FBI Star's Underrated Survival Horror Movie Will Soon Be Streaming
Image
FBI star Missy Peregrym's overlooked horror movie Out Come the Wolves has found a streaming home. The survival film will debut on Hulu on Friday, June 20.

Out Come the Wolves is a reunion for Peregrym and director Adam MacDonald. The duo collaborated on the project after previously working together on his 2014 movie Backcountry -- which pitted Peregrym against a vicious black bear. And according to MacDonald, the two films have much more in common.

Peregrym is once again battling the forces of nature in Out Come the Wolves, when a hunting getaway into the forest takes a terrifying turn. Her character Sophie, Sophie's boyfriend Nolan (played by Damon Runyan) and her friend Kyle (Joris Jarsky) must all fight for their lives when they are methodically hunted by a pack of wolves.

MacDonald directed Out Come the Wolves based on a script by Enuka Okuma and Tyler Russell. The director...

Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 5 Episode 5 Brings Back A Familiar Face After The Most Disturbing Scene Of The Season
Image
Yes! When they mentioned Me Warner on Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 5 Episode 4, I was disappointed she wasn’t on-screen.

I didn’t expect her to ever be, given Tamara Tunie’s commitment to Beyond the Gates, but I was thrilled about her cameo on Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 5 Episode 5.

It was exactly what we needed after a disturbing, violent, and all too realistic episode that resulted in multiple deaths.

(Virginia Sherwood/Peacock) The Story About The Spezzano Family Took A Grisly Turn (And That’s A Good Thing)

Mob families are violent.

Law & Order: Organized Crime had to be careful when it was on network TV so that it didn’t run afoul of the rules, but even then, it depicted levels of violence usually reserved for cable-only or streaming series.

(Anyone remember that cut-off ear during Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 2?)

Maggie's Big Ella Decision Is Absurd & FBI Season 7 Is Better Off Walking Back On It
Image
Warning! Spoilers for FBI season 7, episode 6 - "Perfect"

Maggie's (Missy Peregrym) decision about Ella (Rose Decker) in FBI season 7, episode 6, "Perfect," is too ridiculous for the procedural to allow it to stand. Maggie's relationship with Ella in FBI was originally intended to be temporary, as she was taking care of her while Ella's mother, Jessica (Charlotte Sullivan), was recovering from an aneurysm. Unfortunately, Jessica died on the operating table, so Maggie took Ella in full-time to honor her best friend's wishes.

However, during "Perfect," Maggie questions her decision to do so. Although she is initially resistant to the idea of giving Ella's uncle, Kevin (Jeremy Gabriel), full custody, Maggie eventually decides this is in Ella's best interest, telling him: "I really wanted to be able to do this, but if I keep Ella, I'm putting her in harm's way." Yet there is still time for Maggie to change her mind...

Maggie's FBI Season 7, Episode 6 Twist Sets Up Missy Peregrym's Exit
Image
Warning: Spoilers for FBI season 7, episode 6 ahead.FBI season 7, episode 6, "Perfect," includes a twist that could be the perfect set-up for Maggie (Missy Peregrym) to leave the series. Maggie has been the legal guardian for her friend Jessica's (Charlotte Sullivan) daughter, Ella (Rose Decker) since the end of season 6. It started when Jessica died unexpectedly in surgery while Maggie was temporarily taking care of Ella. Maggie's struggle to be there for Ella is a recurring part of FBI season 7, though Ella has mostly been off-screen until now.

"Perfect" offers Maggie multiple parenting challenges while she pursues a serial killer who targets young women and kills them by allowing them to bleed to death after removing their uteruses. The case interrupts an argument with Ella's biological uncle about what custody arrangement is best for Maggie's daughter in FBI. Later, Maggie also learns that a suspect has been stalking her and has photos of Ella.

Who Is Ella In FBI Season 7? Maggie's 'Daughter' Explained
Image
Warning! Spoilers ahead for FBI season 7, episode 6, "Perfect."FBI season 7, episode 6, entitled "Perfect," includes a subplot about Maggie's (Missy Peregrym) struggle to find time for her adopted daughter, Ella. The girl was introduced near the end of season 6 and is a recurring part of the FBI season 7 cast. Maggie is sharing custody of Ella with Ella's uncle, who expresses her concern about Ella acting out at school and hitting another child. However, the uncle believes Ella needs a stable environment and thus should live with him full-time, which Maggie initially resists.

