Archstone Entertainment has acquired worldwide rights to “Saurus City,” an animated feature from Suspended Animation Studios, 405 Productions Inc. and Bonfire Entertainment.

The family-friendly adventure, blends cutting-edge 3D printing, handcrafted artistry and CGI. It also boasts an all-star voice cast including Ron Perlman (“Hellboy”), Emma Roberts (“We’re the Millers”), Dennis Quaid (“The Substance”), Tim Meadows (“Mean Girls”), Aimee Garcia (“Dexter”), and Julia Ormond (“Sabrina”). “Saurus City” is written and directed by Nate Smith (“The Light Before Christmas”).

The film follows a disgraced and battle-weary knight (Perlman) who answers a call to aid a young woman in distress (Roberts) — only to realize that the fate of the kingdom now rests in his hands. Archstone Boards ‘Chili Finger’ With Greer, Astin, Cranston and Goodman

Exclusive: Archstone has taken over international sales duties from Moonstone Entertainment to dark comedy Chili Finger ahead of the Cannes market. Set to shoot this summer in Central Illinois, the film is due to star Judy Greer, Sean Astin, Bryan Cranston and John Goodman. Gersh will continue handling domestic. Chili Finger tells the story of a recently empty-nested mother Jess (Greer) who discovers a human finger in her bowl of chili. When she blackmails the restaurant for a cash payout, the situation spirals out of control and her life descends into chaos. Edd Benda and Stephen Helstad, who wrote the script, will co-direct. Last year, we heard that WolfCop and Another WolfCop director Lowell Dean was heading into production on a post-apocalyptic film called Die Alone, with Frank Grillo (The Purge: Anarchy), Carrie-Anne Moss (the Matrix franchise), and Douglas Smith (Don’t Worry Darling) in the lead roles. Archstone Entertainment has acquired international rights to “American Dreamer,” a dark comedy starring Peter Dinklage, Shirley MacLaine, Kim Quinn, Matt Dillon and Danny Glover. Paul Dektor (“Frayed”) directs a script written by Theodore Melfi (“Hidden Figures”).

The movie is based on a true story from Chicago Public Radio’s ”This American Life” and follows Dr. Phil Loder (Dinklage), a low-level adjunct professor of economics at Harvard, whose grand dream of owning a home is tragically out of reach — until an incredible, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity comes his way when a lonely, childless, near-death widow (MacLaine) offers Phil her sprawling estate for pennies. But Phil quickly learns the deal is too good to be true.

Dinklage is best known for his work on “Game of Thrones.” MacLaine won an Oscar for “Terms of Endearment” and starred in “The Apartment” and “Postcards From the Edge.” Dillon’s credits include “Crash” and “There’s Something About Mary.

The film marking the directorial debut of Fiona Robert, who also stars, is set for release in June.

Vertical Entertainment has acquired North American rights from Archstone Entertainment to the card industry documentary Behind The Card.

Vertical has set a November 18 day-and-date release and Archstone continues international sales at the AFM on the film highlighting the ongoing rise of a sports card industry that can turn people into overnight millionaires.

The documentary explores the industry’s path from card creation to the end buyer since it started more than a century ago, and covers market manipulation, card theft, online scams, technological innovations, and the personal stories of fans.

Legendary actor James Caan passed away at the age of 82 back in July – but well before he passed away, he had already shot his scenes for the creature feature thriller Dark Harvest, and Variety reports that the producers and directors Andrew Dymond and André Gordon are planning to shoot the film’s final scenes in January. The movie will then be released sometime later in 2023.

Archstone Entertainment announced that they have acquired the worldwide rights to late actor James Caan’s final film, the creature thriller “Dark Harvest.” The film also stars and was written by Rich Manley, and is directed by Andrew Dymond and André Gordon.
