One of Netflix’s biggest YA shows Ginny & Georgia is about to return with a third season, and while Season 3 is sure to be wild, Season 2 set the stage for that.
It’s been over two years since Season 2 hit Netflix in January 2023, so some details might be fuzzy. The ensemble cast between seasons will remain largely the same, with a few newcomers in the world of wealthy Wellsbury, where Georgia (Brianne Howey) has moved her children Ginny (Antonia Gentry) and Austin (Diesel La Torraca) for their latest chapter of life.

Ten years ago, writer/director Jason Krawczyk brought the world the horror comedy He Never Died, which introduced viewers to a badass immortal character named Jack (played by Henry Rollins), who had been around for thousands of years. The follow-ups planned for that film haven’t made it into production, but now, Krawczyk is back with the action comedy Don’t Mess with Grandma (which was filmed under the title Sunset Superman), starring Michael Jai White. I had the chance to watch the movie several months ago and had a lot of fun with it (you can read my 8/10 review at This Link), and a larger audience will have the opportunity to enjoy it when it reaches the free streaming service Tubi on January 24th!
Don’t Mess with Grandma shows us what happens when a drunk Army ranger must fight off the vicious robbers who plan to loot the cabin belonging to his sweet,...

Editor's Note: The following contains spoilers for Season 2 of the Netflix series, Ginny & Georgia. The second season of Netflix’s Ginny & Georgia picks up on the heels of the first, as Ginny (Antonia Gentry) runs away with her little brother Austin (Diesel La Torraca) after learning her mother Georgia (Brianne Howey) is responsible for the death of her stepfather Kenny (Darryl Scheelar). Kenny made an inappropriate pass at Ginny, reminding Georgia of her childhood where she was abused by her own stepfather, thus resulting in Georgia poisoning him and taking his money. However, unlike the Season 1 finale suggests, Ginny and Austin don’t disappear. No, instead they go to Ginny’s father Zion (Nathan Mitchell), who takes them in temporarily with no questions asked as Ginny and Georgia’s rage-inducing feud builds.

Two words that come to mind regarding the Season 2 finale of “Ginny & Georgia” are “shotgun” and “wedding,” but not in the way you might think.
Just as Georgia (Brianne Howey) marries Wellsbury Mayor Paul Randolph (Scott Porter) in the Cinderella-esque wedding of her dreams, Detective Gabriel Cordova (Alex Mallari Jr.) crashes the ceremony to arrest Georgia for the murder of Tom Fuller, whom she did, in fact, smother with a pillow. Season 2 ends with Georgia getting taken away in a cop car and her son Austin (Diesel La Torraca) chasing after her in tears.
“As heartbreaking as it was, I love the ending because again, life is contrast, life is joy and tragedy and nothing in life gets wrapped up in a perfect bow. So why would the Season 2 finale of ‘Ginny & Georgia’?” Howey says in an interview with TheWrap.

It’s been nearly two years since viewers last checked in with the titular mother-daughter duo of Netflix‘s Ginny & Georgia, but 10 all-new episodes will offer some clarity following Season 1’s major cliffhanger ending. Ahead of the show’s return on January 5, TV Insider spoke with showrunner, writer, and executive producer, Debra J. Fisher about what fans can expect from the drama. For those who may need a brief refresher, Ginny & Georgia follows the story of daughter Ginny (Antonia Gentry) and mom Georgia (Brianne Howey), who move from Texas to the wealthy fictional suburb known as Wellsbury, Massachusetts after the sudden death of Ginny’s step-dad and Georgia’s new husband, Kenny Drexel (Darryl Scheelar). (Credit: Amanda Matlovich/Netflix) Along with Georgia’s other child, younger son Austin (Diesel La Torraca), the trio begins to plant roots that were being threatened by Season 1’s end when Ginny was informed...
