James Franco’s The Disaster Artist Will Stage World Premiere At SXSW 2017; Midnight Lineup Revealed
With little over a month to go until Austin plays host to SXSW 2017 for another year, organizers of the annual showcase have announced that James Franco’s drama The Disaster Artist has been added to the stacked lineup.

Based on Greg Sestero and Tom Bissell’s non-fiction book The Disaster Artist: My Life Inside The Room, Franco’s passion project is set to recount the infamous story behind The Room, Tommy Wiseau’s widely-derided pic that has since gone on to become something of a cult classic. No release date has been set, but we know that the feature will be written and directed by Franco, who stars as the eccentric Wiseau, and features a cast comprised of Dave Franco, Seth Rogen, Josh Hutcherson, Ari Graynor, Jacki Weaver, and former Community star Alison Brie. Bryan Cranston and Zach Braff are among those set to cameo.

‘Jane the Virgin’ Showrunner Defends That Major Love Triangle Upset
Justin Baldoni, Gina Rodriguez, and Brett Dier in Jane the Virgin (2014)
Warning: The following contains details from the “Jane the Virgin” episode that aired Monday. Read at your own risk.

“Jane the Virgin” has a message for Team Rafael: you’re free. No longer will fans of Justin Baldoni’s character need to get upset when it comes to his love triangle with Jane (Gina Rodriguez) and her husband Michael (Brett Dier). That’s because the show finally killed off the love triangle for good when Rafael realized that he no longer had romantic feelings for Jane.

It’s a bold move for the series, which had relied on the love triangle’s tensions since the pilot. Creator Jennie Snyder Urman spoke to reporters after a screening of the episode to discuss the reasons for killing off this reliable romantic comedy trope.

Star Wars: Episode VII - Possible New Spoiler Details
Old Red Jalop

Latino Review has come out with a few bits of new information regarding J.J. Abrams' Star Wars: Episode VII. There's no proof that any of this is accurate as it comes from inside sources, but Latino Review has a solid track record. That being said, if you don't want to see any Spoilers then don't read ahead.

We really have no concrete idea of what Abrams is doing with Star Wars, but I have no doubt that it will be awesome. The following points of information mentions a female villain, Boba Fett, Mandalorians, and gives insight into John Boyega's character.

Now on to the possible spoiler stuff from Lr:

There will be a female villain. Over 50% sure she's a Sith.Despite having 30 Years after Jedi to set one up, there is No New Republic at the start of Episode VII.Boba-Fett-similar armor is around.

The ultimate 'Star Wars' character tournament: We call every match in the bracket
Anthony Daniels, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, James Earl Jones, David Prowse, and Kenny Baker in Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977)
It’s been literally days since the last bit of Star Wars franchise news was cast into the pit of the Internet, the nesting place of the all-powerful Fanboy, who slowly digests every new piece of Star Wars information over a thousand years, like some kind of purely theoretical pit-dwelling epicurean tentacled arthropod. Fortunately, the good people at the LucasFilm/Disney/Sheinhardt empire have saved us from boredom by launching a new Star Wars Character Tournament. You guessed it: It’s bracket time! The tournament lets you vote for 32 of your favorite Star Wars characters in a whole series of one-on-one matchups,...

Exclusive Interview: Scott Campbell Talks The Great Showdowns
Halloween is almost upon us so we decided to sit down with the talented artist Scott Campbell to discuss his new book, The Great Showdowns. We also discussed his work on such video games as Psychonauts and Brutal Legend.

Amanda Dyar: The Great Showdowns is a great new book that features artwork of the greatest confrontations in cinema history. Where did the original idea for Great Showdowns originate from, and what made you decide to release your art into its own book?

Scott Campbell: The Great Showdowns began with 10 small candy sized paintings for the annual Crazy 4 Cult show at Gallery 1988 in Los Angeles. A group show in which artists create work inspired by cult films. I enjoyed drawing my favorite film moments just standing around with each other. They looked like they were really enjoying themselves together because they were really quite pleased to be included in this line up of films.

10 Movie Prequels or Sequels We Most Want To See!
Biopics aside, it is rare that a film will tell the life of a character from cradle to grave; and with good reason, as it is rare that anyone’s entire life will be filled with enough moments of drama, action or romance. Most movies cover a moment of heightened emotion and extreme circumstance in a person’s life. They are about people learning life lessons through a series of events. Superheroes aside, of course.

And yet there are some characters whose histories appear so rich and interesting that although they might be alluded to leave you salivating to learn more. Likewise, there are some characters that you wish to stay alongside and see what...
