At the Family Guy San Diego Comic-Con panel today, the cast and producers revealed the Halloween and Holiday specials are returning exclusively to Hulu this year. The Halloween special, the first of the two Hulu exclusive specials, will premiere Monday, October 6, on Hulu.
In the Halloween special, “A Little Fright Music,” Brian and Stewie realize there is a shortage of quality Halloween songs, so they set out to write a hit, and Peter and the guys discover that lying about trick or treating can have deadly consequences.
Season 24 of Family Guy will premiere in 2026 on Fox and stream on Hulu. The series continues to entertain its die-hard fan base with razor-sharp humor, spot-on parodies, spectacular animation and orchestra-backed original music.
Since its debut in 1999, the series has reached cult status among fans, and its breakout star, a talking baby, has become one of the greatest TV characters of all time.

Family Guy is heading back to Adult Swim, over three years after it stopped airing on the network and 20 years after the Warner Bros. Discovery helped revive it.
The cable network has struck a non-exclusive licensing deal for the rights to old episodes of Seth MacFarlane’s Fox animated series and will launch it in the new year.
This comes after Comedy Central struck a similar deal earlier this year and launched it in a primetime block. The series also airs library episodes on FX and Fxx and Hulu is the exclusive streaming home for the series.
Adult Swim is part of the reason that Family Guy still exists; the show was canceled by Fox after its second season. Cartoon Network subsequently acquired the library rights to the show, reportedly for a very low fee, and aired it on its Adult Swim strand, where alongside DVD sales, it started to...

Exclusive: CAA will be shopping Cold Blooded: The Apollo Gym Murders, based on a 10-episode podcast by Scott Weinberger about the 40-year old cold case murder of a Florida bodybuilder, bound with his throat slashed in his townhouse in Miramar.
Framed around a decade of drug trafficking and steroid-fueled scary guys who shook down drug dealers, the podcast paints a picture of a series of brutal murders of members of a hardcore bodybuilder gym. The gym was a front for crime, and one of its owners had mob ties, and the other was an ex-police officer once called the meanest cop in Florida, with a long string of arrests and allegations of police brutality. The gym was a front for unsavory criminal activity and strong-arming, much of it perpetrated by the gym members who lifted heavy weights and competed in local bodybuilding competitions.

Exclusive: Family Guy is set to air on Comedy Central as part of an adult animation block after the Paramount network struck a licensing deal with Disney.
The deal will see the Seth MacFarlane-created series launch on Comedy Central on September 2, joining animated series such as South Park, Futurama, and Beavis and Butt-Head.
It highlights the fact that while licensing deals for network shows on cable is a rarity in the new world of streaming, it isn’t completely dead. The deal is non-exclusive with prior seasons continuing to air on FX and Fxx, while Hulu is the exclusive streaming home of the show.
It comes after Family Guy is being moved to midseason on Fox, the first time that Peter Griffin and his family aren’t on the fall schedule. Family Guy, as well as The Simpsons, are heading into its final season of a two-season renewal. Hulu...

The show’s cast also brought the house down Friday with a live table read of upcoming episode “The Edible Arrangement” and nine performances of musical classics from the series as the show celebrates its 25th anniversary.
Without giving too much of the goodness away, the episode the cast did a table read for — written by Travis Bowe — is titled “The Edible Arrangement.” It’s centered on Lois and Stewie bonding after consuming a few of Brian’s weed-infused gummies. The episode features the first time Lois has ever heard Stewie talk, which provides Stewie with the perfect opportunity to tell her all about his old plot to murder her.

While the hosts of The Today Show‘s third hour were lampooned in a recent episode of Seth MacFarlane’s adult animated sitcom Family Guy, they made it clear on Friday’s show that they’re taking the joke in stride.
“Yes, we made Family Guy!” said weatherman Al Roker, with co-host Dylan Dreyer adding, “This is like the highlight of my career!” after tossing to a clip.
The scene in question from January 9 episode “Mister Act” sees Griffin patriarch Peter (MacFarlane) present his wife Lois (Alex Borstein) with an exercise bike as a gift. “I thought you’d like it,” he says. “I saw it on the Today show.”
“2nd Hour with Hoda [Kotb] and Savannah [Guthrie],” asks Lois, “or 3rd Hour with the nonsense people?”
“2nd Hour,” Peter then assures his wife.
“[This is] your fault,” joked co-host Sheinelle Jones, with reference to Roker.

