She wrote a song, titled "Charmed Chant," for the Charmed (1998) episode in which she appeared (Pre-Witched (2001)). As a result, she is now a member of ASCAP (American Society of Composers Authors and Publishers).

Gave birth to twin sons (her first two children) at age 39: John Rubén de los Reyes and Michael Luís de los Reyes, born May 13, 2014. Children's father is her late husband, Kamar de los Reyes.

Sherri's brother-in-law, Daniel de los Reyes, is a percussionist who is a member of the Zac Brown Band and a former member of the bands Earth Wind & Fire and Chicago.

Has a restored 1972 Dodge Charger in her car collection.

Her father is African American and her mother, Lois, is Caucasian (German).

She loves New York and divides/divided her time between there and Los Angeles.

When she and her Sunset Beach (1997) co-star, Timothy Adams, were sitting together in Aaron Spelling's office, she found out that she and Tim lived only 10 blocks apart in New York, had the same friends, and had worked as models for the same clients but, oddly enough, had never bumped into each other.

She transferred from Ohio State University after one semester, to New York University, where she got a major in psychology. While studying in New York, she did modeling work and worked as a waitress. She had planned to attend John Jay College later, to pursue a degree in criminal justice, but quit school because she got a job offer that took her to the West Coast.

Attended Oakview Elementary School in Kettering, Ohio.

Her late husband is actor and former One Life to Live (1968) co-star, Kamar de los Reyes.

Appeared in an infomercial, hosted by Victoria Principal and Catherine Crier, for the Principal Secret Reclaim skin-care system. (2008)
