John Mellencamp's two sons, Speck, 18, and Hud, 19, have had felony battery charges filed against them in Monroe County, Ind. and warrants have been issued for their arrest in connection with a fight in late July, reports the Indianapolis Star. Police Capt. Joe Qualters says a third person, Ty Smith, son of Indiana University baseball coach Tracy Smith, has also been charged in the incident. According to court documents, the three men came to the house of a fourth man on July 29 and allegedly beat him up, in response to Spech thinking the man had punched him at a party earlier that night.
The affidavit says that Speck punched the man and he fell to the ground, then the three alleged assailants kicked, punched and stomped on the man until his roommates heard the commotion and intervened.