Maggie is unable to deal effectively with this conflict because she is called out to a case involving a serial killer who is targeting young women and killing them via botched hysterectomies after abducting them. During the case, she is scared when she learns that a suspect who she had previously arrested has been stalking both her and Ella.

Will Maggie Find Love in ‘FBI’ Season 7? Missy Peregrym Teases Her Shifting Priorities
Image
Last season ended with Special Agent Tiffany Wallace (Katherine Renee Kane) completely spent after a harrowing struggle to track down and finally kill the terrorist who murdered fellow agent and friend Hobbs (Roshawn Franklin). She was so burned out that she quit the FBI’s New York office. As Season 7 begins, it turns out that kind of feeling is catching: Special Agent Maggie Bell (Missy Peregrym) is reconsidering her future as she’s struggling to raise Ella (Rose Decker), the young daughter of her late friend and colleague Jessica Blake (Charlotte Sullivan). “She loves Ella and feels fulfilled caring for her, and she wants to provide stability and joy,” Peregrym explains, “but the demands of her job create conflict within her. Is she doing enough?” So far, she’s confiding in her partner Special Agent Oa Zadar (Zeeko Zaki) and Assistant Special Agent in Charge Jubal Valentine (Jeremy Sisto). “You...

FBI Season 7: Cast and Character Guide
Charlotte Sullivan at an event for The Kennedys (2011)
FBI's three-year renewal deal means our favorite fictional federal agents will keep New York safe from terrorist threats for a while.

Most of the time, FBI's cast doesn't change much from year to year, though there have been some new additions (and sad subtractions) over the years.

Let's examine who is returning and who each actor is outside of their role on FBI.

FBI Will Have The Same Cast, But There's a Twist

The same detectives will star on FBI as in years past, but there's a twist: CBS will have the FBI cast rotate throughout episodes, as NBC did with the Law & Order shows when they finally returned from the strike-extended hiatus.

This means that some characters will be missing from each episode. Hopefully, there will be good on-screen reasons for their absences.

This decision includes characters like Isobel and Jubal, who are supposed...

Image
FBI doesn’t go home with the agents or explore their lives outside of work much, but it’s doing so in a significant way—stretching slowly over multiple episodes and culminating in the latest—with Maggie Bell (Missy Peregrym) in Season 6. And that included a Rookie Blue reunion for Peregrym, with Charlotte Sullivan coming in to play her character’s friend and former colleague, Jessica Blake, a single mother. “I was so excited that Charlotte said yes to doing the show. She always just brings such a great energy. She’s so talented, and it just was so nice to have someone that I know that I could really genuinely just feel that with,” Peregrym tells TV Insider. “We have such small arcs on this show, so to be able to have somebody that I already had a connection with made it really fun to go to work. FBI twist: Who got killed off?
Missy Peregrym at an event for Defendor (2009)
The FBI universe is no stranger to killing off characters, and Tuesday’s latest episode of the original series left us with more questions than answers as a death hit very close to home for Maggie (Missy Peregrym).

The series’ Rookie Blue reunion with Peregrym and Charlotte Sullivan ended in tragedy this week, as Jessica was shockingly written out of the show.

Throughout the episode, we watched the friends work on a case together while Maggie tried to decide whether she was ready to become a mother.

“I’m just not sure that I’m ready for the stress of it all—and the uncertainty,” Maggie admitted in a somber scene, with Jessica responding:

“I get it. You want control, but that’s just not how this works.”

Throughout their mission, Maggie is left wondering whether her friend was in danger after they thought she was exposed to a ricin-cyanide...

