lens on the nearly 50-year-old comedy institution that is Saturday Night Live, describing a “culture of impunity” at the Lorne Michaels series where “abuse and toxicity are not just permitted but often celebrated.”

Maureen Ryan, author of the upcoming Hollywood exposé Burn It Down, says a number of major networks, studios and entertainment companies responded with “crickets” when she reached out about allegations regarding their TV shows.
The veteran entertainment reporter and contributing editor at Vanity Fair appears on the latest episode of The Hollywood Reporter‘sTV’s Top 5 podcast, where she speaks about her process for her new book, which explores patterns of harassment and bias in entertainment following an excerpt about the behind-the-scenes toxicity and bias on Lost.
During the more-than-30-minute discussion, Ryan details the experience of putting together around four years worth of reporting that covers a number of (some now ended) shows like Lost, Sleepy Hollow, The Goldbergs and Saturday Night Live. “One of the things that’s threaded through the book” that shocked her the most, she says, were the “crickets” she frequently got when she reached out about allegations.

The actor calls the film his baby as he got his writer credit for penning the dialogues of the film.
The film, which released on May 10, 2013, has become a cult classic owing to its blend of horror and comedy and rib-tickling dialogues.
Talking about his experience of working in the film, the actor said, “‘Go Goa Gone’ is a special film and really close to my heart. The film was like my baby as it was my first film where I got the opportunity to be a writer and work on an idea that came to life between the three of us, i.e. Raj – Dk & myself. It feels great to see how even after so many years, it’s still being talked about and at the receiving end of all this love.

This post contains spoilers for "The Mandalorian" season 3, episode 1, "The Apostate."
In the same way Daniel Craig made a stealth cameo as a Stormtrooper in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," "The Mandalorian" has already featured more than one famous guest star who went unrecognizable because of costuming or makeup. This goes back to the series premiere when comedian and former "Saturday Night Live" cast member Horatio Sanz played Mando's first bounty, the blue alien Mythrol. The season 3 premiere also sneaks in "Sweet Tooth" star Nonso Anozie as the seaweed-headed pirate king, Gorian Shard. Even Din Djarin himself, voiced by Anozie's fellow "Game of Thrones" alum Pedro Pascal, spends most of the series under a helmet. The very removal of that helmet gets him excommunicated from the Way of the Mandalore, hence the episode title, "The Apostate."

Warning! This post contains Spoilers for The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special.
The MCU just got a brand-new playlist thanks to the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special. Featuring multiple tracks filled with cheer as Mantis and Drax attempt to restore Star-Lord's Christmas spirit, the new soundtrack is all kinds of fun while also having songs written specifically for the new holiday special, one of the first MCU projects ever pitched for Disney+. Despite Mantis and Drax's missteps such as their abduction of actor Kevin Bacon, the new soundtrack provides the perfect background as the Guardians celebrate the holidays as a big cosmic family.
As with the first two Guardians of the Galaxy films, music plays a key role in the overall theme and tone of the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special. Director (and new Dcu head) James Gunn even collaborated with the Old 97's to write a...

Maya Rudolph has recounted feeling “embarrassed and humiliated” during her first appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman.
The Saturday Night Live alum made her debut guest appearance on the late-night talk show in 2009.
In a new interview with The Wall Street Journal, Rudolph, 50, reflected on her earlier years in the business when she struggled with red carpets, interviews and talk shows.
“It would always feel like someone was stealing my soul,” she described. “That’s where, over the years, I created a persona to protect myself.”
She then recalled her first experience joining David Letterman on his show.
“I did not have a good time,” she remembered.
“He said my name wrong, and I just sat there, like, ‘I grew up my whole life in love with you. And now my heart is broken. And I’m sitting here embarrassed and humiliated.’”
The Independent has contacted Letterman’s representatives for comment.

“SNL” staples Jimmy Fallon, Lorne Michaels and Tracy Morgan have been added as defendants in a sexual assault lawsuit against their former colleague Horatio Sanz. According to the “Jane Doe” filing, the trio — along with several other “SNL” cast members — served as “enablers” to Sanz’s actions.
The suit was filed in August of last year, claiming that the victim met Sanz when she was 15 and operating fan sites about “Saturday Night Live.” Sanz allegedly invited her to a taping of the show in 2000 and “began his process of grooming.” In text communications with Doe, the actor allegedly steered the conversation toward topics like “sex, sexual experiences, sexual activities, sexual fantasies [and] masturbation.”
In the amended suit, Doe claims that many of those messages were sent while Sanz was “sitting several feet from Fallon in their shared office,” and that, “Under the circumstances, it is clear that Fallon was as aware...

Following an August 2021 lawsuit filed against “Saturday Night Live” alum Horatio Sanz, his accuser is now listing Jimmy Fallon, Lorne Michaels, and Tracy Morgan as defendants, claiming the trio enabled Sanz’s alleged misconduct. (Variety reported on the updated filing.)
The woman, identified as Jane Doe in the legal proceedings, accused Sanz of grooming her when she was 17 years old in May 2002. Doe stated that Sanz kissed and groped her while attempting to digitally penetrate her at a party. Per the filing, Doe and her friends regularly attended “SNL” after parties from 2000 to 2002, between the ages of 15 and 17 years old after Doe joined the online “SNL” superfan community as a Fallon fanatic. The suit alleged Sanz and Fallon first emailed to thank her for creating a fan page for Fallon, and she was later invited to after-parties for the sketch comedy series.

