Vicious: Dakota Fanning, Bryan Bertino horror film removed from Paramount release schedule
Image
Dakota Fanning (The Watchers) and The Strangers director Bryan Bertino are teaming up for a horror movie called Vicious, which is coming our way from Paramount Pictures… but we don’t know when Paramount is going to decide to show it to us. Originally set to receive a theatrical release from Paramount in August of 2025, Vicious was pushed up to February 28th – but now, Deadline reports that the film has been pulled off of Paramount’s release schedule completely. They say, “The studio is looking to find a better date for the film.”

Scripted by Bertino, Vicious sees Fanning taking on the role of a young woman who is left a strange present by a late-night visitor, and quickly realizes she is fighting for her life after slipping down a disturbing rabbit hole contained inside the gift.

Fanning is joined in the cast by Devyn Nekoda (Scream VI), Mary McCormack...

Paramount Pictures' horror film Vicious will be released in theaters in February 2025
Image
2024 isn't even over yet, and we've already been hearing about a lot of new horror content set to be released in 2025. For example, Paramount Pictures will release its new horror film Vicious early next year, and you won't believe who's in the cast.

We first learned of this horror flick back in February 2024. At the time, it was reported that Paramount Pictures had boarded a new horror film titled Vicious and that Emmy nominee Dakota Fanning would be leading the cast. Bryan Bertino was also announced to be helming the film. Atlas Entertainment and Richard Suckle were signed on to produce with Melinda Whitaker as executive producer. The movie was also given a Aug. 8, 2025 theatrical release.

However, so much new information has come out about this film since then. For one, it will no longer be released in theaters in August 2025. Instead, its theatrical release has been pushed up to Feb.

New documentary Millennium After the Millennium looks back at Chris Carter’s beloved series and mulls its future potential

“Aliens and Near Dark star Lance Henriksen plays an ex-fbi agent who peers inside the minds of criminals and works for a sinister organization, all wrapped up in a viciously gory and supernatural bow” ...if you found out this was a brand new show about to materialize on TV this year, you’d get excited, so it’s easy to see why fans of Chris Carter’s dark-as-hell late-90s series Millennium still miss it so much.

Millennium, which ran for three seasons on Fox between 1996 and 1999 before being canceled as ratings dwindled, was a project aimed at letting the creator of The X-Files truly scare himself (and us) during an era when he was objectively at the height of his success, and the series welcomed a huge...

TV: I Love Six Feet Under and Intelligence!
Today, I'd like to talk about two TV series that I've taken the time to discover during this summer. First of all, since two fellow bloggers (Ivy and Blake) have talked about Six Feet Under, I naturally said to myself: why not give it a chance? Secondly, as for Intelligence, I was attracted to it, because I'm a fan of crime/espionage dramas.

Six Feet Under, season 1

The more I think about it, the more I'm convinced that HBO has every right to have this slogan: "It's not television. It's HBO." Now that I've gone through the first season of this immortal TV series, I became a fan of it and I strongly recommend it if a little bit of humour and drama is what you need to be elated.

Nathaniel Fisher (Richard Jenkins), the director of the funeral home Fisher and Sons, lost his life in a car accident.

Intelligence: Season 2 - DVD Review
There are a couple of things I hate. The first is being given a title to review of a show in its second season. The second, and more frustrating, is finding the show excellent and discovering that it.s cancelled and a third season isn.t coming. Intelligence lives up to its name, but alas season two is all there is going to be. Jimmy Reardon (Ian Tracey) is a family man, but he.s also a member of another .family.. He.s the head of a Vancouver multigenerational crime syndicate and his business partner is Ronnie Delmonico (John Cassini). His opposite is Mary Spalding (Klea Scott), the director of the Vancouver organized crime unit but is promoted to...

Hallmark re-ups 'Intelligence' for 2nd season
Chris Haddock
TORONTO -- The Hallmark Channel has re-upped the Canadian cop drama "Intelligence" for a second season, series distributors Daro Film Distribution and Thunderbird Films said Monday.

Monaco-based Daro Film and Vancouver-based Thunderbird Films said they extended their worldwide deal with Hallmark Channel for Season 2 of "Intelligence", from showrunner Chris Haddock ("The Handler").

The deal was unveiled by Pierre-Andre Rochat for Daro Film, Michael Shepard for Thunderbird and Mark Lawrence, Hallmark director of global acquisitions.

"Intelligence", which stars Ian Tracey as the head of a West Coast crime family and Klea Scott ("Minority Report") as head of a local crime unit, follows such other procedural dramas from Haddock as "Da Vinci's Inquest" and "Da Vinci's City Hall", which show a grittier side of Vancouver.

Pay TV checks in with Gemini noms
TORONTO -- Canada's two premium pay TV networks attracted attention and honors Tuesday as their cutting-edge series led all nominees for the Geminis, Canada's TV awards.

"Slings & Arrows," a dark comedy about a dysfunctional theater company, grabbed 14 Gemini nominations, while sci-fi drama ReGenesis followed with 12. Both series air on the Movie Network and Movie Central, the country's two premium pay TV networks.

Slings, which airs stateside on the Sundance Channel, is in its third and final season.

Other multiple nominees in the Gemini hunt include the crime drama Intelligence and the news information series The Fifth Estate. Both of the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. series earned 11 noms.

The CBC miniseries Dragon Boys pulled in nine noms, while rival CTV saw its telefilm Doomstown and comedy Robson Arms grab seven each.

Another CTV comedy, Corner Gas, earned six noms, while hit CBC sitcom Little Mosque on the Prairie surprised by garnering only two noms, in the direction and writing categories.

In the best dramatic actor category, Paul Gross and William Hutt of Slings will challenge John Cassini and Ian Tracey from Intelligence and Peter Outerbridge from ReGenesis.

The best dramatic actress contest will pit Martha Burns and Susan Coyne of Slings against Klea Scott of Intelligence.

Competition for Gemini hardware will be fought across 90 categories over four nights. Trophies in the news, lifestyle and minor drama and comedy categories will be handed out Oct. 15-17 in Toronto, while the more high-profile Geminis will be handed out Oct. 28 on the CBC network during a ceremony from Regina, Saskatchewan.

For the second year running, the CTV network is boycotting the news categories because, according to the network, its "participation in the awards is of little value."...
