Evangelion Returns to Its Original '90s Anime Roots With New Recreation of Misato's Iconic Car
Image
The Neon Genesis Evangelion franchise is most known for its iconic mecha, but these aren't the only rides in the series. Now, another notable vehicle from the series is joining a long-running line of toy cars, but it's no Eva unit.

The Tomica Premium Unlimited No. 08 Rebuild of Evangelion Alpine Renault A310 is based on Misato Katsuragi's car from the classic anime series. Tomica has released toys for several cars and vehicles from anime, and the legendary mecha franchise has now entered the garage. Ironically, despite its designation, the new toy is based on the first iteration of Evangelion and not the newest.

Boruto: Konoha 11's Children, Ranked By Strength
Image
Whether biological or adopted, many ninja from the new generation seen in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations are children of characters from Naruto that fans have become familiar with over the years. It's become apparent that many of these next-generation ninja will supersede their parents in power, and some may already have, proving strong enough to catch them off guard with their abilities on more than one occasion. In some cases, they've even managed to get one over on their parents, as Kawaki had with his Daikokuten to Naruto and Hinata.

While there is still a fair bit of Bortuo: Naruto Next Generations left to adapt, with the story continuing most recently with the manga, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, it will be quite some time before any further anime adaptation is done given the statements made by Studio Pierrot and Kishimoto on the subject. That said, fans sticking primarily to the...

Why Funimation Never Dubbed Evangelion 3.0 + 1.0
Image
Rejoice, "Evangelion" fans of America, for you finally have a chance to see the saga's conclusion in a theater. "Evangelion: 3.0 + 1.0 Thrice Upon A Time" had a (very successful) theatrical run in its native Japan, but international audiences had to settle for a Prime Video release in August 2021. GKids has since acquired the North American distribution rights and has partnered with Fathom Events for theatrical exhibitions. After a one-night IMAX screening on November 30th, the film is playing during the week of December 6 in theaters across the U.S. These showings will exclusively show the subbed version of the film: Japanese audio, English subtitles. If you prefer your anime dubbed, you're out of luck.

This is the latest in a long line of hurdles dub watchers face in getting into "Evangelion." For starters, the "Rebuild" films which "Thrice Upon A Time" concludes have two English dubs — an incomplete one done by Funimation,...

‘The Crown’ Puts Both Diana, Camilla In Sympathetic Light
Image
Controversy and debate surround season five of “The Crown,” but Elizabeth Debicki has largely been praised for her portrayal of Princess Diana.

Debicki, best known for her work in the limited series “The Night Manager” and films including “Guardians of the Galaxy” and “Tenet,” said she prepared for the role more than any previous job she’s had.

A delay of filming due to the pandemic allowed for extra time to study and perfect the Princess’ mannerisms and way of speaking.

“When I wrapped I thought, ‘Well, I’ve done my best. Now we’ll see,’” said the French-born Debicki, who moved with her family as a child to Australia.

She was first told producers had her in mind for the role after she auditioned for a small part in season two, which she says did not go well.

“I was really confused about the part they were asking me...
