Eva Larue Exits ‘General Hospital’ As Natalia Ramirez
Image
“General Hospital” actress Eva Larue (Natalia Ramirez) is exiting the daytime drama series later this week when her character’s ultimate fate is determined after she ingested a cocktail of pills and alcohol on the Monday, June 30 episode.

In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, Larue says she got an inkling that things were shifting toward an exit in January after the show’s writers tried to rehabilitate her character, who arrived in Port Charles last year fully against her daughter, Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez), having a same-sex relationship with Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi). Natalia’s homophobia was called out a few times by several residents and numerous fans alike. Incidentally, the writers decided to introduce another of Natalia’s children, a son named Marco (Adrian Anchondo), who is also gay.

Eva Larue Leaving ‘General Hospital’ — Find Out Natalia’s Final Episode Date
Image
Eva Larue, who joined General Hospital in February 2024 as Natalia Rogers-Ramirez, will wrap up her run on the soap this week. Her exit storyline kicked into high gear on the June 30 episode, in which she shared emotional scenes with Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos). Natalia broke down in tears with Sonny at his granddaughter’s christening, and he made it clear to Natalia that she wouldn’t be a part of his future. “May you and your whole family get every blessing you deserve,” Natalie bitterly told him before leaving for her hotel. Working with Benard was something the actress looked forward to as she began her Gh journey. “We’ve never worked together before, but we’re acquaintance friends,” she detailed to TV Insider last year. “But it felt so legit, so iconic. When I told all my ‘mom friends’ who are huge General Hospital fans that I had scenes with Sonny,...

One Life to Live (1968)
5 General Hospital characters we don’t need
One Life to Live (1968)
General Hospital could easily cut some of the cast.

The ABC soap is known for keeping an overly bloated cast, especially if the cast members came from another soap like One Life to Live or were hand-picked by executive producer Frank Valentini.

Over the last few months, there has been uproar about General Hospital’s choice to fire Kelly Monaco (Sam), one of the most popular actresses on the show. They killed her off in the most despicable way, recently revealing she died at the hands of Cyrus (Jeff Kober).

A few weeks ago, Chad Duell revealed he was exiting the ABC soap as Michael, and Frank confirmed they would not be recasting the role. While that is one less character to bloat the cast, being involved in one of the bigger storylines and just vanishing without a recast makes no sense.

Last week, Evan Hofer exited the show with Dex killed off by Cyrus.

Is All My Children Set To make A Comeback?
Susan Lucci, Debbi Morgan, Rebecca Budig, Cameron Mathison, and Darnell Williams in All My Children (1970)
All My Children Spoilers: If you were a soap fan from the 70s onward, you’ll remember a certain ABC soap called All My Children, the starred the iconic Susan Luci as Erica Cane, along with Kelly Ripa (from Live!) and hubby Mark Consuelos as Hailey Vaughan and Matteo Santos, Eva La Rue as Maria Santos, and countless other stars in the fictional town of Pine Valley.

Ah, those were the days! Sadly, the soap ended its TV broadcast days in 2011, and only briefly reappeared as a web series in 2013, along with the equally ill-fated One Life to Live.

All My Children Spoilers – What Happened To Pine Valley?

In a reality where bionic prosthetics dictate the sporting scene, the rivalry between the Santos sisters takes them down a dark and mischievous path. Maria Santos (Jessica Córes) dreams of competing against her bionic sister, Gabi Santos (Gabz), but a just competition is impossible when Gabi has indefinitely enhanced ability with her bionic prosthetic leg, even against a real prodigy like Maria. In a world where Paralympic athletes with their bionic prosthetics have superhuman stardom and completely overshadow non-bionic athletes, a fair play between them is simply beyond the bounds of possibility. To achieve her goal and be the best at Long Jump and...

Image
Netflix dares everyone to imagine that there will be a time when para-athletes will take over the sports scene with fancy and state-of-the-art implants that make them so much stronger and better than regular athletes. Afonso Poyart’s sci-fi sports flick Bionic is mainly based in Brazil, where the protagonist, Maria Santos, gets involved in the world of crime while trying to reach the pinnacle of long jumping. Let’s take a look at the cast and characters of this new Netflix release.

