There are a lot of iconic video game soundtracks, but none are quite as magical as Fallout’s. There’s a strange alchemy to the way the franchise pairs its ultra-violent combat and desolate, post-apocalyptic setting with wistful mid-century ditties. The music isn’t a mere accompaniment to the gameplay; it’s the beating heart of the series and has made the games so enduring and beloved they’ve spawned an Amazon Prime TV show. In other words, without its licensed soundtrack, Fallout wouldn’t be the phenomenon it’s become.

Rudy Giuliani has been arrested.

The former New York mayor and lawyer for Donald Trump surrendered to authorities in Georgia on Wednesday, following his indictment last week on 13 charges related to his role in the effort to overturn the 2020 presidential election. Giuliani’s bond was set at $150,000 after his legal team met with Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis earlier on Wednesday.

In 1986, Tony Scott's "Top Gun" was the highest-grossing film of the year. Audiences flocked to see its newest movie star Tom Cruise, fresh off of "Risky Business" and "The Outsiders," frolic around a sun-kissed dreamscape of Coronado, California. Military recruitment booths were set up outside theaters, and naval aviator applications skyrocketed. With no active war and the scars of Vietnam slowly fading away with the younger generation, many young men wanted a taste of the glamorous and sexy pilot's life portrayed on screen.

It is 2022, and "Top Gun: Maverick" hit past the 1 billion mark at the worldwide box office. Time is a circle. There's a lot to unpack about how the film industry has changed in the 36 years in between these two films, but the success of "Maverick" exposes a few constants. One, Tom Cruise is still one of the biggest stars in Hollywood, a sentiment universally shared by many film enthusiasts.

“Billionaire Class,” a new one-hour drama hailing from Malcolm Spellman and Eric Haywood is in development at Fox, TheWrap has confirmed.

The logline is as follows: “A brilliant but disillusioned billionaire’s executive assistant (Jo) teaches a charismatic, fast-talking street hustler (Miles) how to walk, talk and act like a billionaire in order to con her employer’s super-wealthy friends into using their money to help the less fortunate.” The series is billed as a “high-stakes wish-fulfillment drama, offering a complex vision of wealth, race and equity in America.”

Haywood and Spellman will serve as executive producers, reuniting since their time together on the same network as producers on “Empire,” starring Taraji P. Henson. The former will also write, while Ray Smith will co-produce. Executive producers are Nichelle Tramble Spellman and Eli Dansky under The 51 banner, Five All In The Fifth’s Douglas Banker, Trevor Engelson of Underground and Maurice “Mo” Marable.

During this week’s Cma Awards, three new inductees into the Country Music Hall of Fame will be recognized. Along with legendary fiddle player Johnny Gimble and singer-songwriter Dottie West, both being recognized posthumously, eight-time Cma award winner Ricky Skaggs will be honored and is also listed as a performer.

The features are: Drew Bolduc‘s hotly anticipated Science Team, the follow-up to his masterful exercise in offensiveness, The Taint; the acclaimed penile documentary The Final Member by Jonah Bekhor and Zach Math; Olivier Beguin’s new twist on vampirism, Chimeres; and the fighting cannibal action of Evil Feed by Ray Smith.

The short films include international offensiveness and gore from such far-flung places as Italy, Belgium, Estonia, Australia and, of course, the good ol’ U.S. of A.

Making for quite the unfortunate situation, Anita Baker is battling the law over a issue that arose three years ago.

According to the Detroit Free Press, a bench warrant was issued for the 56-year-old singer after failing to appear at a creditor’s examination this past year as part of a lawsuit.

The Grammy winner was accused of not paying a local painting and decorating company $15,000 for work that was done to her Grosse Point, Michigan home.

Shocked by the latest news, Miss Baker took to her Twitter account and wrote, “Whattt??!!... sittin’ in the kitchen watching this on TV. Big time crazy. Atty on his way to TV station. Devil sho is busy.”

Michael Burton has been appointed as Cutting Edge’s new CEO.

Burton succeeds Ray Smith, who stepped down as CEO last November to concentrate on his candidacy as Labor mayoral candidate for Brisbane.

Burton has previously served as the company’s Cto, and held the joint positions of managing director and head of outside broadcast and reality TV (working on projects such as Big Brother, I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here, Fox Sports Cricket and Ten’s Afl broadcasts.

Burton is expected to enhance Cutting Edge’s services acroos post-production, VFX, broadcast and digital media.

Cutting Edge has announced that company founder John Lee will step down from his role at the company, and will be succeeded by an executive chairman – former Super Cheap Auto CEO Bob Thorn.

According to a Cutting Edge spokesperson, Lee’s interest in the company “will terminate as of October 31″. Lee will now take up his position at the board of Ausfilm.

In a statement, Lee said he is “truly excited” about the next chapter of his life.
