    His porn alias Prudence Prevails was inspired by a letter Sparks received from a lawyer asking him for money. The lawyer wrote that he hoped that prudence would prevail and Sparks would write a check for the lawyer thereby paying him the money he claimed Sparks owed him. Sparks thought that the prudence prevails comment in the letter was so funny that he in turn made Prudence Prevails his pseudonym for various hardcore movies he shot throughout the 70s.