Seth MacFarlane and Fox’s “Family Guy” team want you to understand how the Covid-19 vaccine works so badly that they sent Stewie and Brian inside Peter’s body to show you.
The new three-minute short, which you can view above, was written by the “Family Guy” writers in collaboration with MacFarlane and a team of scientific experts and epidemiologists. It’s intended to “educate, entertain and encourage the millions of unvaccinated citizens around the globe to feel confident getting vaccinated against Covid-19.”
Described as “part ‘Schoolhouse Rock,’ part educational film from high school science class, but told with all the irreverence and hilarity for which ‘Family Guy’ is known,” the PSA shows Peter Griffin (voiced by MacFarlane) at the doctor’s office debating getting the shot, when Stewie (also MacFarlane) and Brian teleport inside his body and explain how vaccines work before Peter gets the shot from Dr. Hartman.

Family Guy‘s entire catalog of past seasons soon will be available only on Disney-owned networks and platforms. Beginning on Sept. 20, comedy-focused Fxx and corporate sibling Freeform will become the exclusive cable homes to the series’ reruns from Seasons 1-19. Hulu continues to be the exclusive Family Guy streaming platform.
In a competitive situation, FX Networks in 2019 landed off-network rights to Family Guy, starting with its 16th (2017-18) season, also shared with Freeform. At the time, the older seasons of Seth Macfarlane’s animated hit remained on Adult Swim/TBS. The show now will permanently leave its longtime cable home on the Turner networks.
Additionally, as part of the ongoing efforts to bring the libraries of all signature Disney-produced series under the Disney umbrella, Fxx has nabbed non-exclusive rights to animated series Futurama, which will join the network in November. (It is unclear whether Futurama will leave Syfy at that...

Both “Family Guy” and “Bob’s Burgers” have been picked up for two additional seasons each at Fox. The renewals will see “Family Guy” run through Season 20, while “Bob’s Burgers” will run through Season 13.
“’Family Guy’ and ‘Bob’s Burgers’ are key pillars of our network’s success,” said Michael Thorn, president of enteratinment for Fox Entertainment. “By taking the genre to new heights and driving pop culture in meaningful ways, they’ve laid the foundation for making Animation Domination one of the most powerful program blocks in all of television. Both of these two-season renewals affirm once again our commitment to animation and empower us to continue in our build as the leader in the space with distinct and fresh new comedies. We’d like to thank Seth, Loren and their entire teams, not to mention our partners at 20th Television, and we’re excited to continue these great shows with them.

Exclusive: Fox has locked in two of the tentpoles of its Sunday animation block for two more years. The network has renewed flagship Family Guy for Seasons 19 and 20 and the Emmy-winning Bob’s Burgers for a 12th and 13th season. The two long-running series, along with animated stalwart The Simpsons, come from 20th Television.
The Simpsons was picked up for an unprecedented 31st and 32nd seasons in early 2019 as former Fox sibling 20th TV was about to move to Disney as part of a $71.3 billion asset acquisition. I hear talks are underway on a major Simpsons renewal too.

Family Guy is paying tribute to the late Adam West on tonight’s season 17 finale.
In a preview clip, Brian the dog suggests changing the name of James Woods High School to Adam West High.
At first, the family questions Brian’s proposal. But he states his case by mocking conservative actor Woods and wins everyone over.
“James Woods is an embarrassment to Quahog. He’s a political troll and a maniac on Twitter,” Brian says.
Everyone quickly comes around and Peter says, “I’ll make a special video dedication reminding people of how great Mayor West was.”
The late Batman TV star voiced the role of Mayor West from 2000 until his death in 2017.
As for Woods, last month Twitter locked his account over a tweet the platform considered threatening in nature. The conservative star later said in a statement to The Daily Wire he would no longer be using the platform.

Suck is a rockumentary in the similar vein as Spinal Tap as characters dumbfoundedly get involved in some sticky situations. The stickiness here is blood. Cameras follow the members of a touring rock band who choose vampiricism to heighten flagging music sales. An off the wall premise is taken into hilarious realms with help from sketch comedian and actor David Foley. Others in the cast and on camera include Malcolm McDowell, Iggy Pop, Alice Cooper and many others. Watch the puns fly in this second trailer for Suck below.

A: They do, they really, really do. The Flying Monkey spent the last two weeks at the Television Critics Association conference in Los Angeles, the place where the networks roll out their new fall shows and showcase their acting talent, and I was pretty surprised by how many actors mentioned something they’d read on our site.

Now I’m not stupid: I know that some of this is plain old sucking-up on the part of the celebrity in an effort to get good press (although the concept of a celebrity sucking up to me is a little surreal).
