Sarge was born Jeffery Linden Sargent, to James V and Carol L Sargent, in
Long Beach, CA. Studied Fine Arts, English, History, and the Natural
Sciences in Jr. College, and went on to major in Film at San Francisco
State University. Experiences in the multimedia industry prepared him
for the leap into VFX as a compositor at Tippett Studio on "Starship
Troopers". 4 years later, and a brief foray into the dot.com world, saw
him moving to Los Angeles, where he spent the next decade working as a
freelancer in film and television VFX.
