Good Burger 2 is a fun nostalgia ride for fans of the original, capturing the same good-natured charm and chemistry between Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell. While the sequel leans heavily on nostalgia, particularly in the first half, Thompson and Mitchell's Abbott & Costello-style riffing and Mitchell's lovable portrayal of Ed make it a satisfying watch. Good Burger 2 adds new elements to the franchise, including the use of AI and automation, and brings in fresh characters, while still delivering the silly and charming humor that fans expect.
Belatedly arriving 26 years after its 1997 predecessor, Good Burger 2 positions itself as a fun nostalgia ride for fans of Nickelodeon's signature All That sketch and the innate chemistry between Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell. Good Burger 2 has just as much good-natured, family-friendly charm as the original Good Burger, but it also leans a bit too heavily into the aforementioned nostalgia, particularly in its first half.

New cast members have been revealed for Good Burger 2. In development for a streaming release on Paramount+, the sequel brings back Kel Mitchell and Kenan Thompson to reprise their respective roles as Ed and Dexter from the original film. Variety now reports that Good Burger 2 will also bring back Carmen Electra, Josh Server, and Lori Beth Denberg. These will be actors familiar to fans of the original Good Burger.
In the first movie, Electra played Roxanne, an employee of Good Burger's competitor Mondo Burger. She is paid by Mondo Burger boss Kurt Bozwell (Jan Schweiterman) to seduce Ed in order to learn the secret recipe for his famous "Ed Sauce," but she winds up getting herself badly injured with her failed attempt. Electra has not been acting in recent years, and this will notably be the first movie she has appeared in since 2015's Book of Fire.

The 1997 comedy Good Burger tells a goofy story of fast food employees trying to stop a competitor from finding out their secret sauce recipe, and it features Linda Cardellini in her film debut. One year later, the actor broke out as Lindsay Weir on the acclaimed TV series Freaks and Geeks, and in 2001, she played the small role of Chutney Windham in Legally Blonde. While she also portrayed Velma in the live-action Scooby-Doo movies and plays Laura Barton in the MCU, Cardellini is more renowned for her dramatic TV roles, including Meg Rayburn on Bloodline and Judy Hale on Dead to Me.
Similar to Carmen Electra's brief Good Burger role, Cardellini's character in the movie doesn't appear for very long. The '90s comedy Good Burger is about two competing fast-food places, and Carmen Electra appears in the movie for a short but important period of time. The film is adapted from the Nickelodeon All That sketch, with Kel Mitchell reprising his role of cashier Ed. Electra's character, Roxanne, works for Kurt Bozwell (Jan Schweiterman) who runs Mondo Burger. Roxanne interacts with Ed in a few brief scenes and while she doesn't have the character development of Ed or co-worker Dexter Reed (Kenan Thompson), she motivates Ed to continue on his journey to keep the restaurant in business and is more significant than her short screen time suggests.
Good Burger was released years before Thompson became a beloved cast member on Saturday Night Live, and Roxanne was Electra's second movie role after Sulka in the 1997 horror movie American Vampire. Electra is most recognizable for playing Drew Decker in 2000's Scary Movie,...

When Nickelodeon first launched in 1977, it seemed like little more than a child's answer to Saturday Night Live and MTV. In fact, it wasn't until Nickelodeon debuted the Canadian sketch series You Can't Do That on Television in the U.S. that this nascent network began to gain real traction amongst fans of all ages. Before too long, the basic cable channel became quite popular, especially with the launch of it's Nick At Nite line-up featuring such "classic" shows as Alf, The Facts of Life, Growing Pains and many others throughout the years. Viewership certainly proceeded to explode, turning it into one of today's favorite hubs for nostalgia of all kinds.
Nickelodeon had officially arrived in the 1990s, taking its signature brand to the big screen with Nickelodeon Movies in 1995. It wasn't until 1997, though, that this film division made its most iconic and beloved movie of all time: Good Burger.
