'2gether' Star Comes Clean About His Drug Addiction
Noah Bastian in Electra Woman and Dyna Girl (2001)
2gether star Noah Bastian has come out about his drug addiction and now, he's making a serious effort to change.

Bastian played "The Shy One," Chad Linus, in 2gether, the fake boy band that MTV formed in the early 2000s known for tunes like "U+Me=Calculus" and "Say It (Don't Spray It)." But in the past few years, Bastian's life has taken a turn for the worse.

The singer has been battling a serious meth addiction, and took to Facebook to open up about his struggle. (The post as since been deleted.)

"Everyone needs to know that this is hard for me to admit and please, please be gentle with your messages to me because despite what you think you know of me, I am Nothing more than a human being with feelings and emotions who is asking for nothing from anyone. This is a project that will help...

First Listen: Hear 2Gether Back In the Studio!
The guys of 2Gether are back together -- and we've got your first listen of them in studio singing "Regular Guy."The fake MTV boy band, known for songs like "U+Me=Us (Calculus)" and "The Hardest Part of Breaking Up (Is Getting Back Your Stuff)," has its first concert in 10 years tonight and it's clear they're fired up.The 4 living members of the group, Evan Farmer, Kevin Farley, Alex Solowitz and Noah Bastian, are performing a "reunion" show Friday at the Jon Lovitz Comedy Club at Universal CityWalk -- and a portion of the proceeds will go towards the Michael Cuccione Foundation, named after the member of the group who died from cancer back in 2001. As TMZ previously reported, the band is filming the show themselves and will package it for MTV -- who will then decide whether or not it will air on the network.Congrats on the reunion guys!

A 2gether reunion? Please, let it happen!
With both the Backstreet Boys and New Kids on the Block reuniting within the past year (yet no reunion in sight for 'N Sync), it was only a matter of time before fake boy bands would want to get in on the action.

The four remaining members of 2gether, the spoof band created by MTV in 2000 to poke fun at the late '90s teen girl phenomenon, are trying to get their fake-but-kinda-real band back in action.

According to Perez Hilton, Alex Solowitz, who played Mickey "The Rebel" Parke in the TV movie and subsequent TV series, posted the following message on his Facebook page urging fans to help their reunion wishes go viral: "Ok, here's the plan I need everybody, all of you to tell everyone about this. we need this to go insanely viral so MTV can't turn us down. You all have done an amazing job of blowing this up,...

Channel Surfing: ABC to Revamp Edgar Floats, Undercovers Recasts, Weatherly to Return to NCIS, Criminal Minds Cuts Female Cast, and More
Welcome to your Tuesday morning television briefing. Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello is reporting that Rand Ravich's ABC drama pilot Edgar Floats, which recently received an order for six additional scripts, will be completely reconceived, with nearly all of the original cast--including series leads Tom Cavanagh and Alicia Witt and supporting players Derek Webster, Alex Solowitz, and Raoul Trujillo--getting the axe. (Only Robert Patrick will remain.) Deadline's Nellie Andreeva, meanwhile, has some further insight into the decision made by ABC. "People have been divided on Cavanagh's performance, while Patrick has been almost universally hailed as the pilot's scene stealer," she writes. "I hear ABC brass like the idea of Edgar Floats and the central character but the project is being re-conceived, with the six additional scripts still being written." [Editor: seeing as Edgar Floats was my favorite broadcast pilot of the development cycle, I'm gutted by this news.] (Entertainment Weekly's Ausiello Files, Deadline) Mekia Cox (90210) has been cast in Jj Abrams and Josh Reims' upcoming NBC drama series Undercovers,...

TV Bites: ABC Replaces Nearly Every Edgar Floats Cast Member, Tom Cavanagh Included
· There are pilot recastings and then there are pilot recasting massacres -- and today's news about ABC's drama pilot Edgar Floats falls into the latter. The network ordered six scripts from writer Rand Ravich and is considering Edgar for midseason pickup... with an almost entirely different cast. That means that lead Tom Cavanagh (R.I.P. Ed) as well as co-stars Alicia Witt, Derek Webster, Alex Solowitz and Raoul Trujillo have all been forcibly removed from the project. Robert Patrick is the only actor remaining on the series, about a police psychologist-turned bounty hunter. [Deadline]

NCIS secures its lead for a few more years, USA Network gets into the ice cream business, and more TV Bites after the jump.

ABC Replacing Almost Entire Cast of 'Edgar Floats' Pilot
Tom Cavanagh

Tom Cavanagh can't catch a break these days. First, his TNT series 'Trust Me' was yanked after one season, and now, ABC is replacing him as the lead in the upcoming drama pilot 'Edgar Floats.'

But Cavanagh isn't the only actor getting the boot from 'Life' creator Rand Ravich's upcoming character-driven procedural. The network has opted to replace almost everyone in the cast, including Alicia Witt, Derek Webster, Alex Solowitz and Raoul Trujillo, according to the Ausiello Files.

The only survivor? Robert "T-1000" Patrick, who can seemingly still dodge a bullet almost 20 years after 'Terminator 2.'

Edgar Floats (2010)
Scoop: ABC's 'Edgar Floats' gets major overhaul
Edgar Floats (2010)
There’s retooling a pilot, and then there’s gutting a pilot. ABC and Warner Bros. are choosing to do the latter with Edgar Floats, the highly touted character-driven procedural from Life creator Rand Ravich and starring Tom Cavanagh.

Although reps for ABC and Warner Bros. declined comment, sources confirm that the network and studio have jointly decided to part ways with nearly the entire cast, including Cavanagh and costars Alicia Witt, Derek Webster, Alex Solowitz, and Raoul Trujillo. That leaves Robert Patrick as the only Edgar thesp still attached to the show.

An insider close to Edgar says the pilot,...

Dark Ride (Horrorfest Flashback Review)
Ever since it took off three decades ago with the likes of Halloween and Friday The 13th, the teen-slasher subgenre has been an unstoppable force in horror cinema. These films are a pleasure for certain scream fans and regular Friday-night moviegoers alike—and not a guilty one, despite what they’ve become. The youth-stalker flicks of today have become formulaic and largely substance-free, with the same group of annoying characters being (thankfully) killed off in pretty much the same order under the same circumstances.

So what keeps us coming? Even though they’ve been done to death, some of these killfests—such as Dark Ride, (part of the After Dark Horrorfest)—are simply done well. Director Craig Singer, who penned the film with Robert Dean Klein, doesn’t deviate much from the formula but rather embraces it, taking us on a far-from-perfect but fun and bloody ride.

A group of (surprise!
