Isle of Dogs (2010)
Excl: Director Tammi Sutton Talks 'Ripped-Off'
Isle of Dogs (2010)
With Isle of Dogs’ director Tammi Sutton’s latest feature Ripped-Off gearing up for principal photography in Los Angeles, CA this spring, we caught up with the filmmaker to discuss what happens when car thieves steal the wrong vehicle (this being a Sutton film, all sorts of stylized hell will break loose, more than likely). Read on.

Currently casting, Ripped-Off was written by Jeff Sisson, and will be produced by Caprice Conley, with cinematography by Jonas Navickas. The film’s tagline is as follows; “They stole the wrong car... Now heads are gonna’ roll."

“The inception of Ripped-Off honestly started when I was winding down filming my last two features in Europe and England,” stated Sutton (her last feature currently in release, the gritty Andrew Howard and Barbara Nedeljakova-starring crime thriller Isle of Dogs, bowed to DVD via Green Apples on January 28, 2014.)

“When I was there and homesick for Los Angeles,...

Horror Photog Joshua Hoffine Does it Again With Zombie Shoot Last Stand
Nobody does horror photography quite like the one and only Joshua Hoffine. So when we heard he released a new pic featuring a zombie attack, we had to share it with our beloved Dreadies as soon as possible!

The photo is entitled Last Stand, and it depicts exactly that, a family's final moments as their home is swarmed by an undead horde. The father in the picture is played by none other than Phantasm star A. Michael Baldwin. The picture is below with some of the details highlighted. Simply put, Hoffine scores again! Huzzah!

The cast includes Baldwin, Erica Kauffman, Sade Hoffine and Rev Mercader. The zombies were played by Bob Barber, Colin Mogg, Sonny Williams, Jen Hoffine. Brian Wendling, Davis DeRock, Henry Feltmeyer, Alice Pollack, Nathan Beggs, Dylan Thomas, Brett Johnson and Austin Goldberg. Make-up was done by "Face/Off" winner J. Anthony Kosar and "Face/Off" alum Meagan Hester with Jeffrey Sisson,...

Horror Photographer Joshua Hoffine's Zombie Photo Shoot Last Stand Leads to Greatest Harlem Shake Video Ever!
At one time or another we've all checked out a Harlem Shake video on YouTube. I enjoyed the Miami Heat's version, and the "Duck Dynasty" guys had a good one too.

But Joshua Hoffine's Last Stand photo shoot has produced the best one yet.

"The big photo-shoot took place on March 6 with my lead actor A. Michael Baldwin (Phantasm) and lasted for an exhausting 17 hours," Hoffine said. "Most of the time was spent on zombie make-up, led by the wonderful J. Anthony Kosar."

You can check out all of Hoffine's previous work, as well as pre-order Last Stand at a special discounted price for a limited time by visiting JoshuaHoffine.com. Also, 'like' Joshua Hoffine on Facebook and follow Joshua Hoffine on Twitter (@joshuahoffine2).

Hoffine is a brilliantly talented photographer, and we look forward to sharing Last Stand with you Dreadies as soon as it's released. Stay tuned!

FX artist's Troglodyte to appear in Kansas City
After working on the recent indies Jessicka Rabid and Dozers (see exclusive pics here), special FX artist/actor Jeff Sisson has unearthed his "Bigfoot-death metal band" Troglodyte for a rare festival appearance at the American Waste Metal & Hardcore Music Festival in Kansas City, Mo on June 6.

The band was formed in late 2006 by Sisson and C.L. Wilson. Sisson, a special make-up effects artist, created the masks the band wears during their live performances. Drawing musical influences from the likes of Carcass, Obituary and Origin, and hominid-horror movies such as, The Legend Of Boggy Creek, The Pit and Night Of The Demon, the band has craved/slashed out its own niche as the world's first Bigfoot death-metal band. Penning such "classics" as Sasquashed, They Walk Among Us, Beaten & Eaten, Skunk Ape-rape and others. Their music was used in the recent Lola Wallace/Tom Devlin Legend Of Sandsquatch, which was featured prominently in the film's trailer.

Dozers is the third feature on which the duo have teamed on those three key positions, after 2001’s Vengeance Of The Dead and 2002’s Jigsaw; they’ve also edited numerous flicks for Charles Band and David DeCoteau. “A few years ago, our homeless-zombie script Urban Decay was shot [by director Harry Basil] with Dean Cain,...