Jessica Cores is known for playing Camila in the Brazilian fantasy series Invisible City, also a Netflix original. Cores stars as the sole protagonist of Bionic, and she is convincing as an athlete who was meant to be at the top of the world. ‘Bionic’ Ending Explained & Movie Recap: How Do The Bionic Limbs Work?
Image
Sports are inspiring; they motivate you to rise above and beyond your limits. All physical sports are mostly about the indomitable human spirit breaking through every boundary to set new records. However, when machines become involved in a human sport, the advantages that come with it nullify the whole purpose of it. Afonso Poyart’s sci-fi sports drama Bionic takes its audience to the future, 2035 to be precise. It’s an era where technology has advanced enough to replace human limbs with machines. This revolution has led to regular athletes going jobless, while bionic athletes have taken over the sports scene. Bionic games have replaced the Olympics, and here we are. Let’s get to the subject then.

Spoilers Ahead

‘Bionic’ Ending Explained & Netflix Film Summary: What Happens To Maria And Gabi?
Image
Bionic, or Bionicos in native Portuguese, is a new Brazilian film streaming on Netflix that combines elements of science fiction and action to predict what human life might be like in the next decade. Set in the near future, the film’s plot follows the ambitions of two sisters, both exceptionally talented as long-jump athletes, in a world where bionic modifications to human bodies are a very common and accepted practice. Although the plot of Bionic is not extremely intriguing or convincing, the crime and action elements, together with the neon-soaked visuals, still make up for a decent watch.

Spoiler Alert

What is the film about?

Set in 2035, Bionic begins with a young man walking into a bank in Brazil for a seemingly regular visit. Although the metal detector goes off as soon as he walks into the place, the man explains that his shoulders have titanium joints since one of his arms is prosthetic.

Eva Larue’s Stalking Nightmare Being Adapted As Scripted & Unscripted Series With Forté Entertainment
Image
Exclusive: Eva Larue, who played DNA analyst Natalia Boa Vista in CSI: Miami and Maria Santos on the soap opera All My Children, is turning her own experiences of being stalked into a pair of TV projects.

Larue and her family, including daughter Kaya Callahan, were stalked by James David Rogers for 12 years and he was sentenced to just over three years in prison as punishment for his crime last year.

She has now teamed with Toronto-based producer Forté Entertainment to develop both scripted and unscripted projects. My Nightmare Stalker will include a scripted series, premium documentary series and a returning factual spin-off program.

In more than three dozen graphic letters and countless voicemail messages, Rogers threatened Eva and Kaya, who was five when the stalking began and is now 21, relentlessly over the years, with letters being sent directly to Kaya, when she turned 13. Prosecutors, in a sentencing memorandum, called...

But we’re more interested in the fashion on the red carpet. B-Town attended with all their glitz and glamour. Good glitz and glamour or bad glitz and glamour, well that is for me to know and you to find out!

Going the Disney Princess route was Prachi Desai in a Sonam and Paras Modi in a floor length anarkali. The anarkali is quite striking but I’m not quite sure where the dupatta for the anarkali went and whilst I usually don’t mind it, the outfit and the occasion demanded for one. I wish Prachi had gone for different hair also.

The nominees for the 2012 Latin Grammy awards are in, and Dominican singer Juan Luis Guerra tops the list with six nods.

Guerra scored two of the 10 "Best Song" nominations for his "Azul Sabina" and "En El Cielo No Hay Hospital." The Dominican singer’s unique blend of merengue, bolero, bachata and rock has already earned him 12 Latin Grammys.

The list of nominees released Tuesday by the Latin Recording Academy includes both established musical titans such as Cuban jazz trumpeter Arturo Sandoval, and relative newcomers, including Afro-Colombian hip hop group Choc Quib Town.

Brazil's Caetano Veloso, who first came to prominence in the 1960s playing a samba-infused style of rock known as Tropicalia, is up for four awards. Caetano will also be honored as the "2012 Latin Recording Academy Person of the Year."

'All My Children': See Sarah Michelle Gellar's return -- in a wheelchair
Sarah Michelle Gellar makes a return cameo on "All My Children" Wednesday (Sept. 21), and although she's not playing Kendall Hart, it sure looks like that's who she thinks she is.

