After frolicking in Paris and leading the dolce vita in Rome, “Emily in Paris” is set for an interlude in Venice.

According to Luca Zaia, governor of the Veneto region, the hit Netflix show’s fifth season will shoot in the lagoon city between Aug. 5-15.

“This is extraordinary news, confirming how our region is increasingly attractive for major global audiovisual productions,” Zaia announced in a statement issued to Italian press over the weekend. The governor revealed that “Emily in Paris” director Andrew Fleming is currently scouting locations with the assistance of the Northern Italian region’s Veneto Film Commission and Venice-based production company 360 Degrees Film.

“It’s a source of pride to see Venetian talent promoting their region and bringing the name of Venice and the Veneto to millions of homes around the world,” Zaia added.

Netflix had no comment on Monday.

With filming of “Emily in Paris” season 5 now underway in France, Netflix has added a couple of new names to the cast of its hit show.

Bryan Greenberg, best known for “How to Make it in LA” and “The Mindy Project” and most recently seen in “Suits LA,” has joined the ongoing Parisian party and will play Jake, an American living in the French capital. Meanwhile, Michèle Laroque, a well-known and Cesar-nominated French actress and comedian known for films such as “Ma vie en Rose,” “Brillantissime” and “The Closet” will play Yvette, an old friend of Sylvie Grateau.

Greenberg and Laroque join fellow “Emily in Paris” newcomer Minnie Driver, who Variety announced has been cast in May and is set to play the royal Princess Jane.

Lily Collins’ Emily will meet a fellow American expat in the upcoming fifth season of Netflix’s hit comedy Emily In Paris. Bryan Greenberg (Suits LA) has joined the cast as recurring, playing Jake, an American living in Paris. Based on the 1997 cult film classic Romy & Michele’s High School Reunion that starred Mira Sorvino and Lisa Kudrow, the musical features a book by the film’s screenwriter Robin Schiff, music and lyrics by Gwendolyn Sanford and Brandon Jay (Orange is the New Black) and direction by Kristin Hanggi (Rock of Ages).

The No Good Deed star is set to reprise her role as Michele Weinberger opposite Mira Sorvino in a sequel to the 1997 comedy.

The hit Darren Star series starring Lily Collins will return for a fifth season, the streamer announced, with both Collins and Star confirming on Monday in a surprise announcement that Rome will continue to be an Emily in Paris locale.

“We’re thrilled with the incredible response to this season of Emily in Paris and excited to return for a fifth to continue Emily’s adventures in Rome and Paris!” creator Darren Star told Netflix’s Tudum.

Collins, who broke the news on Good Morning America, posted a reel on Instagram saying, “There’s no place like Rome.”

Netflix has dropped the trailer for Part 2 of Emily in Paris Season 4, and of course, all roads lead to Rome at the end of the latest installment.

“Sometimes all you need is a new perspective,” the clip teases in between shots of Emily (Lily Collins) with Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) and Camille (Camille Razat) in snowy France and Sylvie’s (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu) new hire Genevieve (Thalia Besson), another American employee joining Savoir.

Tension brews between Emily and Gabriel as Camille still hasn’t shared that she isn’t pregnant with her ex-fiancé. Meanwhile, Marcello (Eugenio Franceschini) might turn into more than just a business asset for Emily as he first comes to Paris “exploring some business opportunities.

Jvma hopes to acquire whoever Marcello works for, and Sylvie is keen to nab a meeting with him via Emily — which involves her going to Rome.

During the amfAR Gala at the Cannes Film Festival, which raises money for research to end HIV and AIDS, Winnie Harlow and Paris Jackson appeared onstage to auction off a walk-on role in a previously unannounced fifth season of the Netflix series. The winner of the auction shelled out €250,000 to appear in the series as well as the chance to attend the Season 4 premiere in Los Angeles. Harlow and Jackson also said that Season 5 of the popular series is scheduled to begin shooting in mid 2025.

Alan Cumming is opening up about Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion and the sequel that Mira Sorvino and Lisa Kudrow are soon to pitch to the studios.

Sorvino confirmed that the highly-anticipated follow-up to “Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion” is officially in the works, telling Us Weekly that both she and costar Lisa Kudrow will executive produce the sequel. Screenwriter Robin Schiff, who penned the 1988 play “Ladies Room” on which the 1997 movie is based on, will also return.

“She’s currently working on ‘Emily in Paris,’ so she’s finishing up her draft to present to the studio,” Sorvino said of Schiff’s sequel script. “Lisa [Kudrow] and I are wrapping up our deals as executive producers on it with the studio. We’re full force ahead.”
