Dark-haired leading German actor, on stage from 1946. Popular on screen during the 1950's, 60's and 70's in romantic roles, or as sympathetic innocents and dreamers. He was the German dubbing voice for Marlon Brando, Elliot Gould, Jean-Paul Belmondo and Ben Gazzara.