When Gellar, who played Kendall from 1993-95, said she would return to the ABC soap in its final days, she also said she didn't want to play Kendall again since the character is part of the show's current story (Alicia Minshew has played her since 2002). But the show is definitely nodding to Gellar's past.

In the clip below, the "Ringer" star is wheeled into the hospital and meets Dr. Maria Santos Grey (fellow returning "AMC" alum Eva Larue), and she insists that -- like Kendall -- she's Erica Kane's daughter.

Take a look at the clip below (courtesy of our partners at TV Overmind). Are you happy to see Gellar back on "AMC," however briefly?...

This morning, Smg returned as a delusional patient of Pine Valley Hospital -- one who believes she is the daughter of Erica Kane . As AMC fans know, Gellar actually did play Kane's daughter, Kendall Hart , from 1993-1995. The role is currently played by another actress, Alicia Minshew . "Buffy" fans will get a laugh from the scene too, as her character says she saw vampires "before they were trendy." Today's episode also marked the return of Eva La Rue as Maria Santos . Sarah Michelle Gellar is paying tribute to 'All My Children' by returning to the show with one very crazy guest role, and we've got the exclusive first look video.

In the Wed., Sept. 21 episode, Gellar -- who stars in The CW's 'Ringer' (premieres Tues., Sept. 13, 9Pm Et) -- will not be playing Kendall, the role she made famous.

Gellar originated the role of Kendall Hart, Erica Kane's daughter, from 1993-1995. The 'Buffy' veteran won a Daytime Emmy for her portrayal.

Now that Kendall is played by Alicia Minshew, Gellar specifically asked to return in a different capacity. So, who is she playing? According to TV Guide, Gellar will play a delusional hospital patient who thinks she's Erica Kane's daughter! Eva La Rue returning to 'All My Children' too
"All My Children" has pulled in one more alumna of the series for a guest arc this summer.

Eva La Rue, who played Dr. Maria Santos Grey on the soap from 1993-97 and 2002-05, will return for a few episodes later this summer. She joins Josh Duhamel, who's also making a brief return before the series leaves the air in September.

ABC isn't tipping its hand about what brings Maria back to Pine Valley. La Rue last appeared on the show in early 2010 as part of the show's 40th anniversary celebration. When she departed in 2005 (La Rue currently stars on "CSI: Miami"), Maria was headed to California to reconnect with her family.

Specific dates for La Rue's run haven't been set, but fans should see her on "AMC" again in mid-July. Until then, here's a bit of La Rue on the show from 2005, as she tries in vain to save...

Eva La Rue Returning to All My Children July 19
Eva La Rue, who has played Dr. Maria Santos Grey on ABC's Daytime Emmy-winning series All My Children, will make a return visit to Pine Valley this summer for several episodes.

From the very beginning, Maria Santos Grey stole the hearts of viewers and is best known for her fairytale romance with Edmund Grey (John Callahan). Together, the super-couple struggled to build a family of their own while La Rue's character endured many ups-and-downs. Last seen in 2010, Maria Santos Grey departed for California to reunite her family.

La Rue was nominated for a Daytime Emmy award and has won two Alma Awards and one Gracie Allen Award for her role on All My Children. She can currently be seen weekly on CSI: Miami. La Rue's return on July 19th is certain to be a summer highlight for viewers.

Recently nominated for a total of 13 Daytime Emmy Awards in 2011 and hallmarked...

Dr. Maria Santos Grey is hightailing it back to Pine Valley, people!

As the end of ABC’s All My Children draws near, former fan faves have been coming out of the woodwork for both quick cameos (Josh Duhamel as Leo du Pres) and big arcs (Cady McClain as Dixie Martin, Thorston Kaye as Zach Slater) — and now it’s Eva La Rue’s turn.

The CSI: Miami star, who last played Maria in January 2010 as part of her sister-in-law Hayley Santos’ (Kelly Ripa) documentary on Pine Valley, will appear in a handful of July episodes. TVGuide.com reported the news.

