A California Court of Appeals restored to CBS the sole right to distribute “Jeopardy” and “Wheel of Fortune” while the company’s legal dispute with Sony over the game shows proceeds.
The ruling overturns an April 10 decision allowing Sony to distribute the game shows.
“Pending disposition of this appeal, the trial court’s order of April 10, 2025 finding that ‘Sony can begin distributing the Shows and need not deliver episodes to CBS’ is hereby stayed, including all matters embraced therein or affected thereby by the trial court’s order,” the three-judge panel said in a statement obtained by TheWrap.
The decision by Judges Gonzalo Martinez, John Segal, and Natalie Stone means that CBS retains distribution rights for both shows for the rest of the court battle, effectively tabling Sony’s deals until the dust settles.

Updated, 2:31 Pm: Sony and CBS spun the wheel one more time this month over who controls Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune, and the still Shari Redstone-owned company hit the game show jackpot.
Solidifying what a three-judge panel from the Second Appellate District temporarily put in place last month, that same panel has now ruled that CBS will remain the sole distributor of the lucrative Jeopardy! and now Ryan Seacrest hosted Wheel.

Time for an exclusive bit of lunacy from the upcoming British import Crypt. Stick that in your Friday end-of-day work clock countdown and smoke it. Or don't smoke it. That could be bad. Instead just check 'em all out. Then smoke something else.
Nicola Posener, Mark Harris, Peter Woodward, Natalie Stone, and Lucy Drive star.
Synopsis
Crypt tells two interconnecting stories played out in parallel, intersecting with each other. The first story follows five twenty-somethings who, on the hunt for some excitement, break into an abandoned church/convent only to become the victims of the horrors that lurk within. The second story follows the church’s investigation into the tragic "accident" that resulted in the deaths of the group that broke into the church.

I know, I know, you’re confused, too! The thing is that Mark Murphy‘s upcoming horror movie obviously has two titles at this moment. Both of them are quite cool actualy – The Convent (sounds solid for a horror) and Crypt (even better, if you ask me). But that’s not so important right now, because we finally have a completely new images from the whole thing, and I’m sure you’re going to love it!
So, in case you’re not so familiar with Murphy’s horror movie debut, I will first inform you that the whole thing blends classic supernatural horror with a modern found footage twist, and will tell us two interconnecting stories played out in parallel, intercutting with each other.

Just a few days ago we let you know about the new film from director Mark Murphy. Today we have the first stills for you, both behind-the-scenes and otherwise. Read on for more and to inject a little demonic action into your weekend!
"Nearly halfway through the shoot, and luckily the only deaths and disasters are all happening on screen," says Murphy. "Today we shoot a key scene which will have people talking for years to come. Feeling like a mole man having spent so much time filming in the crypt, but we're getting gold on a daily basis. Very much looking forward to seeing this on the big screen but will sorely miss working with such an amazing cast and crew; expecting big things from Nicola Posener, Tom Leeper, Charley McDougall, Sabrina Bussandri and Lucy Drive."
