Seen on: March 18, 2009
The players: Directors: Zach Cregger, Trevor Moore, Writers: Zach Cregger, Trevor Moore, Cast: Molly Stanton, Holly Hindman, Trevor Moore, Sara Jean Underwood, Zach Cregger
Facts of interest: None at all.
The plot: Two morons embark on a road trip to the Playboy mansion to track down one of the guys' former girlfriend.
Our thoughts: I’ve already seen plenty of utterly crappy movies this year, but Zach Cregger and Trevor Moore’s lame comedy “Miss March” may just be the worst one yet. Neither funny nor remotely interesting, this unnecessary mess of a movie is one of those failures that suck the money out of your wallet and offer you absolutely nothing in return.

I should probably preface this review by saying that I am not at all familiar with the Whitest Kids You Know, save for the fact that they are a comedy group and they apparently have a show on IFC that a number of people are fans of. Two of that group’s members, Zach Cregger and Trevor Moore, not only star in, but also write and direct Miss March. Having seen this effort, I’ll say that I’d be willing to give their show a shot -- but only if there was nothing else on.
You’ve probably already heard the plot synopsis by now, but considering how that only covers about ten minutes of the film, I’ll give you a little more. Eugene Bell (Cregger) is about to lose his virginity on prom night; but he gets too drunk and falls down a staircase landing him in a coma for four years.

Chicago – Zach Cregger and Trevor Moore – best known as members of the TV comedy troupe “The Whitest Kids U’ Know” (now on the Independent Film Channel) – make their directorial feature-film debut with the release of “Miss March”.
Rating: 2.5/5.0 “Miss March,” which opens on March 13, 2009, is a sex comedy that also stars Cregger and Moore as Eugene Bell and Tucker Cleigh, a couple of high school goofs who are looking to score. Tucker is the rampant horny boy in the scenario, while Eugene is a purer soul, hoping to lose his virginity on prom night with his girlfriend Cindi (Raquel Alessi).
HollywoodChicago.com sat down with Zach Cregger and Trevor Moore to talk about doing feature films versus sketch comedy world and where the horny boy sex comedy fits in the internet age.

The weekend buzz is starting to wind down about "Watchmen" and its box office opening, with the Zack Snyder helmed film pulling in around $55.6 million as far as estimates go. Next weekend, the Warner Bros. Pictures film faces off against Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures' Andy Fickman helmed "Race to Witch Mountain." With Dwayne Johnson starring alongside Carla Gugino, AnnaSophia Robb and Alexander Ludwig, the family sci-fi adventure comedy opens in 3000+ theatres, aiming to snag kids and teens. Gugino will most likely be looking at a first and second place at box office as the multi-talented actress forms one of the “Watchmen” leads. Horror “The Last House on the Left” corners the genre with around 2,300 venues served. Remake based on Wes Craven’s original film of 1972, is newly screen-written by Adam Alleca and Carl Ellsworth. Sara Paxton, known for roles in TV’s “Aquamarine” and “Darcy’s Wild Life,” stars alongside,...

The “Watchmen” charge into theatres by Peter Dimako, Editor Warner Bros. Pictures’ “Watchmen,” one of the most anticipated releases ever, finally finds release this weekend in 3,611 locations nationwide. Ratings around the web from every day readers as well as writers have been positive with the majority liking the film. Two of our writers gave this a solid 4/5 ratingand were impressed with helmer Zack Snyder’s workmanship. The film stars Malin Akerman, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Carla Gugino, Billy Crudup, Patrick Wilson, Jackie Earle Haley, Matthew Goode, Stephen McHattie, Matt Frewer, Niall Matter and Sonya Salomaa. Posting a top spot is a given, the question is, how much and will the hype pay off? Have you ever seen a chick unlocking a door with her tongue? If not, check out the trailer for "Miss March" right after the jump.
Written and directed by Zach Cregger and Trevor Moore, this upcoming comedy follows a guy who embarks on a trip to the Playboy mansion after he wakes up from a four-year coma and discovers his former sweetheart has become a centerfold.
Okay, the basic idea doesn't sound all too rotten, but as you can see in this preview, "Miss March" looks like a pretty simplistic, raunchy comedy filled with brainless slapstick.
Besides Cregger and Moore, the film also stars Raquel Alessi, Molly Stanton and Alexis Raben, among others. Release is set for March 13.
Check out the trailer below and share your thoughts. I've had it with all these road flicks for a while.

WB bumps episode orders for drama, comedy series
WB Network has picked up additional episodes from two freshman series. The one-hour Related has received an order for six segments, bringing its season total to 19, while the comedy Twins, which stars Sara Gilbert, Molly Stanton and Melanie Griffith has been given a five-episode pickup for a total of 18. The reduced back-orders for Related and Twins are said to be partially related to the ongoing process of cost-cutting throughout the divisions of Warner Bros. Freshman series normally get a nine-episode back-order for a full-season 22 episodes, a procedure WB followed with its best-performing new show, hot drama Supernatural.
