In 2023, Rajiv told GQ that he had intentions to land another big role after Mean Girls wrapped – the lead in The Life of Pi. However, things did not go according to plan.

“While we were shooting Mean Girls during my first year of college, I found out they were turning The Life of Pi into a film.

Lindsay Lohan is expanding her Netflix credits with a new holiday rom-com, Our Little Secret, alongside co-star Kristin Chenoweth. Lindsay Lohan looked so fetch while making a surprise appearance at the “Mean Girls” premiere in New York City on Monday night.

The original “Mean Girls” star celebrated the premiere of the musical movie with writer-producer Tina Fey, who reprises her role as Ms. Norbury from the 2004 comedy classic, and Angourie Rice, who takes on the lead role of Cady Heron.

Lohan and Fey were joined by original cast members Daniel Franzese, who starred as Damian, and Rajiv Surendra, who played rapping mathlete Kevin Gnapoor.

Will any of them make a cameo in the film? “I couldn’t possibly say, but we do have some fun cameos,” Fey told Variety on the pink carpet. “Ashley Park is in the movie, Tim [Meadows] is in the movie — we have some fun influencer friends. But you’ll just have to come see it this Friday.”

Last month, cast members from 2004’s Mean Girls — including Lindsay Lohan, Amanda Seyfried, Lacey Chabert, and more — reunited for a series of Walmart commercials, but one person was notably missing: the one-time leader of The Plastics herself, Rachel McAdams. Now, in a new interview, McAdams has offered a perfectly Regina George-esque explanation for her absence.

“I don’t know; I guess I wasn’t that excited about doing a commercial if I’m being totally honest,” she revealed to Variety. “A movie sounded awesome, but I’ve never done commercials, and it just didn’t feel like my bag.”

Continuing, McAdams clarified that she was unaware of the “reunion” angle of the ads. “I didn’t know that everyone was doing it,” she said. “I would, of course, always love to be part of a Mean Girls reunion and hang with my plastics, but yeah, I found that out later.

Now, Jonathan is explaining why he didn’t participate.

“I was filming so I couldn’t do it but it was so fun to see everyone reunite,” he told E! News. “Everyone wants to know if we’d do a sequel and I think the mass consensus to my knowledge of our cast is of course we would.”

Rachel McAdams also chose not to participate and she just explained why she turned down the gig.

Lacey Chabert, who starred as Gretchen Wieners in 2004’s Mean Girls, is opening up about her reunion with former co-stars Lindsay Lohan and Amanda Seyfried for Walmart’s Black Friday ads.

The actress told Yahoo Entertainment, in an interview published online Wednesday, that filming the commercials “was even more fun than it looked.”

“It was a really special day to be with Lindsay and Amanda again and to reminisce about the experience we had together, which is just so unique, and to catch up with each other,” Chabert added. “We’re all moms now! It was really a full-circle moment.”

Walmart recruited much of the original cast, including Lohan, Seyfried, Chabert, Daniel Franzese and Rajiv Surendra, to star in a Black Friday marketing campaign. Throughout the month of November, the retail giant is releasing new commercials featuring the cast every Wednesday leading up to Black Friday and Cyber Monday on Nov.

Lacey Chabert’s Gretchen Wieners is back for another Mean Girls Walmart Black Friday ad.

The new ad spot (below) sees Gretchen’s new clique that she formed after her days at North Shore High School: the Wieners household.

“I am so getting you white gold hoop earrings for Hanukkah,” she says to her teen daughter. “What gold? It’s giving 2004,” her daughter replies before Chabert quickly cuts in, “Irregardless, I don’t think your grandfather, the inventor of Toaster Strudel, would be too pleased to hear you using that tone with me.”

Later, Chabert also tried to make “bop” happen, while listening to ‘Milkshake’: “Throwback Wednesday! I love this song. What a bop.” But her daughter was not having it, telling her mom, “Please don’t say bop.”

If you missed it, earlier this week Lindsay, Amanda Seyfried and Lacey Chabert got into character as Cady, Karen and Gretchen in the commercial, which revealed what all three women had done with their lives since the movie.

They were joined by fellow co-stars Daniel Franzese and Rajiv Surendra, who played Damian and Kevin Gnapoor, respectively!

As it turns out, those new mean girls are Gretchen Wieners’ daughter and her friends, as Gretchen herself (Chabert) pulls up and tells her to “Get in sweetie, we’re going deal shopping!”

With the holiday shopping season on the horizon, the chain store revealed a new ad campaign this week that reunites the cast of “Mean Girls” – including original stars Lindsay Lohan, Amanda Seyfried, and Lacey Chabert. In the nearly two-minute commercial, which almost immediately went viral after its debut, the three actresses reprise their roles from the 2004 teen classic, albeit as grownups. Lohan is now the school’s guidance counselor – a role played in the original film by writer and star Tina Fey – while Chabert fills the role of the “cool mom” made famous by Amy Poehler. (Neither Poehler nor Fey appear in the spot.) Seyfriend’s Karen is now a local weather reporter.

“It was so nice being back together after all these years. It was great catching up with everyone,” Lohan said in a statement.

The former actor, famously known for playing the role of rapping mathlete Kevin Gnapoor in Mean Girls, left the industry because he wasn’t selected as the lead in Ang Lee’s Life of Pi.

“While we were shooting Mean Girls during my first year of college, I found out they were turning Life of Pi into a film,” Surendra told GQ.

“I was determined to get that part. So I dropped out of college to go to the little town in India where the book takes place so that I could do some in-depth research.”

Forgive us for being slightly skeptical when Lindsay Lohan declared on "The Tonight Show" last night that a possible "Mean Girls" reunion is in the works.

The comedy, written by Tina Fey, came out 10 years ago at the end of April, and Lohan revealed that there are plans brewing to reunite the cast and crew for some kind of celebration.

"I saw Tina and she mentioned doing a reunion," the actress told host Jimmy Fallon. "She said she was talking to Lorne [Michaels] about it. She's talking to the big boss."

Lohan's already been part of a mini-"Mean Girls" get-together; last month, she posted an Instagram photo of herself hanging out with actors Daniel Franzese (Damian) and Rajiv Surendra (Kevin G).

But a mega reunion? How fetch would that be? (Yeah, we're still trying to make fetch happen.)

Lohan this week met up with the actors Daniel Franzese and Rajiv Surendra, who played two of the movie's most memorable characters, the Huffington Post reported.

Lindsay Lohan has reunited with two of her former Mean Girls co-stars.

The actress posted an Instagram photo of herself with Daniel Franzese and Rajiv Surendra earlier this morning (February 14), along with the hashtags "#youcantsitwithus" and "#soquiche".

Lohan starred as Cady in the cult 2004 comedy, while Franzese played classmate Damien and Surendra played Mathlete and wannabe hip-hop star Kevin G.

It is the second photo in as many weeks that Lohan has shared of herself reunited with Franzese, after she previously posed with him outside a bar in New York.