Will ‘FBI’ Tragedy Lead to Life-Changing Development for Maggie?
Image
[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for FBI Season 6 Episode 6 “Unforeseen.”] FBI doesn’t explore the personal lives of its agents too often, but it’s doing so with the current arc for Maggie (Missy Peregrym)—motherhood—in all the right ways: by taking time with it. But then tragedy strikes. Maggie has been talking to her friend and former colleague, Jessica (Charlotte Sullivan), about being a mother, and now, she tells her boss, Isobel (Alana De La Garza), during her annual review, “I was thinking about IVF. I’m not sure that I’m going to do it. I want to. A big part of me wants to, but it’s a lot. I mean, just even getting pregnant, let alone the motherhood part.” Whatever she decides, Maggie has Isobel’s support. The case then takes priority: A man is killing people with ricin, modified with cyanide. (It reminds Maggie of the sarin gas.) After the second victim is ...

Josh Hartnett and Antoine Olivier Pilon in Most Wanted (2020)
FBI schedule includes a break before new episodes return
Josh Hartnett and Antoine Olivier Pilon in Most Wanted (2020)
The FBI universe may have just returned to the air after almost a year off, but sadly, we’re already getting a short break in the schedule.

Unlike in the past, this latest hiatus has nothing to do with the show’s production schedule.

Instead, the shows on the broadcast network will take a breather on Tuesday, March 5.

After such a long break between seasons, a surefire way to ruin the momentum for FBI, FBI: International, and FBI: Most Wanted is to put them on hiatus.

But this time, it’s necessary. There was the hope that with all CBS dramas airing truncated seasons, the breaks in the schedule would be pretty much non-existent.

The three FBI universe series have aired three episodes, so we’re still very early into their latest runs.

When will the FBI universe return to CBS?

All three shows will return on Tuesday, March 12. FBI...

Hallmark delivers all kinds of content across Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies& Mysteries.

Summer is unofficially over, which means it's time to Fall Into Love on Hallmark Channel, and Fourth Down and Love merges two of America's favorite fall pastimes -- Hallmark movies and football.

It seems like the perfect time to rank all of Hallmark's sports-related content, while offering you a sneak peek into Fourth Down and Love.

Given how much Hallmark content features pumpkin patches, Christmas tree lots, bakeries, and other small-town fare, it might not surprise you that there aren't many sports-related movies from our favorite networks.

That makes this endeavor much easier from my perspective, and it ensures that if you've missed any or all of the movies, you can watch them without much effort. Let's get started!

Tony Goldwyn, Maura Tierney, Hugh Dancy, Reid Scott, Mehcad Brooks, and Odelya Halevi in Law & Order (1990)
Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 1 Episode 7 Review: Everybody Takes A Beating Sometime
Tony Goldwyn, Maura Tierney, Hugh Dancy, Reid Scott, Mehcad Brooks, and Odelya Halevi in Law & Order (1990)
What? Richard Wheatley and his family are in jail with another episode to go before the end of the season?

I did not see that one coming.

Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 1 Episode 7 focused mostly on the operation to get Wheatley and his associates, but I expected him to get away again.

Wheatley is crafty, determined, and conscienceless, so even his arrest is unlikely to be the end of his illegal activities.

Mob bosses are notorious for managing to conduct their business behind bars -- including ordering hits on their enemies. And Wheatley has already proven he will kill anyone who gets in his way.

So Silvano and anyone else he even suspects of having a role in turning him in had better watch their backs!

The whole subway sequence leading to Wheatley's arrest was one of the most exciting sets of scenes so far, though.

Charlotte Sullivan at an event for The Kennedys (2011)
A game of cat and mouse. In this exclusive clip from Thursday, April 22's all-new Law & Order: Organized Crime, undercover detective Gina Cappelletti (Charlotte Sullivan) finds herself alone with crime boss Richard Wheatley (Dylan McDermott). While the conversation seems innocent enough, it appears both Gina and Richard are sizing each other up. The clip starts off with Gina making her way down to Richard's exclusive and incredibly private wine cellar. Before long, she's joined by Richard, who gives the undercover detective a fright. "Sorry," a flustered Gina states. "I was just looking for Richie." "If you find him, bring him back upstairs," Richard...

Mary Kills People Season 2 Episode 2 Review: The Connection
Everyone gets their hands dirty (or dirtier) on Mary Kills People Season 2 Episode 2 and it's a helluva wild ride.

