New Zealand pace bowler Lockie Ferguson likely to miss entire Tri-series at home
Image
Christchurch, Oct 9 (Ians) New Zealand fast bowler Lockie Ferguson could likely miss the entire Tri-series at home ahead of the Icc T20 World Cup in Australia as New Zealand Cricket (Nzc) want to give him as much time as possible to recover from an abdominal injury.

The Black Caps did not risk the 31-year-old quick in the match against Pakistan on Saturday and coach Gary Stead said managing Ferguson’s injury was a priority going into the T20 World Cup.

Ferguson was also absent from last year’s World Cup in the UAE with a calf injury and New Zealand are making it doubly sure he doesn’t get sidelined again.

“Lockie has a little ab injury at the moment,” head coach John Stead was quoted as saying by The Cricketer. “We’re just managing just that and the most important thing is we get to the start of the...

Interview: Laura Vandervoort and Greyston Holt discuss ‘Bitten’
Syfy’s “werewolf” series Bitten stars is based on the bestselling author Kelley Armstrong’s Women of the Otherworld series of novels. In anticipation of the season 2 debut, we sat down with stars Laura Vandervoort and Greyston Holt to discuss the show and what we can expect from the new season…

Greyston, I know Laura you already talked about this, but can you talk about kind of your character’s experience being with the witches and how it’s going to kind of change Clay this season?

Greyston Holt: Yes. I mean, I think it just – it broadens all of our horizons a little bit you know. It’s a big bomb to drop in our world that there was – there were others out there with you know supernatural abilities and there’s a whole new world that’s opened up and I think it’s just kind of...

James Bond 007: revisiting Goldfinger
Sean Connery as Bond. Honor Blackman as Pussy Galore. Auric Goldfinger. Oddjob too. Our 007 lookbacks arrive at the iconic Goldfinger...

For many this is the Bond film. The quintessential Bond facing the ultimate villain who utters the greatest line midway through the most iconic scene. Plus you have the coolest henchman, the best car, the most memorable death, the loudest song, and the Bond girl with the silliest name. Plus Honor Blackman could easily lay a claim to being the premier leading lady. While Goldfinger can’t claim all the aforementioned categories, there’s little doubt that the film is a peak, a marrying of critical acclaim and popular appeal rarely achieved since.

The Villain: Monumental. A hugely charismatic figure and the most jovial of baddies, the Big Man utterly dominates the film. He interacts with Bond perhaps more than any other antagonist: over golf, cocktails and, immortally, beneath a laser.

Cyborg Soldier Trailer Premiere
In 1989 there was a film called Cyborg (JCVD in the Maison!!!). In 1998 the great Paul W. S. Anderson made a film called Soldier. And now, following this once-a-decade tradition, comes the film Cyborg Soldier. It was all leading to THIS. Cyborg Soldier, directed by celebrated stunt coordinator John Stead and co-written by John Flock, the genius behind the Fortress franchise, is a movie about...I dunno.....a soldier programmed to kill who goes in too deep or something. It’ll be out on DVD on October 7. It stars UFC champ Rich Franklin and Bruce Greenwood who plays Sarek in the upcoming Star Trek film, so that’s enough of a selling point for me. Enjoy the world premiere of the trailer!