After suing former ‘SNL’ star Horatio Sanz for sexual assault, a woman has sought the court’s permission to add Jimmy Fallon, Lorne Michaels, and Tracy Morgan as defendants, arguing that they enabled Sanz’ misconduct, reports ‘Variety’.
The woman, identified only as Jane Doe, alleges that Sanz “groomed” her when she was a teen fan of the show. She also alleges that Sanz kissed her, groped her, and attempted to digitally penetrate her at a party in May 2002, when she was 17 years old.
According to ‘Variety’, she filed suit in August 2021 under a state law that opened a two-year “lookback window” allowing victims of child sex abuse to bring claims that otherwise would have been barred by the statute of limitations.
More recently, New York City amended its own law to create a two-year lookback window, allowing accusers to sue anyone who enabled such conduct.

A Pennsylvania woman filed legal papers today in an attempt to add Jimmy Fallon, Tracy Morgan and Lorne Michaels to a 2021 lawsuit in which she accuses then-Saturday Night Live castmember Horatio Sanz of sexually assaulting her when she was 17.
According to the filing, Michaels fostered a predatory environment at SNL in which visibly underage teenage girls were a regular presence at the show’s “after-parties” and “after-after parties.” It further claims that alcohol was provided to teens at those parties by NBC, which was named in the original lawsuit. Today’s filing claims that Fallon and Morgan were willing participants in the party culture that enabled the suit’s Jane Doe to be sexually assaulted by Sanz. The paperwork claims the assault happened at an SNL party in 2002 with numerous witnesses present. After the assault, the claimant says she suffered lifelong trauma.

The woman who previously sued former SNL star Horatio Sanz is asking the court to add Jimmy Fallon, SNL creator Lorne Michaels, and Tracy Morgan to her sexual assault lawsuit.
The lawsuit was initially filed in 2021 by an anonymous Jane Doe, who accused Sanz of sexually assaulting and grooming her when she was a teenager in the early 2000s. The lawsuit originally listed 20 unnamed SNL cast and crew members as co-defendants, with Doe accusing Sanz of “kissing her, groping her breasts, groping her buttocks, and digitally penetrating her genitals forcibly...

A woman who is suing former “SNL” star Horatio Sanz for sexual assault asked the court’s permission on Tuesday to add Jimmy Fallon, Lorne Michaels, and Tracy Morgan as defendants, arguing that they enabled Sanz’ misconduct.
The woman, identified only as Jane Doe, alleges that Sanz “groomed” her when she was a teen fan of the show. She also alleges that Sanz kissed her, groped her, and attempted to digitally penetrate her at a party in May 2002, when she was 17 years old.
She filed suit in August 2021 under a state law that opened a two-year “lookback window” allowing victims of child sex abuse to bring claims that otherwise would have been barred by the statute of limitations. More recently, New York City amended its own law to create a two-year lookback window, allowing accusers to sue anyone who enabled such conduct.
According to the complaint, the accuser and her...

Steve Carell has taken on plenty of memorable roles in his life, from the depressed scholar Frank in "Little Miss Sunshine" to the sexually frustrated Andy in "The 40-year old Virgin" to sweet supervillain Gru in "Despicable Me." Yet no matter how many great performances he puts in, he'll always be known first and foremost to many people as Michael Scott from "The Office." The tactless, cringe-inducing, hilarious boss of Dunder Mifflin Paper Company is the sun around which all the show's workplace chaos revolves.
"The Office" wouldn't have succeeded without Carell's faux-sly glances to camera, perfectly uncomfortable line deliveries, and contagious outbursts of laughter. Yet as with so many great roles, it almost went to someone else. In fact, lots of familiar names were considered for the role.

Selena Gomez's recent appearance on "Saturday Night Live" on May 14 has stirred some controversy within the community. While some found one sketch hilarious, others thought it was an embarrassing and stereotypical portrayal of Mexican Americans. The sketch in question, "A Peek at Pico," is a talk show set in Pico Rivera, CA, a Latinx neighborhood in Southeast Los Angeles that doesn't normally get mainstream attention. The show's hosts, played by Melissa Villaseñor and Gomez (who are both Mexican American themselves), are dressed in heavily stereotyped chola attire, which includes white tank tops, plaid long-sleeved shirts, khakis, and big Aqua Net bangs with teased-out and heavily gelled hair. The punchline is that they refuse to let any guest on the show fully develop their story. Similarly, though, the whole skit seems underdeveloped.

The next episode of Fast Foodies will feature NBA All-Star Baron Davis, and he'll arrive on the show with an eight-legged friend!

"No butts about it, you'll want to stick around to the very end for the grossest consequence in Fast Foodies history."
truTV shared an exclusive look at the episode with TV Fanatic, and it perfectly highlights how fun the series is.
Baron arrives on the show with his favorite fast food. We're not going to tell you because you should watch the clip first.
There's a tarantula thrown in for good measure, and there are many questions about whether the eight-legged friend is real or fake.
On Fast Foodies, Top Chef winners Kristen Kish, Jeremy Ford, and Iron Chef winner...