No other show would even attempt to cram the Big Bad shooting a henchman in the head, the ex-partner setting up a new business venture, the Big Secret leaking (again), two clients crossing over, the undercover cop from last season reappearing, And the teen finding a new love interest all into one episode.

And yet, Mary Kills People manages to take all that crazy hot mess and produce beautifully poignant moments of thoughtful humanity.

Heather: The way I see it, you have a choice. You can believe in nothing or you can believe in something. And I choose something. What about you?

Jess: I was raised by atheists. I'm a godless child.

Permalink: I was raised by atheists. I'm a godless child. Added: March 17, 2018

Even Jess didn't annoy me so much this time around.

How do you talk to a stranger when you don't know who you are either?

When an amnesiac man (Diego Klattenhoff) wakes up after a car crash and starts finding dead bodies, he soon realises that something is vey wrong. But there's worse to come when the cause of the deaths emerges. It's him. Anybody who comes within a 50 foot radius of him dies.

That's the plot of Caroline Labrèche and Steeve Léonard's Radius, which screened at Fantasia earlier this year and is now available on VoD. Charlotte Sullivan plays the only person seemingly unaffected by the man's curse. She took the time to tell us how she got involved with the film.

"My agent had read the script and really loved it, and I think one of the unique factors was, well, usually when you're female and you're looking through scripts - and this is not always the...

First Trailer for Canadian Sci-Fi Thriller 'Radius' About a Deadly Man
Epic Pictures Releasing has unveiled the trailer for a Canadian sci-fi thriller film titled Radius, which just played at Fantastic Fest and the Fantasia Film Festival this year. The concept for this film is pretty wild - a man wakes up from a car crash with no memory of who he is. He discovers that he has a dangerous power - anyone who comes within a 50-foot radius of him dies instantly. Yeah. How's that for a concept? Starring Diego Klattenhoff, along with Charlotte Sullivan, Brett Donahue, Bradley Sawatzky, and Nazariy Demkowicz. One of the quotes in this trailer compares this to Memento, where they have to go back and figure out what happened and what's going on, and how to stop this. I'm curious, seems like it could be cool. Here's the first official trailer (+ poster) for Caroline Labrèche & Steeve Léonard's Radius, from YouTube: Liam wakes from a...

Frightfest 2017: ‘Radius’ Review
Stars: Diego Klattenhoff, Charlotte Sullivan, Brett Donahue, Nazariy Demkowicz, Terry Ray | Written and Directed by Caroline Labrèche & Steeve Léonard

Liam wakes from a car crash with no memory of who he is. As he makes his way into town to look for help, he finds only dead bodies, all with strange pale eyes. Liam’s first assessment is that a virus is present in the air and starts taking every precaution. But he soon discovers the horrible truth: anyone who comes within a 50-foot radius of him dies instantly. Then he meets Jane with whom he seems to have some sort of bizarre connection. However neither is prepared for the terrifying and appalling truth that binds them together.

It would seem, based on Radius and their previous work Sans Dessein, that co-writers and co-directors Caroline Labrèche & Steeve Léonard have a fascination with the human condition and how much control we have,...

Caroline Dhavernas Teases Assisted-Suicide Series Mary Kills People: 'There's Comedy in the Deepest Drama'
Mads Mikkelsen in Hannibal (2013)
There’s no need for a spoiler alert when talking about Caroline Dhavernas‘ new series. Her character’s big secret is right there in the title: Mary Kills People.

But unlike the protagonist of Dhavernas’ former series, Hannibal, the lead in Lifetime’s new drama ends lives for mercy — not art (or dinner).

Mary is a medical doctor who, unbeknownst to her family, provides suicide assistance to the terminally ill on the side. Season 1 already aired in Dhavernas’ native Canada, a country that recently voted to legalize the practice.

Caroline Dhavernas in Mary Kills People (2017)
At first glance, the exclusive trailer for Mary Kills People — as well as the title of Caroline Dhavernas’ new Lifetime drama itself — may make you think that the Hannibal alum is back on familiar, murderous ground.
