According to Shriner, the surgeon ‘botched’ the foot surgery and he ‘basically couldn’t walk’ for six months. The good news was that his former Gh co-star and friend, John Stamos (ex-Blackie Parris) swung in for the rescue and recommended a stellar podiatrist at L.A.’s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Shriner recalled how an “arrogant surgeon” performed a “subtalar fusion” on him last year in a June 30 X video. “He botched it,” the actor explained. “So, for six months, I basically couldn’t walk.” According to the Cleveland Clinic, a subtalar fusion is a type of surgery that fuses together the two subtalar joints below the ankle so they become one. Following the procedure, Shriner said his “good pal” John Stamos recommended he check out a doctor at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. The doctor “redid” the surgery with much success, allowing Shriner to recover appropriately. “I’m down here in old Fort Lauderdale rehabbing this foot every day, every day, so that I can get mobile,” Shriner continued, joking that he has been breaking “attendance records” at a local gym.

Robinson died Monday on his ranch near Sedona, Arizona, actor and musician Mj Allen announced on Facebook. They worked together on the 2022 film Just for a Week.

During an acting career that spanned eight decades, Robinson worked alongside Burt Lancaster in The Young Savages (1961) and Birdman of Alcatraz (1962), both directed by John Frankenheimer, and with Addams Family icon Ted Cassidy in four films, all of which he directed.

The Florida native also starred as Vietnam vet Tim Ochopee, a Seminole with a pet rattlesnake who obeys his commands (for most of the movie, anyway), in the Everglades-set horror film Stanley (1972), from Crown International Pictures.

Just over a week since the passing of General Hospital alum Leslie Charleson, her co-stars Steve Burton and Bradford Anderson honored the late actress with their podcast.

A Storied Career

Daily Drama, hosted by Burton (Jason) and Anderson (Spinelli), typically posts new episodes every Wednesday. But since Charleson’s (Monica) death was announced on January 12, the podcast halted new episodes for a very special reason.

For the last two Wednesdays, Daily Drama has reaired its two-part interview with Charleson from 2019. After introducing the actress, Burton noted his gratitude for getting to work with both Charleson and Stuart Damon (Alan). “I couldn’t have asked for a better way to come into daytime than with Stuart and Leslie,” he said. “They became kind of like my parents, like, right away.”

Over the weekend, Leslie Charleson became the latest in a string of deaths that have plagued the show.

In a move viewers likely didn’t see coming, Chad Duell has announced that he’s leaving the pivotal role of Michael Corinthos, Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Carly’s (Laura Wright) son. Duell has played Michael since 2010. He replaced Drew Garrett, who replaced child actor Dylan Cash. There’s no word about how Michael will be written off the canvas. Meanwhile, the show has no plans to recast the character at this time.

Kin Shriner, who last aired as Scott Baldwin back in August, took to Twitter/X to respond to questions about the status of his attorney alter ego.