CSI: Miami’s Eva La Rue Back to All My Children
The long running ABC soap opera All My Children is finally coming to an end in September, and to give itself a good send off, the show is looking to bring back ex-cast members for one last appearance. With it being a soap, it doesn’t matter whatsoever if any of those characters have been dead for several years. TV Guide reports that the latest star returning to the soap is CSI: Miami‘s Eva La Rue, who will be returning as Dr. Maria Santos Grey for a number of episodes. Maria first appeared on the show in 1993, and left in 1997 only to return in 2002. She left for good again in 2005 and only appeared during the show’s 40th anniversary.

Other returning actors and actresses include Josh Duhamel, Thorsten Kaye, and Cady McClain. Kaye and McClain both play characters that are deceased, which has me wonder how they will return.

With cancellation imminent, the stars are flocking back to 'All My Children.' The latest? 'CSI: Miami' star Eva La Rue.

According to TV Guide, La Rue will return to Pine Valley as Dr. Maria Santos Grey this July. La Rue joined the show in 1993, left in 1997, returned in 2002 and then left in 2005. The actress recently stopped by the soap in 2010 to celebrate the show's 40th anniversary.

Besides La Rue, Josh Duhamel, whose character, Leo du Pres, is "dead" on 'All My Children,' will return for at least one episode. Duhamel's Leo was last seen plummeting to his death in a waterfall accident. However, his body was never found.

Look for Duhamel in August, with another episode possible before the September series finale.

Josh Duhamel Set for All My Children Encore – But How Will Leo Return?!
Susan Lucci, Debbi Morgan, Rebecca Budig, Cameron Mathison, and Darnell Williams in All My Children (1970)
For those All My Children fans who believe Ryan Lavery is Greenlee Smythe‘s soulmate, I’ve got two(ish) words for you: Leo du Pres. And praise the ever-decreasing soap gods, because Josh Duhamel will reprise his Emmy-winning role on the soon-to-be-gone ABC sudser this summer.

The Las Vegas alum and Transformers franchise star is set to return to Pine Valley as the loveable con-man for an episode (or maybe two, says EW.com, who first reported the story) in August, before AMC‘s very final bow this September.

Duhamel was last seen in Pv in November 2002 when Leo...

TV News: Anticipation
Anticipation

I’ve heard a lot of folk say that this is their favourite time of the year. They like the fact that it’s still pretty warm out, the fact that the leaves are starting to turn a little bit brown, the fact that the nights are a little bit cooler and it’s easier to sleep but it still stays bright to a pretty reasonable hour so the days still feel a little bit longer. But me, I love this time of year for a slightly different reason.

Anyone who’s been paying attention will know that San Diego Comic Con happened in the course of the last few weeks. And no matter how you feel about the ever increasing movie and media presence at this “Comic Con”, you can’t help but deny that the convention is a fantastic source of information and generator of anticipation for...

For All My Children's 40th anniversary, Julia Barr and more will be back
Susan Lucci, Debbi Morgan, Rebecca Budig, Cameron Mathison, and Darnell Williams in All My Children (1970)
There's reason to be hopeful about All My Children's move to Hollywood. Oh, yes, Thorsten Kaye has decided not to go -- bye, bye Zach -- but there's a list of stars lining up for the anniversary that's pretty spectacular.

In honor of All My Children's 40th Anniversary, Julia Barr is coming back as Brooke English. Also slated to appear are a bunch of other former AMC stars, including Eva Larue, Taylor Miller, Laurence Lau, Eden Riegel, Leven Rambin and the previously announced Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos.

Julia's return is a big get because she was such big part of the soap for so long. The two-time Emmy winner was on AMC from 1976 to her exit in 2006. This anniversary show will be a chance for fans to hear what Brooke -- Erica's rival for all those years -- has been up to.

Next in line is Eva Larue.

But those won't be the only alums making appearances on the special January 4 and 5 episodes of this soap opera. Here's a list of who else is expected to guest star:

Eva La Rue as Maria Santos; Eden Riegel as Bianca Montgomery Laurence Lau as Greg Nelson; Taylor Miller as Nina Cortlandt Warner;  Leven Rambin as Lily Montgomery; Julia Barr as Brooke English.

Which of these former stars are you most excited to see again?...
